Tippy911 - Hi and welcome. First I want to say great build. Love the pool and the pic for the optional challenge. Secondly, I just want to let you know that we usually put the pictures in a link because there are several people who do not like to look at someone else's build until they have finished with their own. I hope you will continue to participate, you really did a great job.

    OFFICIAL ENTRY FORM - #163-164 • Let's Get Supernatural!

    NAME: shadowinsims

    LINK TO LOT: http://www.mediafire.com/?mk93dwxij3jk4il

    LINK TO MEDIA: http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a261/swiftrayne/sims/Build Challenge/163-164 - Supernatural/?albumview=slideshow

    OPTIONAL CHALLENGE: hiddenfalls.jpg

    LEVEL: Intermediate

LOT SIZE ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 36X47, 53 Waterfall Way, §88,088

LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Hidden Falls is all about balance for the fairy triplets that inhabit it. Calixte prefers a more traditional, natural feel that their ancestors embraced and so treasured. One of her brothers, Tristan, feels that maybe it's time to update and get with the times, preferring more of a modern look. The taste of the third triplet, Sebbe, lies somewhere in between. And of course, they also disagreed on the location in which their new home was to be built. Calixte preferred somewhere secluded, where as her brothers wanted to live in a thriving neighborhood. Making some concessions on both sides of the spectrum, the triplets found common ground at 53 Waterfall Way. While it is more secluded than Tristan and Sebbe would have preferred, they eventually agreed that perhaps Sunset Valley wasn’t quite ready for fairies to come so far out of the woods.

Though it may not appear to be much more than a beautiful waterfall that flows into the serene pool of water below, hidden behind the falls lays a cozy 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that has been magically carved out of the rock that surrounds it by these three fairies. Decorated in warm woods with plenty of plants, items to remind them of nature, and a rooftop garden and pool, this home is perfect for fairies that desire the feeling of the great outdoors in the comfort of their own home. And with the waterfall covering the entrance, they’ll enjoy all the privacy they could ever want and need. While Calixte’s bedroom has a more natural feel, Tristan and Sebbe’s bedroom merges the natural feel of wood with a more modern look.

    CONSTRUCTIVE CRITCISM: Yes please.

I'm excited about the new challenge, sounds like fun!

Also, about how long does it take for the judges to pick winners for challenges?

Usually about a week but sometimes Real Life does interfer and it may take a bit longer. :D

Except in this case where I have had 2 crashes in 1 day. I have the results. I will hopefully be able to post in the next few hour.

Thank you! I think this was actually one of the easiest builds I've ever done. After I got the idea, it just seemed to all come together. :-) The main falls did take a bit of playing around with though, but it was fun to see what I could do with it.

Thanks! They do walk right through; I game tested it just to make for sure. :D I meant to make a little video that showed them walking through, but I forgot... perhaps I'll add that in later.

Two fey dwellings so far :D

@shadowinsims: I love your fairies! Great house too. What an intriguing idae to have them live behind a water fall! Mental rec

@daltaval: Your fey seem to live on a great pond. Lovely to see the different rooms as separate buildings.
Hint for picture taking: if you put in a ceiling or flat roof under the hipped roof, the sky doesn't show in your shots.

I've started a fey house too - don't know if I should maybe build a werewolf home instead for more diversity?

But I'm kind of in love with the fairy folk at the moment - got ideas for even more houses ...

    ahhh! decisions, decisions ...

Have fun and good luck to all you fellow builders
