Hi, This is such a massive thread, so apologies if this has been discussed before. I’ve been playing around with marriage/pregnancy settings and have the following setup: Bypass played households for marriage Enable played households for pregnancy Now, despite having played households switched off for marriage, they still…
Y'all can go over to AHQ and hit "me too" on this thread I just created. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Sims-will-not-stay-seated-in-restaurants/m-p/7010028#M71650 Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I love playing restaurants in this game, but they frustrate the heck out of me at the moment.
That thread’s been archived. As far as I’m aware, there’s no active bug reports for anything restaurant related over on ahq, which is the official forum for bug fixes now. I’ll put together a new bug report soon.
You'd think after all the negative feedback toward terrible random outfits on both Townies and NPCs that the developers would stop introducing new situations for these horrible outfits, lol.
The first time I had my sims play it and one of them won. I thought the odds were stacked too high in favour of my sims and that they didn’t need the money so I cheated the winnings away lol. I decided that in future I would only play the lottery in families that could really use the money.
That cheat doesn't seem to work anymore :( but thank you. I had to play a test Sim for a whole week and wait for the power to be shut off. Turns out I was able to replicate the issue in a new save without mods. I'll go and post it on AHQ.
- bugs - Holidays aren’t as interesting or game changing for my style of gameplay. As @MidnightAura said, they’re basically re-skinned events. I wish sims did a lot more on their own when it came to celebrating the holidays instead of me having to tell everyone to do a specific task to complete the holiday goal. Speaking…
Sims only get obsessed with object interactions that have a higher attraction score than others. For example, "troll teh forums" interaction has an attraction rate of 1.24 whereas the standard score for other interactions is between 0.5 and 0.75. I think some interactions should definitely have a higher score than others,…
It could mean that you don’t need the thermostat and therefore, save money from not having it? It may also mean your sim can wear any outfit outside without worrying about temperature.
Thank you gurus for making me excited to get home from my vacation and play Sims  Seriously though, I’ve been away since January and being able to play seasons, laundry day and jungle adventure for the first time all at once when I get home next week is going to be amazing!
Couldn't pet stores be considered a destination? Those were proposed as potential game packs. Sure animals have been fx in GPs so far, but why would that mean they can only be fx in the future? Further, I don't really understand the reasoning behind small pets not being doable in a GP because they are restricted to…
I'm also on exchange in the USA and I can testify that the coffee both at my university and around town is not as good as NZ coffee ;) The one good thing is that you can get a ginormous sized coffee for relatively cheap! On topic, how dare they re-skin objects!
It's a very nice post, and the tone makes it very easy to read. Not that I'm against emotional writing, but sometimes I find it jarring to read through aggression.
I think telling people they need to relax and not to get worked up sounds like you don't respect others opinions. Keeping the topic on the pack and ethics around the release of the pack is probably for the best, as we've been told repeatedly by the mods.
Yeah, I wasn't necessarily referring to them as being from an indie developer, but rather an example of a franchise being continued by someone else (Frontier as opposed to Atari), not just indie devs.
I think that's likely to be the case if The Sims does morph into something unrecognisable. There are many examples of failed franchises being revived by other companies. C:S and Planet Coaster are the obvious ones that come to my mind, in addition to what you've mentioned. The only issue I have with indie games is that…
Not to mention Simmers aren't a homogenous mass who all like/dislike/praise/defend/nitpick/criticise for the same reason...Anything that attempts to claim such a thing is a baseless generalisation.
Regardless, you'll be estimating on sales figures and the amount of people refusing/buying anyway. So go right ahead and speculate on those likes/dislikes, I say... Ahahahuuum, already 1k dislikes. Compare that to the CD trailer, which only has 100 something dislikes.
From memory, TS4 was in development and nearing release around the time EA was reporting losses across the entire company. Before it was released, producers were being laid off. I don't necessarily think the initial reception was wholly responsible for the game's budget moving forward, and if budgets were reconsidered,…
Does it not make you wonder how a pack, such as an EP, stays the same price over 18 years, as it has for me, when various cost factors contributing to development would've risen sharply (dev salaries mostly come to mind)?
