Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on this forum. All of your amazing work has inspired me to re-do Sunset Valley in preparation for the upcoming Seasons EP.

Nice work! I can't remember exactly how the house looked originally but I doubt it's as nice as yours. I like that you've taken the time to list all the store items used too. :-) Also you may get more replies if you post the images in this thread rather than link to them separately. People (yes I admit... myself included) are often lazy and don't go searching for them. :P

Have a rec from me!

Thank you tdewd! I know what you mean about the pics. But I have to admit that I have no idea how to post them directly into the forum

I probably should've taken a before picture but I wasn't even considering uploading it until half way through.

I'm glad you like it and thanks for the rec! :D

Your remodeling looks pretty nice! I'll left a recommendation and I'll be looking for more of your work.

And for upload directly in the forum you just need to copy the image link and place between [ img ] Link [ /img] (without spaces). You can try this before submit your post and to find if it works well click "Preview".

You're welcome. :-)

And I see you use photobucket? Posting pics from there is quite easy when you know how. Simply navigate to a particular photo you want to upload and there should be a box displayed to the side or underneath it on the screen saying something like:

Email and IM: http//:blahblahblah...
Direct Link: http//:etcetcetc...
HTML Code: http//:somethingorother...
IMG Code: IMG Code and paste here. All going well it should post the picture. :-)

Edit: Agh! Beaten to it! ;-)

Thank you rosemow! I was really motivated to do this remodel because of the dining/kitchen area. It was set up so awkwardly in the original. I had a lot of fun with this house. I'm glad that you like it :D

Hey everyone! I'm back with my remodel of the Sekemoto family's home. It's located at 24 Sim Lane in Sunset Valley. This time I went for modern with a touch of Asian for the style of the house. Modern's are usually not my strong suit but I think this one came together rather nicely. I'm excited to hear what everyone thinks. :D

When I saw your thread link in another thread in the Seasons forum s I thought "oh she redid her SV too? Let me see what she did" because I've thought about posting a thread showing what i did to SV over several weeks (or a few "years") in sim time.

Then I saw you were redoing individual homes. I literally changed SV's entire "Town" section. however, seeing what you did to the houses makes me mad I got rid of all of mine. LOL Well, not all but the ones in the neighborhood behind City Hall are all gone. That's a new extension to the town area. MY SV looks so different compared to how it loads up. LOL

Now I'm about to start LP but I want to make it kinda Vegas-ish... theres the room but I'd like to add some skyscrappers I think. I just feel like it's a world that will work well with them, especially in terms of design (well at least many of the shells will do well here) but it's so much work. I'm burnt out.

@liquidy- Thank you so much for the rec's! :D It does take a lot of patience but I'm just taking it one house at a time. I had originally planned on replacing most of the homes with lots from the exchange and I have used quite a few of them. But the designing bug hit me while working on Claire Ursine's house and I just kept going from there. :D

@Conclue- LOL! Honestly I kept going through all of the worlds trying to find the best one for Seasons and Sunset Valley was clearly the winner. The problem was that I honestly HATE the pre-made houses in Sunset Valley. The layouts are awful and the decor is garish! I don't want to bad mouth the Sims team at EA, because they have definitely gotten TONS better. The houses in Moonlight Falls are really nice. But if I was going to use Sunset Valley I wanted it to be a neighborhood that didn't make me want to throw up.

You said that moderns are not one of your strong suits, BUT i think that they are because you have done a really great job with this modern themed make-over! :) The furnishings you have used and the way you have used them in the rooms are well done. You have definitely acheived the modern style with an Asian touch. Really great remodel :)

So I've been a very busy bee and I already have another house ready for you guys today. I call it the Springtime Craftsman. It's a remodel of the Cozy Craftsman located at 28 Sim Lane in Sunset Valley.

http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=6462198

I really tried to use the upcoming Seasons EP as an inspiration for this build. I've taken the classic elements of the Craftsman style, wood and stone, lightened them and accented with lots of spring colors.

I hope you guys love this lot as much as I do! :D
