Forgive the necro, but someone recently helped me set this up in a very ideal way and I wanted to share. See this link for instructions on how to completely prevent alien abductions (and visits, if you like) permanently: https://www.nraas.net/community/post79825#p79825
> @igazor said: > @Vic2Point0 - That is not how Retuner works. Since you have opened up a thread at NRaas, let's continue over there. Alright, awesome. I read your post there and it really helped. For any other curious noobs like me, detailed instructions can be found here:…
Yeah I'm still lost. There must be a step I'm skipping somewhere, because I tested it by copying and pasting the section that's supposed to reduce book prices onto the document, and it didn't have any effect. So any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated!
Alright, so I downloaded what I THINK is the Retuner itself by clicking on the "Download for patch 1.67/69" link. I ended up with a PACKAGE file which opened with Notepad and has a bunch of weird symbols in it, lol. Another forum told me I needed to put this in somewhere: General > By Tunable XML >…
> @igazor said: > @Vic2Point0 - Yes, with mod usage. That can be arranged by way of a tuning mod, bluegenjutsu has one up on The Sims Asylum. Or by way of NRaas Retuner -- do a ctrl +F type of find for "alien" on this page. What about this one? It's all I could find on that first website you gave me.…
🐸🐸🐸🐸. For some reason, the link that came up when I searched for "thesimsasylum bluegenjutsu tuning mod" isn't working and "alien" doesn't show up when I search for it on that other link. Argh!
> @Auroraskies said: > @Vic2Point0 Sorry that it didn't work. If you decide to ask J.M Pescado about AM, or the ones who have updated the mod, over at MATY, I think it is a lot about how you present yourself that determines if you will get you a positive answer. The ones now active elsewhere don't have such a nice posting…
Assuming you mean Chain_Reaction, I did reply to him in the forums but I suppose I could try to contact him again. I appreciate your willingness to help!

No luck :( I assume you meant to type that command in after Ctrl+Shift+C? Tried that, it made the sound to confirm…
Well to be honest, I'd prefer to use Master Controller (for its simplicity) but I'm desperate to find a way to really, truly remove these books. I will follow your advice and make a backup file though. Would it be too much to ask just what sort of file I'm looking for? Or should I just copy the whole Saves folder and call…
> @igazor said: > @Vic2Point0 - It should be noted here that AwesomeMod is a far-reaching Core Mod and a (relatively simple) removal procedure is required if you do not already have it and are planning to add it in for strictly this purpose, then later choose to remove it. Yeah, I guess I don't understand how to make it…

Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to be posting this, but I can't create a new Discussion for some reason so here I go. I'm trying to figure out a way to completely remove certain books (written by my Sim) from the game. I downloaded a mod that lets me delete the book itself, but the name of the book is still saved…
