I've been staying with a family member and internet keeps going out all month. It's out now for the millionth time. The electricity also went out for a week. It's made getting this story done this month a nightmare. But I preserved and here it is: The Shadow King
I added a giveaway to my blog in hopes that it might generate some interest in the challenge .. fingers crossed
I actually thought about this. Maybe the winners of the challenge could win an EP/GP/SP of their choice, which could attract more people to join. Although this is out of your pocket and I wouldn't want people to join purely for the giveaways.
Thank you so much for organizing this! I'll have to get thinking on my August theme now.
I've also thought about the "prizes" idea and I'm not sure it's a great way to go. I sort of feel like people are either motivated or not to contribute. This is the kind of thing I think needs some self motivation, and to add a prize, (other than the banner) might attract the wrong sort of person, and once they complete their pack collection, they leave. That said though, maybe one month, once in a while, awards an SP or Kit might help promote and get more people interested and motivated to participate. A tough choice for sure.
It seems really quiet this month. I suspect that a combination of summer and things opening up and covid restlessness is playing a role. I'm so close, but I got tied up mostly in prepping for streaming and work has been stupid busy and I get so much done during work downtime so I miss that. Anyway, I may need an extra day. I'll message you Lisa
I have to skip this month. I have played very little and although I had an idea for a story I just had no passion to play/write it. Looking forward to read eveyone's submissions!
My story was ready yesterday, but I used the extension to edit it for the umpteenth time so it makes more sense. It's so hard when you write a lot and have to condense it to bare bones. Hope I succeeded. Here is my entry: The Bog Witch
Here's my entry for September All My Favourite Things Are Blue. I have to say this challenge was a valuable experience for me. I have screenshots from five IRL years from this couple and I've been meaning to tell their story for so long. The theme really helped me focus and I think I managed to keep it together.
Just checking in with all you last min folks (like me) to see if everyone is ok for time (would have done this earlier today but dang Covid is kicking my behind)
