Oh yes the cows! They and the decor near them (like pieces of fence and gate) tend to float at different heights above the ground too. It's a crack-up! I also really hope it's a hint at farms...

I had this too; I sent my sim into the bathroom with the litterbox and whistled for the cat to follow, then it used the box. (ETA: his name was Felix too! After a tuxedo kitty I used to have ♥‿♥ I miss him...)

I think part of the problem was that we voted for the style before the gameplay. If laundry had won before we voted on the first two rooms, then Style A would have been a more likely fit.
