It means, since Erik is experiencing the same thing, that he hasn't fulfilled any or enough aspiration points recently. Click on the popup and see what you need for your sim self needs to do to avert a harder mid-life crisis. Best of luck.

I have an interesting problem that I hope someone can help me resolve. Yesterday I took a Sim into CAS because I needed to fix two things about her outfit. I was able to add the long gloves, but then I went to fix her hairstyle. Wasn't the one I had chosen for her wedding gown. I scrolled endlessly and when I got to the bottom of that category, lo and behold the icon for a cc hair was all weird. Black was all over the face; temples, cheeks and she had what appeared to be a black covid mask on her face! Plus, a couple of question marks. I wasn't able to download and install either Sims 4 Studios or Sims 4 Tray Importer to help me, so I just completed the divide into groups all of the feminine hair. As I removed each batch, I went back into the game and took the same Sim into CAS. Each time, the odd icon was still there. I got down to just two, so I got wild and crazy and removed both of them. Then I went back into the game. I had this strange sense it was still there. Unfortunately, I was correct.
@GalacticGal, I hate it when cc breaks. CC texture problems are causing the patches and question marks. I wonder if the recent hair update affected it? Anyway, check to make sure you still have the meshes for all cc installed. Sometimes a mesh that’s installed separately from a cc object can get gone and make the item not work. Putting the mesh back in fixes the problem.

Your SimSelf very well could be headed into a mid-life crisis. The only thing I saw was a popup telling me he was experiencing such. That's when he started contemplating life. But, I did manage to fulfill two more of his goals in his aspiration. Oi! The only saving grace I have at this moment, is that I transferred some of my save files into a new saves folder and started in a new game folder. Nice and fresh. I'm back in the Spring, so if I can manage to have him fufill those two goals, perhaps, I can ward it off. Wish me luck.

Thank you. I tested every hair in the file and the weird icon was still in the hair menu in CAS. After seeking additional information (between Windows and Norton I was unable to download and install either Sims 4 Stuidios or Sims 4 Tray Importer. I ended up pulling about three folders full of cc, when it occurred to me to check my older game folder that had Erik in it prior. I did a side by side examination of the two Mods folders. Then I went into the older game and checked in CAS. No weird icon. I then took the folders of cc that were not in the older Mods folder, placing them one at a time into the Older Mods folder and then play-tested. I got everything back in with no sign of the troublesome icon.
What reason would this venue not be showing up as a location when planning an event? I'm planning a memorial in the form of a black and white bash and want to hold it at Newcrest Church but it doesn't come up as a location to choose from when planning a new event.

@Ellupelluellu It was originally set as a wedding venue but even that wasn't even showing up so i changed it to generic in hoping it would enable me to host the event. Should any community venue lot type be able to let me host an event there or do i have to choose a specific lot type?

Not sure, depends on event, I suppose All I know is that generic don't usually show up

@Brd709 , ah, I just now noticed you said "a black and white bash" , sorry never tried that and I don't know what locations it accepts, only seen it done in residents of other sims. I hope someone else can help you soon

I am in a bit of a pickle. In attempting to remove a corrupted piece of cc, which I seemed to succeed at, it's back again. I moved my game saves over into a 'new game'. I'm thinking if I save my overly large family (I use MCCC to add slots) to My Library to keep intact their present job and skill levels, et all, then set up the save with the venues and houses I used when I first began, I'll just have to reconnect relationships that broke with the move. I will also remove the latest piece of cc I returned wherein I suddenly saw the messed-up hair icon.
Do you think this would work, or should I just see if removing that latest cc will remove that evil icon? I am so close to throwing up my hands and just letting this save go. Please, help.
@GalacticGal maybe run a BE scan as it has an option “locate outfit cc” that talks about glitched cc. The conflicts scan has picked up an issue for me before that saved me doing the “remove then slowly add back in” testing. I hope this is able to help you. Otherwise maybe ask the question on AnswersHQ??? Sorry I can’t be of more help. Hope you get this sorted as I know how special this savefile story is not only for you but for many other simmers as well.

Do a 50-50 at your hair-files, and delete the bad CC hair. If you do not find the bugger hair, just select another hair for her.
