I have a save that is up to date. I just released the update for San Sequoia about 2 weeks ago. I have 2 versions (populated and unpopulated). I will let you be the judge if it's good or not.
I also keep seeing one being reviewed on YouTube that looks really good. I haven't tried it yet though. I think it's by Plumbob King (or something like that). Also, Fleuralia's save is really good.

Sorry, I just remembered this thread. It's in my signature as well. Thanks @LaBlue0314
I also have one that ist up to date for Growing Together. Its a 1-story save file with the main focus on gameplay functionality. https://www.seebee.de/sims4me/
It really depends in what you are looking for in a save file. I for one would never play in a save with massive lots - most people seem to love that, though. I wouldn't dare to judge mine - or even others, and label them as really good.
Now now EA, don't be stinking up our lovely lavender bath with your shopping fart. - My TS4 mods - Gallery ID: 83bienchen
You could try these Ultimate save file This one has some things in spanish you can change but it is fine otherwise. Base game 10 years later save has a fair amount of people for focusing on the base worlds.
Reddestiny921 on the gallery...still not sure if I capitalized the second d..lol
All the sims err'day
@83bienchen do you have your game save where its not as a rar please? I cant open it and is too cautious to download anything again since my laptop died on me and got revived by some small miracle
Depending on your play style, you may love Portsim by Florwalsims. It is a very realistic, gritty re-imagining of Willow Creek/Magnolia Promenade/Newcrest (all one southern city called Portsim). She's also actively working on other worlds and continously updating it. She recently released a version that also includes a run down LA version of Del Sol Valley.

Again, not for everyone but highly detailed, dense with lore, and actively being worked on:
