I'm very grateful to the 35 people that have already downloaded the town. I'm still trying to figure out how to upload a populated version of this town.
I have a populated version of the town that I'm trying to upload but can't. I know it's not as great of a build as other towns but I thought people might want to play with my sims. Hmmmm, I'll have to continue trying this.
I only like it if I'm playing a legacy challenge. The town tends to offer the most accommodation to other expansion pack objects/lots and that's the only reason I play it. Otherwise, I'm usually somewhere else. I get bored with it easily.
Section to Place World - Late Night Name: Old Redfordtown by StefferC Link to Thread: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/745940.page Tech: Base Game and Late Night- though you don't even have to have Late Night to use most of the objects and lots. (Shameless plug) Try my world! It's gritty, and not nearly as nice as some of the worlds mentioned above, but it's small and compact and you can play around in it. http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8120775
You can download my town from the exchange. It's not perfect but it is compact and has several dumpsters. It's called Old Redfordtown. There's no CC and it's mostly base game stuff so it's a small download compared to other worlds and she can dumpster dive to her heart's content.…
I'm able to play in University (no freezing) but I notice some lag when I'm in there. Also, my poor sim ended up missing two classes because the entrance way was jammed with other sims.
I've also felt the need to use mods to enhance story progression. One thing I have noticed with EA's progression- when it works, it's a little bit "smarter" than a mod story progression. However, more often than not it doesn't work at all. Which is too bad because if it did work it would be pretty good. One time in my…
Send them through the catacombs in the cemetery, taking the riskiest routes (whenever the choice comes up). It's funny to see them come out all roughed up with the "mauled by bear" moodlet or "horrified" moodlet.
@Pamhamlet, yeah I actually answered my own question in another thread. Thanks for the response, though. I would've really loved another urban neighborhood that accomodated the Late Night pack but I might still get the town.
Not sure if I want the art deco attire. Doesn't really fit with any of the stories I have going on right now. If I was to get Roaring Heights, I was thinking about playing present-day South Beach, adding a few tagged walls to smaller buildings since I have the University pack and making some of the modern clubs they have…
Okay, looks like there are a few skyscraper rabbit holes (one's a spa, one's a bookstore) and that's it, so far. Darn. Not interested in playing the Capps either. Nice to see an east coast world, though.
You can look up 'StefferC' and try out mine. No CC, a few store items. I've got New Wave artists (Annie Lennox, Pete Burns, etc), Hunger Games characters, Kim and Kanye, some general sims for any town and the cast from My Name is Earl. Good luck.
Good job! All I did was re-classify the lonely literary cafe as a java hut and throw down a barista bar. This caused some glitches like drinks/snacks disappearing after they are served. Yours probably worked well.
Good start to this story. Craig is a pretty grouchy guy. Will he be a grouchy dad? Will everyone learn to live together or will they have to move out? That's what I would like to know.
