I have learned that I have severely underestimated the amount of conversation plants need to thrive. Apparently you must talk to them every free second you have. This is why I don’t have plants.

Hm, makes me wonder if little Jamison, a Toddler at the time, knew this? He certainly spent lots of his backyard time talking to his father's garden. Specifically the Basil plant. It's all starting to make sense, now. The Child was obviously a planter in a past life. LOL

I will put a sink and a dishwasher in the kitchen for my sims to use, yet they still prefer to go to the bathroom sink to wash dishes. I guess I've just been doing it wrong

I've learnt that when I desperately need to use the bathroom, I should choose the toilet furthest away, even if it's three floors up and across the lot. It adds extra excitement to my day - the whole will I make it in time. Adrenalin junky, what can I say?

I've been doing it wrong: Getting dressed and going out for groceries when all I actually had to to was open fridge and ingredients already available.

Oh, thank you so much for my morning chuckle. That's right, they really do lay into the pans in this game. ROFL

The best part is that last, "is it dead? Make sure" swat. First time I saw that I had tears running down my cheeks I was laughing so hard. Not that the two handed overhead swings weren't hysterical.

And you are more than welcome for the chuckle. No day is off to a good start without a laugh, a hug, and a cup(or pot) of coffee. :)

Yes, once upon a time, I thought they 'fixed' this issue, yet it happens all the more in my game now than even before. :open_mouth: In my RL house I have a two sinks in the master bath. Which one to choose? LOL

Probably the one closer to the toilet just to make sure its your bathroom sink

though if they are same distance from the toilet then that might pose even bigger dilemma and you might have to simply leave your plates levitating in the air somewhere

Yeah and I mean why get dressed at all when you can go on a jog in your bunny slippers and bathrobe

Having a job to earn money. I should have realised all I needed to do was go on holiday to a South American rainforest, explore an ancient temple and discover lots of priceless artefacts.

While we're on the subject of cooking:

I never knew that if I walked up to a grill--whether it's my own grill, or one in a public place--I'd have everything I need to grill delicious meals from all over the world, including all necessary ingredients and the skill to do so.

It has always amazed me that the sims, in all 3 series, have these gigantic pockets, all over their bodies and be able to pull anything out of them...literally everything, statues, paintings, crystals, frogs in tiny aquariums, not to mentions bicycles, jet skiis, skiis and snowboards, no limit to endless pockets. I have to get bigger pockets!

I should tell you I have a BIG bathroom. One sink is closer to the bathroom door, the other one is closer to the toilet, however the toilet is set back behind a wall, kind of in a little alcove of sorts, if you can picture that. We're talking probably close to eight feet long from the bathroom door to the walk-in closet door. There is a double-size jet tub, with a separate shower on one end. It's a really cool bathroom, not to brag, but it's what sold the house.

Hey, what do you think inspired the jacket that can hold all manner of Tech devices? The idea had to come from somewhere. I'm just sayin'. I would like one of those back pockets, so long as it doesn't make my derriere look too big. LOL

Thank you for my morning chuckle this Sunday! I do find it incredible that my Sims would rather wait until it's quite urgent before they recognize what that sensation means! LOL (I've also, very sadly, won the Award for Bladder Failure, or whatever it's called because in my large builds there are usually anywhere from 3-5 bathrooms available.) What is up with these Sims? LOL

I realised I was doing the friendship thing all wrong. I thought i was supposed to talk to people and learn about them and their interests. But after watching my sim, I now just grab the person I am wanting to be friends with and snap off 5 photos on my phone, and we are besties for life.

I used to think that if someone invited me to their house, I was required to interact with them. But now I know that it's perfectly okay to just head straight into their bedroom and play games on their computer. This makes visiting people so much less stressful.

I've learned from my Sims that I've been eating meals wrong my whole life. I've been sitting at the kitchen table. You've just got to stand up and walk around with your plate and hug people who talk to you while you're eating. Thank you Sims.

Don't forget to sometimes take your plate and sit on the toilet while eating too. What goes in must come out, so it really saves a lot of time.

Hehe..😅 that's so unrealistic [quickly taking coffee, french toast, and phone out of the bathroom and settling down in the living room]😷

The morning multitasking is real, have to admit. And so convenient. If I'm gonna be there a while I don't want to let my French toast and coffee get cold!

To me it just adds realism. I know I'm not alone.

On the other hand, thank you Sims4 for showing me how conversation really works. Finding out that too much eye contact creeps people out, and that acting bored and keeping it to meaningless topics but then telling them to have a baby with their SO, turns out that's what people like after all. They totally don't edge away anymore now that I know better than to try to discuss something besides the weather and who they should sleep with. 😄

My daughter will turn 13 soon. That, of course, means she will age up to a Teen. My experience with The Sims teaches me that when she blows out the candles on her birthday cake, Z will leap up and twirl in the air, as a small cyclone whirls around her. When the cyclone fades away, she will have suddenly reached her adult height, and she'll be wearing a new outfit. At this point, Z will be precisely the same height as me, my wife, and every other person in the world who is at least 13 years old.

also luckily even if i get dropped on unhabited island there will surely be toilets and friendly conservation people on it

I've learned from my Sims not to fear death. I feel so comforted knowing that I will become a ghost and still be able to talk to everyone, touch everything, eat food, sleep in my bed, go to work ... actually not much will change really ... other than the floating around without legs and moving through walls. People will hardly notice. Coolest thing is that I will become a different color ghost depending on how I feel, like blue for sad, green for happy, pink for flirty, yellow for embarrassed, red for angry. I just hope that when it's my time, I die filled with magic, so I can become a bright purple ghost ... at least for a few days until I can gather enough ingredients to cook the ambrosia lasagna and come back to life after eating it.
