It is an attractive game. We'll see when it comes out. Ultimately all of these life sims are popping up because of increased interest in the concept. A lot of people around today grew up playing games so there is a big demand. This all creates more choice for players to make individual decisions and we don't all have to make the same ones. It will be interesting to see what comes out of all of this competition.
I think that the player base for these games features many different players who want to play in different ways. Sometimes we want to play differently from each other and sometimes we want to play differently from ourselves. I think there is enough demand for some or all of these games to make it at least for a while. Opinions on some games may also change as people actually play them but if anything, some players might jump between games and try different ones.
We'll see when they will come out, what they will cost, what their operational needs will be and if we individually want to play them. (I know LifeByYou is coming out in a few months and is making some improvements). They may tend to just increase interest in this gaming category though. I can't really say what I'll actually want to play down the road at this point but I'm not looking to dump what I'm currently playing either. I'd love it if this spurs some creativity from The Sims Team.
I hadn't heard of this one.
Vivaland is the first life simulation game built with multiplayer in mind from the ground up.
Every household in Vivaland is controlled by real players around the world!
To be fair there is not too much information.I posted their first trailer .I am glad were getting so many new life simulation games . Like Life by you,Paralives,Tiny Life and now Vivaland
I'm also glad there are a lot of new life simulation games coming out in the near future.
For me personally, I'm not interested in a multiplayer game. Multiplayer is a deal breaker for me.

I think it's optional multiplayer, or no different than PR/Sims 5.
Being a builder I was happy to try any new game, but it is not easy to build with.
Selecting any object to try to change colour or size is very hit and miss. And even allowing for the learning curve, I think it needs more work.
And it did crash while I was trying to build the house.
While the water looks great, some things are not. There are shelves and desks that you can't place things on, one desk will only hold laptops not full computers. I built two houses, and had to change both because I couldn't get the roof to look good.
It might be a lot better when they release it, but I don't think I will be buying it.
I just played it. Not a fan of the build tools shown. It was very finicky to use. Not as seamless as building in the Sims 2 and 3.
Moving the cursor to select the right point/corner on the right level (terrain, foundation height, wall height) was challenging. It kept missing what I wanted to do. I didn't like how you couldn't select the whole room to paint with a wall covering with the shift key. You also couldn't easily rotate objects by holding down the mouse click and moving the mouse in the direction of rotation before releasing the mouse.

Selecting something by right clicking was totally useless. I do realize they are a small team and will be changing things before release but at the moment it is not good.
They have mastered the curved wall. Why can't EA do that? I'm not starting over again. I will stick with Sims 4. With mods, my game is just where I need it to be. And, besides, who knows what's on the horizon for Sims4? I don't believe they're done.

I think because it's hard to put windows and doors on them.

Not very exciting. The path tool in the video is nice - it's like a controlled terrain paint of the Sims. Would be a nice feature for Rene.
Why would they mention occults. When the base game is not here?

I like the look. As Satch described, it reminds me of a combination of Sims 4 and LifeByYou. The water looks pretty good.
Map is small but nice.
