1890: Maarten van Cortlandt, heir to the Van Cortlandt Fortune, has become engaged to Miss Marien van der Berg, a young socialite from a small fortune.
1891: The Family have immigrated to the United States. Shortly after their immigration, Maarten and Marien married.
1891b: Marien is pregnant!

1901: Maarten has seen great success as a lawyer.
1902: Marien is pregnant!
1904: Marien had a brief flu, but recovered.
1906: Annaliese has started High School
1908: Annaliese has started gardening.
1909: Eleanor has started school.
1910: Annaliese has gotten engaged!
1911b: Annaliese is pregnant!
1912b: The Family took a vacation in England, and booked passage back to New York on the ill-fated Titanic. Maarten died when the ship sank.
1914b: WWI has broken out in Europe, but the USA has remained neutral.
1915: Annaliese gave birth to a stillborn daughter.
1917: America has joined in WWI. Frederick, being the only male old enough to fight, has been sent to do so.

@TeeSea I did! it has a few empty rooms because i built it unfurnished and used the family's furniture from the previous house, but it is very nice inside.
1927: Eleanor has gotten married to David Patton. She is also pregnant!
1929: The stock market has crashed, and the family lost a portion of their funds.
1932: Marien has passed away following a heart attack.
