How about this, you don't want to control pets, so make them like The Sims 2, pets in that are uncontrollable, but you can create them and they are not objects, heck in The Sims 1 Unleashed dogs and cats also weren't objects. If you honestly believe that making pets objects is quality, then clearly you enjoy bassinet…
Long-time simmers such as myself, started playing with TS1 in 2000, are annoyed on how much was cut from the previous installments. The game is much too simplified and like a spin-off instead of the main series, not that I don't like TS4, but it needs a LOT of improvement from how it is now. Outdoor Retreat and Get to Work…
Appearance-wise yes, and they were more interact able then TS3 babies, but they still couldn't do much other then eat, sleep, and soil themselves. Just like real babies;-)
@Anonymous_Loba24 Story Progression to stop it, click on your sim, click nraas, click story progression, go to general settings, click stories, the default is set to all, you can modify it to click none, or just choose to have stories shown of blood relatives, romantic, friends, enemies, or spouses.
And this is why The Sims 4 takes place in a world where everyone is happy and nothing bad happens. That is my idea of boring as tedium. By and By, what is your view on exciting?
My view is that The Sims 3 went for a "realism" design, where The Sims 4 went for a more cartoony (can't think of a better term) design. I like them both however.
From all I've seen, it's anger or indifference about them being missing from the base game after we were told they'd be in an pre-release interview. Most of it boils down to people getting angry after they believe toddlers are coming in a content patch based on any remote "hints" on Twitter.
I agree with most others feelings, because yes they were promised when TS4 was in development, I also keep in mind how long the sims series has been running, 15 years, I started with TS1 and was wowed by TS2, it had aging and family play and larger worlds. TS3 got me exited for different reasons, but it kept me believing…
Now, I am in fact a family player, I work with generations, as many as I can, but Toddlers were annoying in TS3, if you didn't want bad traits, you had to teach them all their life skills, sure this was a concequence of action design, but it's kind of hard to teach them to walk and talk, and potty train them especially…
Toddlers, toddlers, and more plumbing toddlers!!! I m with several others who are indifferent about them, I'd rather see improvements that make TS4 more exiting and less Goal-oriented, I'd prefer careers to be more like TS2 and TS3, skills and relationships with the daily tasks as an extra bump to career performance not…
60/100 until they add more random events and stop making the game a dollhouse where virtually nothing bad happens and the sims a virtually always happy.
