@LimpBiscuit A valiant effort but yeah, I'm definitely seeing some different things with the propx's I'm looking at, some of the empty space has data in mine and things don't seem to line up. Probably right about that AudioCount though, and I figured those first two bytes were a version identifier also as the propx's seem…
I managed to decode one propx enough to track down the instance id of what actual SNR sound it points to (computer startup) and was able to finally decode it using a seriously old version of ealayer3 but in order to do so I had to use an offset of 12 bytes into the file (that took some experimentation!) However, there's a…
No problem - haven't played with vfx much other than in an object's state, so was wasn't at all sure that would work, good to know I wasn't sending you down a dead end road ;)
Since the version in the outcome isn't a TunableList, perhaps it would work to instead put multiple vfx tuples? Like this: <U n="outcome"> <L n="basic_extras"> <V t="vfx"> <U n="vfx"> <U n="vfx"> <T n="effect_name">gp1_Obj_kwanzaa_day_01_putout</T> <V t="Slot" n="joint_name"> <T n="Slot">_FX_0</T> </V> </U> </U> </V> <V…
Thanks! I wasn't 100% sure I was covering all the bases to do that safely, so having a knowledgeable eye look at it is appreciated. Making changes to immutables can be a bit risky when you don't know the code thoroughly (thus why someone made them immutable to begin with ;)
Yes it's still working, but sometimes there can be hidden problems. I'm back to modding for a bit, so I did check it a few days ago and it doesn't require an update.
For those who have been waiting for the Outfit Tools mod to be updated post Dec. 4 game patch - it's finally working again thanks to Deaderpool's assistance. http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=541770 You still need to use Sims 4 Studio to fix the outfits with the bad tags of course.
Outfit Tools (copy outfits, reset the bathing outfit) has been updated: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=541770 This update would not(*) have been possible without Deaderpool's research and assistance, so a big thanks goes out to him from me (and others I'm sure)! (*) Seriously, I would NEVER have figured out how to…
By popular request - Door Locks version 3c is now available which fixes the sim selection dialog(*). http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=552565 (*) Since players haven't been able to fully use the mod for some time, there may be additional new bugs which have yet to surface - but everything I tested seems to be working…
And now Evolve All Plants has been updated to version 5: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=545711 It too was mostly working, but there is a syntax change in one type of file that, while still working, may be obsoleted one day - so version 5 should be considered a REQUIRED upgrade if you have your game fully patched.
Faster Gardening has been updated: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=536590 It wasn't really broken as such, but was missing some of the newer game features. Upgrading is definitely recommended if you want social groups doing gardening.
Yeah, while I'm in the mood for it I'll be updating the most likely suspects. It will probably take a while and I haven't made a definitive list of what will get updated - going to start with just my mods and if I see something deserving of attention that is abandoned by another modder I will consider it. I'll post here if…
They pick a "daily outfit" from their outfits each morning (it may repeat the same outfit, if I recall correctly) and they will always choose to switch to that outfit. So sticky clothes choice will fix that: http://modthesims.info/d/547608 It's a script mod, and I know some folks like to avoid those like the plague, but…
RuebenHood's Sleep All Night mod will fix that. It's not been updated in ages, but I still use it in my game and haven't experienced problems. http://modthesims.info/d/538740
OK, I took a look into this and found the reason why the interaction is crashing out. The code is trying to find the closest bookshelf which contains the book to get/put and the inv_owner_dist() function in posture_path is crashing as it tries to estimate the distance to the book stack. The code isn't expecting the…
Hmm, that kind of sucks. If you create a new sim of the same age and gender do they have a mangled bathing outfit? If not, you could try copying the bathing outfit from them to an affected sim by hand and see if that clears it up. It would be a pain to do the copy for each sim you need, but might solve the problem. With…
@seahorsegirl33 - Note that Sims 4 Studio just fixes the bad CC, it can't repair the sims in your game that might be bathing in clothes (at least not yet, AFAIK) so you won't see an immediate change in the game. You will either need to manually fix the sims with bad outfits in game, or use a mod to fix your sims. This is…
Nope, just unsetting the high-bit of both the COBJ/OBJD instances fixed it so it loaded up and worked fine. When the high-bit was set, the COBJ loaded, but not the OBJD. I'm guessing somewhere the OBJD is being treated as a signed value and the high-bit ignored or thrown out. ETA: But when using group 0x80000000 it worked…
Haven't looked at the Python code to see exactly how it's implemented, but yes a periodic stat change will advertise to autonomy by default. Whether it adds up all the effects of all the statistic changes for the advertisement or not will probably require examining the code or hopefully a SimGuru might know. The automatic…
Seems to still be a problem with 64-bit instances. At least for me if I use the high-bit it will fail to load the object throwing an exception:line 303, in _load_definition KeyError: "resource does not exist: '00000000!8dbb6d4e'f7429c80.c0db5ae7'" If I changed the instance ID to 0x0DBB6D4EF7429C80 it loaded up without…
