I think it depends on their relationship with the person? Sometimes my sims drift apart and then when the sim's parent dies, they don't really care, but if they're friends then they get upset.

The problem is that you can't delete the imaginary friend, even if you have moveobjects on! I have tried so hard to get rid of that stupid thing but it won't delete!! I don't know how to get rid of it!

This happened to me too! It happened after two of my sims used a Young Again potion, but that's supposed to just reset them back to young adult, not stop aging completely. I unclicked aging on and reclicked it and exited it (but I didn't start the game again) so I hope it worked. I'll update it when I play the game again.

Can a mod please delete this? I restarted my computer and the launcher suddenly worked again. I didn't do anything special to it or anything so I don't know why it's working now as opposed to before but I'm not complaining.

I have this problem too and I haven't even installed the game yet! I tried to earlier but it froze while trying to "update" my base game so i had to restart my computer and it came up with this when I tried to enter the launcher. I'm using the disks too.

One way to get your butler to stop cooking is to make the kitchen in a separate room with doors and then set it to lock "everyone but household." Since the butler isn't technically part of the family, they won't be allowed in the room. The only thing is then you have to bring a plate of food out to them during meal time.

Same as MariskaAmy, you can check by checking how many traits they have. If they have 4 they're a teen. If she's also a teen and you still can't get them to be romantically interested in one another, maybe you should try with another girl. If it still doesn't work then maybe you can submit it in the bugs post.

The penthouses are usually meant for smaller families. Usually, 3 or 4 sims. And the beginning apartments are usually meant for 1 person because they're supposed to be starters. The only thing that I can think of is that perhaps there is some content that is already install within the version that you bought (which is worth $7) and then you get an extra $10 to spend on whatever you want in the store?
