A new youtube tutorial for those who like it: building bulk head basements/storm cellars :) Fully functional and animated doors! https://youtu.be/GozcAtS-6B4
Walls can either have a shine (tiles) or not (paint). Doubt there's much of a difference between glossy/shiny/semi-reflective. Found these, but that's all i could find. https://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims4-walls/title/steampunked-copper-wall/id/1578279/…
@Jade47 thank you so much! :) though I don't often do the actual designing, since I model after existing builds. I'm so happy there's plenty of inspiration and challenges out there though! Villa Mistral and the Eppich House were really nice ones ^_^
Just fyi, for the 'height limit'. There is a workaround for making a fifth floor (sort of): https://youtu.be/pZy4TH28sKM I love building this kind of out of the box things. Althought I usually go a bit more towards existing things that are just really difficult to build in TS4 lol. If I didn't only have basegame, I might…
Rosemaw is right, if you want to change the screenshots that go with your upload, you can do this using tray importer. However, doing so WILL tag the upload as CC/modded, so you might as well just upload is as default generated by EA, since this will keep it unmodded :)
thank you so much! @BreeMiles @JojoMOMSTER @ThaPhoenix1 it's been a while since I last posted, getting real life back on track slowly :) Btw Phoenix, so jealous of that restaurant! :O
Made a new build over the past few months. Been a challenge, but totally worth it! It's modeled after Villa mistral, shown here: The build is completely built using basegame only! Full slideshow here Upload itself is not flawless, sorry, been a long day, but I'm happy I built it :) Just in case anyone feels like changing…

If you're up to using CC, It's fairly easy to create a fence without a texture, so it is -in fact- invisible. If you're not, you're stuck with either a (half wall) or a fence on top of your 'retaining wall' or just using a half wall itself. A half wall is a bit more narrow and does not have foundation designs, but it is…
If you want a functional, diagonal floor with tiles, the answer is no, it's not possible. You can manipulate the terrain and then use the terrain paints available, but that's as far as you'll go. If you want, for example a driveway that looks like concrete, but doesn't have to be functional (sims don't need to walk on it…
Don't report it, EA doesn't care since it's all their content anyway and the more uploads they have, the more popular they seem. The only result of that is that you no longer can see the creation (they just hide reported content from the reporter). Also, the person did tag you, while not exactly credit, at least they did…
@Pamtastic72, using shift doesn't work on hipped roofs or round ones sadly. Also, the workaround you quoted is from almost a year ago and doesn't work permanently, it always resets on visiting manage worlds. The video I posted uses a new/different workaround and does not have the eaves issue anyway ;-)…
I apologize for posting here, since the thread was non-active for a while, but in the meantime I did find a full workaround that works and sticks! (only for PC players, since you do need TOOL for this :( ) https://youtu.be/2hRu7D4Wa3k
so you copy all builders from the old thread except for me, just cause I said I might not be their best bet because I use MOO? A bunch of the people you did copy also use MOO. Thanks.... lol :D Still a pretty vanilla builder here though! Do you consider NoCC art mod/CC? Might be interesting for people to know, because I -…
@nali272 thank you! :) I uploaded it also separately It is completely basegame It's basically the rounded side tables, freeplaced debug posts and shelves and I think I used a dresser for the top too.
If you know where you originally placed it (so where the original footprint was), place another object there, grab the sledgehammer and drag a tiny square with it when deleting the object. This will delete any furniture object with a footprint within that square, including invisible ones. If you are not exactly sure where…
Built a new house! The Eppich House II by Arthur Erickson was my goal and I can honestly say it isn't too bad :) How to build staircases in pools Removing walls from roofs using TOOL Goal: How it turned out:

Also, there is a way to get a similar effect, but you'd have to forfeit the open space behind the beams. Grab a few roofs for the diagonal bits, place a few trims for the horizontal ones and keep the vertical beam in the center (use debug and moveobjects to raise the beams on top of each other) ;-)
Made a new build using the 'open basement' technique. It's a big 5 bed/4bath classic house this time. While classic is definitely not my strong suit, it is sometimes a nice change of pace :) Also had to use this fix to remove the phantom shadows created by the platform in the basement...
