And that's too bad since I REALLY don't like Epic or their business model otherwise, taking a loss on game sales by giving huge titles away for free, living on their Fortnite income in order to drive other companies out of the business.
This is something I don't like. Being someone who can spend hours designing wardrobes for every Sim, I would hate being locked out of wardrobe options because of money, I would have to use cheats if that's the case.
First of all, "stories" is not the issue here, NO version of the Sims have been able to do more than Dramas and Rom-Coms, I am not sure why you expected this game to do more than that, and in that case what "more" exactly? Splatter horror? Space travel? Racing game? The issue here are things that you are not interested in,…
I am definitely looking forward to this. To be fair I also reached end-of-interest with Sims 4 about a year ago; I have almost 4000 hours in the game but somewhere after buying Werewolves I just... never felt like starting it again. It doesn't help with all the stupid stuff the devs claim is on purpose, like werewolves…
The CIMS are placeholders. If you think people meant to be viewed from 1000 ft in the air is the detail they will have in the "Sims" game... that's a GRAVE mistake. The game definitely looks MORE detailed than Sims 4. Now, let's see if Life By You will do to Sims 4 what Cities Skylines did to SimCity, aka mug it of it's…
Oh speaking of gallery: Implement the filter so you can opt out of packs you don't own. I know they have chosen to not make it possible since they want you to be tempted to buy everything.
Honestly what truly annoys me with Sims 4 are just a few things, and all of them can be boiled down to deliberately choosing a game engine not suited for the game: 1. The lack of detail in animations. Compare to Sims 2, where the Sims reached into cabinets to get cookwares etc. 2. The lack of open world. Imagine a local…
This all sounds very unspecific, and by that I mean you are avoiding to specify what you don't like on purpose. Which probably means you and I have completely opposite views on virtually everything, and I am 50 and has played every single major release (no console / mobile games) of the Sims. Anyway, if my suspicions are…
Seriously the phone mania needs to be nerfed to the ground. Other than that... can the "when to take the bike and when not to" be tweaked? Middle Distance seems to be a problem... when it takes longer for the Sim to haul out the bike, get on the bike (probably in the kitchen!) and then zig zag out on the street and then…
I just realized something: A teenager, with no experience in any field whatsoever, can make much more money, much quicker, "selling outfits" than a professional stylist or style influencer who has gone thru University? That's... not good.
I would say realistically it will take 2 months before the glaring things are fixed and 6 months before everything they consider worth fixing is fixed. I am not optimistic about things like Phone Addiction, since it seems they don't consider it a bug despite happening to raging werewolves for example.
Seriously, even werewolves when running on all fours get their phone out and start hovering with their upper body while the legs still run in an "all fours" position.
Yes. They are actively disregarding 8 years worth of expansions. I get being underfunded and don't having time, but in that case just don't implement it at all, IMHO.
So they made the game worse on purpose? Because if Wants and Fears are better, in theory, than whims, but cannot connect to 8 years worth of packs, then yeah... no. You just made the game worse. If you didn't have time to add it in for all packs, don't add it in at all and instead keep the whims!
Seems more likely that they manage, somehow, to bypass default checks. Happens with other things too, like the aging bug and other things over the years: They have a set rule in the code that checks for blood relations, right? Then suddenly an update or a pack ignores, or bypasses that check. I am not a professional…
