I've often thought that if we had a Sims game that took the humor and attention to detail from Sims 2, open world and create a style of Sims 3 and create a sim of Sims 4 then that would be an amazing Sims game.
Thank you everyone for all of your suggestions! Settled on Cats & Dogs, Cottage Living and Island Living. That should keep her entertained for a while :D
I'm having to remind myself over and over that lack of toddlers was not the only reason why I didn't buy Sims 4, there are still lots of other issues....but these toddlers though!! So cute, they really do look good! I'm so happy for all of you that have been waiting, I truly hope you all really enjoy your Simming time. It…
Is this actually happening?! I am totally stunned! Having to physically restrain myself from going crazy and buying everything Sims 4 related! Will wait until I see what the lovely sparkfairy has to say.
I love Hidden Springs, it's one if my favourite worlds to play in. Looks beautiful in every season, it has some of the most beautiful scenery. I somehow always end up going back to it, no matter what other world I originally started playing in so for that alone, it was certainly worth buying.
How far in advance is the theme of gps/stuff packs/expansions decided? Who is involved with deciding what content will be in them? Some Info Here And Here
I'm no fan of Sims 4 but I don't think it should end now. If for no other reason, those who enjoy the game and continue to buy new content deserve to have as much as possible. I had a real love/hate relationship with Sims 3 for such a long time but I would've been furious if they had just pulled the plug on it, Sims 4…
Welcome back to Sims 3! Like others have already said, the NRAAS mods are excellent. Took me a long time to pull my big girl pants on and read up on them and get them installed, wish I had done it sooner! Let us know how your game goes, sounds like you'll have lots to do and play with :)
I had to re-read Aine's post several times to find where exactly they said anything about those "who like the game are wrong, aren't a true simmer and wouldn't know a sims game if it came and smacked them in the mouth" and there's nothing of the sort there. I think this is exactly what SGDrake has been trying to point out…
@SimGuruDrake In the interests of trying to heal the forums, would it perhaps be helpful if some of the Gurus could come to the forums to discuss development etc knowing that there will more than likely be negativity from some, questions that can't be answered etc but just continuing to be here anyway? It's only my opinion…
I'll always pop into this thread every now and then, it's one of the few places left on the forum that feels genuinely comfortable to just chat away with fellow Simmers and listen to who's enjoying what in their game regardless of which iteration of the Sims they're playing.
For me, if Sims 4 was a game that had true depth and fully immersive gameplay that catered to multiple playstyles, I would consider buying even without toddlers. It's not a dealbreaker for me although I do tend to lean mostly toward family play. Sims 3 was such a love/hate experience for me due to all the bugs etc, I had…
I started reading a few posts yesterday and had to stop because it was just making me feel utterly miserable but decided to pop back on today and just read as much as I could to try and get the whole picture. First of all, @sparkfairy1 my lovely, you do not have to justify or explain your actions anymore. It is very clear…
I'm exactly the same @sparkfairy1 I haven't played for quite a few months, I just felt so put off with anything Sim-related! Decided to start over with a new Sim and just try and get back to enjoying my game again.
Hi everyone :) I had to take a complete break from all Sim things, felt so disillusioned with it all but decided to dip back into Sims 3 and of course, come back to see all of you lovely people. Seems like not much has really changed which is beyond disappointing but not remotely surprising.
Agreed! I've noticed the person very rarely engages in a productive manner so for the sake of calm, I just skim on by if I see their name pop up. I like constructive conversation, we don't all need to agree but arguing for the sake of it is pointless.
Couldn't agree with you more! If Sims 4 sales were great, EA would be would be more than happy to broadcast that information! The very fact that they don't give actual sales figures for Sims 4 to me, speaks volumes.
Welcome to one of the nicest threads on the forum @Dakota88 it's like my online version of a cookie, makes me feel all cosy and relaxed! :) @sparkfairy1 hope you're starting to feel better. I deliberately stayed off the forums for a while after I saw the a thread showing the Wilsons' picture and the reactions were already…
I just noticed last night, my child Sim was holding court in the dining room quite happily playing away and when his mother walked in the room she bowed to him. Can't believe I've managed to miss that for so long!
Agree with everything above really, I don't understand why other people's opinions on a forum would have any bearing on your enjoyment of a game. They're not sitting beside you dishing out the criticism!
Definitely a great way to achieve instant immersion! My husband did that for me once and regretted it almost immediately as I suddenly became deaf to everything else! :D
