I like "prom dress" by mxmtoon on the Alternative station! Pretty sure it's base game. I listen to mxmtoon's music in English, and the Simlish "prom dress" sounds exactly like the English version.
Hey, I'm Milo (he/him)! I love The Sims 4, and I've been playing it since December of 2020. My Sims bestie and forums bestie is Gonnawin1111, aka V.
I don't know what the name is but I know it's a sims song. I believe it's from the Sims 1. It's played during different parts of the BBC/PBS show British Baking Show. My mom watches it and I know that song anywhere. I think it's the main theme from the base game.
I haven't played Sims 1 since our windows XP computer died back in 2009. I have the console version, but I don't play that one anymore either so I can't really say for sure if it's the theme from the base game. I never really paid attention to their names.
A close second would have to be the nursery song that the toddlers learn in sims 2? or was it sims 3? Does that count?
Besides that I don't listen to the simlish version of songs anymore. Not since I learned how to add my own songs into the game way back during the days of Sims 2.
Celebrating 11 years on this forum. Simming proudly since 2001.

Ever since I heard it in the trailer for TS3 Seasons, I absolutely loved it; and to this day I still do. Glad it made the jump to TS4 in the Sim Retro channel.

I know this song is from English song but I added this into the sims 4 custom music.
I’m still impressed whenever I watch this trailer with music.

This is my favorite sims 4 song. I thought it was definitely English pop song but I couldn’t find the English version. I added this into the Sims 3 custom music and my sims go slow dancing with this.

I thought this was definitely from 1970’s real disco song but I couldn’t find this in English. I discovered this in the sims 3 first time but I realized it was originally created since the sims1 and EA reuses this in the sims 3 and 4 karaoke song list.
I didn’t know about the sims before the sims 3 as I started the sims game from the sims 3. So I don’t know about the sims 1 and 2 songs but souds very good to hear some songs on this thread.

I thought so too when I heard it, it's very Sims like. But it's an original composed for the show. There are definitely other shows that use Sims music though, mainly from Sims 3. It always throws me completely off, like it doesn't belong there. lol.

Some of the themes that stick in my mind the most are Mark Mothersbaugh's from Sims 2.
This whole thread made me re-evaluate my Sims playlist. When I made it originally a lot of the music was hard to get if you didn't still have the games to extract it from or have cds to burn. And I'd never gotten around to expanding it, beyond adding the Sims 4 base game music that was available when I bought it.
I've spent the better part of my free time the last two days getting everything I didn't have and making sure artists, albums, and album art are correct.
I also really like Sister by K.flay (Realm of Magic pop radio) & was so happy when I discovered it's an actual song (always on the look out for decent new music).
My favorite has got to be the trailer song to the Ambitions ep, Need You Tonight by Lady Antebellum. I had to go out and buy the album, still is my favorite by them.
Edited so many times because I am a 🐸🐸🐸🐸.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.
I remember how I loved TS2 college rock songs such as Sway and Outsider because I liked that kind of music back then and they played on a radio when my favourite sims cuddled on a sofa in their dorm. Oh Bellamarie and her boyfriend whose name I don't remember anymore. Those songs give me a nostalgia trip
Anyway, I think my current favourites are the Vampires cas&buildbuy music and Makin' Magic music. I also like the pop song First Sorrow, Then Hope which one of my sims always sings and plays on a guitar. I found this beautiful duet of the song: https://youtube.com/watch?v=pxPv5X8mHYg[/url
It never fails to get the crowd at Roasted Toasted Beans up on their feet. It *may* also have inspired an impromptu family dance-off at my house, too...
