When you update or add a new game pack you have to find updated mods or remove them from the game. Any mod that affects relation ships can cause this, but any of them that are out of date can do this.
When they hit child age, you can call them, invite them over & use a cheat to add them back into the family. They do not roll up next in the adoption pool as they did in sims 2. Sometime they end up with a random family you are not playing.

You are not looking in the corrupt place. You are looking in the Documents folder. You need to be in the main program folders. Your find this by going to Computer or My computer, then to Program files follow the string to find them that Nick game you.

ALL of the programs used to make CC work fine on windows 7. If they work on Vista, it will work on Windows 7. Not sure what you are doing to keep them from working.
If adobe air is not allowed to update or has an error you can not install store content. Take the disc out of the PC. Re-start the PC.
