Yes, I'm better about it than I have been with The Sims 2, though. I have not been able to find many CC clothing that I have wanted in The Sims 3, that's why I suppose.
No CC for me. I've sworn off CC ever since Sims 2. I used CC before Uni was released, and considered it a lesson learned To keep my game running as best as it can--under the EA circumstances and all--I stick to EA created content and I wont download from any site, even the Sims 3 exchange. I do use Sims 3 Store content, though some of that should not be trusted either :?
Yup had to reinstall, but i'll be getting back my custom content.
I find for the most part unless you don't actually like ANYTHING you see for CC, those who don't want it due to fear of it breaking their games are generally unexperienced with PC's, since most CC as long as you know where to get it from and what to look out for is 100% fine.
Core mods are generally when issues arise and even then, people plead ignorance when it clearly states its not compatible with OTHER core mods :P.
Do pigs fly? - Are Llamas special? - the answer to all three when it comes to Sims games is YES...
I use Twallen's mods plus a few others from MTS - default eyes from MTS, and some hairs also from MTS - and I create my own patterns for use in CAS and Create-A-Style.
Some sims I download from the exchange has CC and it's adds the CC that sim got into my game. I can't install CC from a CC website (like modthesims) I follow the tutorial and one of the things I installed caused some bugs in my game so I had to delete it all
But I do use store stuff (When I get SimPoints, very rare)
No. I learned my lesson like a few months ago with that...doll
However on my desktop I still have quite a bit of CC on my game because I just haven't deleted it yet. On my laptop I only have EA content. Like from the store. I don't even use the exchange, bad CC can spread through there to. Just like that doll....

Trust me, I've tried.
It's just... boring.
