I don't know how many can stack but the Delicate design is a two ring piece wore on two separate fingers. The Botantical is also a two ring set but wore on the same finger.

Today in Simmingals Gemology Adventures

Simmingal finally made matching ring to the simple silvers set she was creating

but then proceeded to forget the ring to Selvadorada upon leaving so she created another one *facepalm*

She took little trip to Chestnut Ridge to see if there might be some gold in Galloping Gulch for her new set
but turns out no, all she got from there was MySims figure, which was first MySims figure so far

The metal rocks not giving a thing was definitely skill thing though as they're giving some metals now
that is, if there were some... Galloping Gulch did not seem to have many rocks at all which was interesting.

after that failure simmingal figured that there probably was more collectibles in base game worlds
so she headed to Willow Creek

there were few rocks there even if digging rocks from other peoples backyards felt bit shady

but unfortunately I could not find any rocks in Sylvan Glade

besides this one lone dig spot resulting in another MySims figure

Thats it Simmingal said, time to go to Oasis Springs.

Oasis Springs seems to be so far the best spot for metals

and Simmingal did manage to find some gold too which was the goal for the day

2 golds to be precise!

Sun was really starting to creep on poor Simmingal being so excited with her digging but oh what do I see!

Someone has already opened Forgotten Grotto!

Simmingal rejoices!

(and hopes it is not a trap)

Ooh this is about to get so much easier isn't it

@Simmingal I love your story. But there does not seem to be a lot of cristals in the different worlds.

I normally buy the gems needed for jewelry crafting. Takes to long collecting them in the wild, besides if crafting a set of 4 matching items I would need to find 4 similar gems, which is next to impossible. I like that rare gems can not be bought (I have a cheat item allowing me to buy them though, but I won't). It makes rare crystal jewels very special and harder to get

If the pack allows my sim to purchase metals and crystals, then I have no problem doing so. Collecting everything multiple times is tedious. Luckily most of my sims are spellcasters who have learned the copy pasto spell.

I think I will try to complete the crystals collection once, I have never done this before. And then I'll set the rare crystals on sale in a retail shop.

@Atreya33 Get some crystal trees and get em to perfect quality. Then it is a matter of days, before your sim will complete the crystal collection, simply by harvesting those trees. For the aspiration, You need to gather 5 crystals or metals, but that's it.

I was able to almost complete the crystal collection doing 4 new games and having 3 crystal trees. Saving the found crystals to a retail store in each new game play but I couldn't find sapphire. So I used the cheats to get that crystal and then found out I could have bought it using the computer. Now I have all crystals and a lot of metals in a retail store with some jewelry saved to my gallery that I use in my new games.

This one is close to her jewelry and have copies of the ones she deopend on.

I think its going to be fine for normal gameplay
but the speed run edition is definitely slightly tedious
and I made it worse for myself to do it with thin skinned creepy walking (read=slow) vampire
mostly at night time when its hard to see the stones

I haven't really been doing collecting in the game
so I am just updating myself on spots where these rocks might be found
so I can later go in with my gemology sims and have some hunch where I should head

so far answer is : definitely not a temple
unless you need quick simoleons to continue crafting maybe then

I was really hoping Chestnut Ridge had some though
since it seemed like splendid idea to have sim horse riding about
and digging for metals and gems

I wonder if there is some to be received from that cave text adventure
but i didn't feel like doing it at the moment

Despite Simmingals high hopes

it turned out that Forgotten Grotto did not have that many stones after all

which was so tragic

that Simmingal decided it was time to create her first Crystal seed

and therefore, first Crystal Tree has been planted

even if it does not count for aspiration since it was not in planter? or not on home lot? unsure?
I also really wanted to put the crystal tree off lot at the very back of the cave

I mean wouldn't this be just the perfect spot for one?

but unfortunately that could not be done

then again I don't remember if it works with other plants in the game either
so yeah maybe it was too ambitious idea

Simmingal also started working on her new golden jewellery set

and created this necklace using emerald and gold she had found

Now while that charged (which luckily worked inside cave)

Simmingal decided to start doing the aspiration for a bit so she went to Newcrest
found randomized sim and gifted them her old basic necklace

Sim: Necklace? For me?

Simmingal: yes you looked most basic around here
Sim: what?

Okay Simmingal lets leave before this gets more awkward.

@Simmingal Love the pics of Simmingal's gemology adventures. If she builds up her rocket science, she can travel to planet Sixam, which has a lot of crystal spawners. I recently had a sim who was trying to complete the crystal collection. It went so much faster once she went to Sixam.

@Ziafar well one can still plant crystal tree on the lot that is inside the cave just not off lot like I wanted to

Just place the entrance from debug into your lot and there you go
