I think the main reason why they weren't able to add actual shops is because there would be no way for a Sim to be store keeper. If you think back, all of the store keepers and people who maintained the community lots in Sims 2 were "Townie" NPCs who generally just stayed at that shop constantly whenever you would load up…
I'm pretty happy with how Sims 3 is. It has a lot of similar features to Sims 2, but there really wasn't any reason to change most of that stuff since it was already pretty much perfect before.
I'll give it a 9.7. I love the gameplay, but I was a little disappointed with the selection of hair styles. Kind of hard to make some of the Sims you want with that selection of hair. I'm sure they'll add plenty of hair types to the store and with expansions though, so I'll probably bump it up to a 10 soon as that happens.
Wait, so what's the problem? *** marriage works fine in the game. I just went into character customization to test it, made two male characters, and then went to the "Edit Relationships" screen before making the family and the option to make them married was there just like it has always been.
My Sim got married, had a kid, then his wife died in a fire, got married again, had three kids this time, and then became President about an hour ago. Pretty challenging trying to juggle all of those mood bars, especially with the toddlers.
At first I didn't use it, but then my Sim got married and had triplets. With the increased aging time, it's about 30 days or something just for them to become toddlers. Would have been a nightmare without using the cheat to bring up their moods.
Hmm.. What neighborhood are you in? If you're in Riverview, the hospital is away from the middle island and near the Stadium. For the other town, I believe it's some where near the Park in the middle of the town.
I think you can. Try to go to the main menu where you select your Sim file to load up, and click "New Game" and the new file will be a reset neighborhood.
Give it a month or two. Soon as the modding community starts making stuff, I'm sure you'll see tons of great hairstyles. Most of them will probably be up for free download on sites other than the Sims 3 store.
I guess it could be worth it. Mostly just for it being conveniently in one book. You would probably be able to find pretty much the same information online with a bit of googling though.
Only thing I don't like so far is the Custom Music selection on the stereo. Non-Sim language inside of Sims feels kind of bizarre, especially that rap song.
They'll come out really dark if you do a screencap. Try to press the C key to snap a photo and then go to C:\Users\User-Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Screenshots Should have all of your screenshots saved in that folder.
Very happy. I've never been looking forward to expansions as much as I am now. Should be fun to be able to walk pets through the city and watch them interact with each other in the park.
Nah, I'm happy with it. Compared to the first Sims 2 game (without any expansions) Sims 3 is far better. Also, yeah you can make multiple story homes. Just click the thing that looks like small doorsteps, it also works as a larger stair case if you place it in the middle of the house.
If we were to just compare the base games, I'd go with Sims 3 hands down. Far more content and things to do. You have to remember, back with Sims 2, we didn't even have Downtown lots until the second expansion I think it was. I'm sure Sims 3 will get even better as they release expansions for it. It's hard to compare a…
I'm very happy with the game. To be honest, my hopes were low from the start. I didn't expect anything that amazing, since most games rarely deliver as much as they advertise. I was happily surprised after a few hours into the game though. Free roam neighborhood is great, the careers are a lot of fun. My sim was just…
It kind of felt like that at first, but now that I'm a few hours into the game it's a lot better. My Sim was just walking by the book store earlier though, and I saw about 15 people standing around listening to a Sim play the guitar, so that was pretty cool. Another time I was walking near the Town Square and I saw a small…
It's a new game, people just love to complain. Give it a week or so and I'm sure people will like it. It improves on pretty much every area of Sims 2, so there's really no reason not to like it if you enjoyed the previous games.
I love the game. There's a few things I would like added, for example, maybe some more hair styles, but in general everything is great. I haven't run into any glitches yet, and the free roam neighborhood is perfect. I honestly think I would have trouble going back to the zoned lots of Sims 2 after playing this.
