I'm very self-critical in CAS, and I'm not always happy with the sims I create...but I'm happy with the way Evelyn turned out. I created her to have a sort of stately elegance, and I think I pulled it off. Now if I can just get her to lose the weight she put on lol
Speaking of CAS, I definitely like to mix it up a bit--variety is good. Sitting in between my two pretty sims is Wanda Scabs. She was designed to be....not so pretty lol

I have 18th century cc in my other game. I cloned the Sims 4 folder, so that the mods I use for my Ancestral save won't interfere with Erik & Company.
But I do have to say, it's less jarring to see outfits of that nature in a present-day game, over the togs of NPCs in a more definitive earlier Era.
Russell made pizza for his husband and their children for a breakfast. He's a mixologist, but he had a day off.
Russell's husband William is a writer and he went to work.
Their daughter Brianna took a selfie before going to school.
Russell had a serious workout session when he was finally home alone.
After workout and a shower he sent a text message to William.
Brianna and her brother Jayden got home from school and Jayden pulled his loose tooth out (ouch). Brianna was miserable because of some teenage drama at school.
Brianna's crush Tane Ngata came to visit and Brianna complained about her school drama to him.
Tane consoled and hugged her and Brianna forgot her problems immediately.

I'm at a point in my game where I have all of the major packs (at least the ones that I want), and so lately I've been buying kits. I used these kits to create a house and household that I felt represented the early-mid 80's. This is Barry and Debbie Average, and this is their average 80's suburban house
I decided that Oasis Springs was becoming a bit too respectable, so I created someone creepy to live there. This is Julian Hammer, and he's wasting no time being creepy....
Wow, now that's bold. Julian ordered a drink just as the bartender was getting off work; he didn't get his drink and I guess he didn't feel like waiting for her replacement, so without any instruction from me, he went behind the counter and made his own drink. Imagine that happening at a real bar? lol
I think the nosy trait is now my favorite. I let my sims play with a bit of autonomy, and I think it's hilarious when they'll just whip out a pair of binoculars and spy on people lol

Did you ever play Sims2? I loved how an irate neighbor would storm over to give what for to the nosey (generally a teen) Sim who appeared to have been snooping on them. I miss that interaction, quite frankly.
Brianna was on a date with her first boyfriend Tane Ngata.
They did karaoke together (they were cute but they sounded horrible).
Brianna's father Russell was very emotional in front of a photo of Brianna as a toddler: "Oh, how time flies, it feels like she was just a tiny toddler and now she's a teenager and dating already."
Russell's husband (Brianna's other father) William shaved his beard and he used a bit too much shaving foam.

So odd you never enabled weather- I think it's the best part. The storm sounds, despite being more difficult to play, always quite therapeutic and relaxing for me. I turned off effects so they can't die by weather but would like to try it for more challenging game play with death turned off via cheats.
