Yes me too also an acrobat career would be cool or just the ability to own our own park. I think it could even add the option to make a water park too
GP is either fairies or horses.
> I think it maybe be something like sims 3 supernatural, including multiple new sim creature lifestates, like fairies, werewolves :)
I really doubt they'll dedicate an expansion pack only to Supernatural sims. So far they've done a pretty good job when it comes to adding them via GP, and I think they'll continue in that way. I hope they'll add fairies and werewolves soon though, I miss having werewolves the most. Having vampires feels incomplete because there are no werewolves IMO! I do think the next EP might be Generations related, because they've had more focus on children and toddlers. At least I hope so!
I agree I don't think there will be a supernatural expansion
If not, then personally I would like to see an expansion that didnโt come with a new world (Iโm already happy with the amount we have to be honestโฆ), so with no resources or budget required for that, we could get an expansion pack which is packed with content, gameplay and features that players are longing for.
Also, I am so sick of people asking for Generations. Not because Generations is bad, but because you know that the things in Generations are actually coming in multiple packs themed seperately. Generations pack has kind of already happened. That's not to say it's better than Generations, but if it happens slower they can get more packs out of it.
We've had Toddlers Update, we've had Discover University, we've had Parenthood. Now what we need is a proper Elderly pack, not just something small like Nifty Knitting.
So actually agree with this but I actually have no idea what the next expansion could be about so I put generations to kind of represent a pack with family gameplay. I can't even think of what the pack would be called or what the main theme would be but im thinking it could add some family gameplay ppl have been requesting but now that I think abt it I feel like a pack like that would be a game pack. But ye I actually have no idea what the next expansion will be about. There's some ideas from surveys but they seem to be more gamepacks than expansions
Complete speculation, but maybe a new world based around another culture that we don't have. I'd love a Korean city, Chinese world, Mediterranean world, so many new things they could do. A livable South American world would also be good though I don't have high hopes for that. Tie in some cultural stuff, new careers, new skills, make sure to include kid stuff and there you go.
It's going to be interesting to see what they do now most of the big requests are done.
Also I didn't play sims 3 (just 1, 2 & 4, skipped 3 entirely) but can someone explain to me why generations is an expansion and not a game pack? From what I've heard (elders get cains etc., more stuff for teens and kids around school and such, better weddings and funerals, etc.) I think it would be good as a game pack where you focus on game play with no new world needed like Parenthood does. Parenthood does gameplay really well, better than a lot of EPs.
but I don't think November ep
(well if we have one anyway but we usually do)
will be generations or hobbies
simply because of the similarity of themes
I don't think they really want to do similar themes in row (well unless there is kits, stuff or gp in the between that breaks the theme loop completely)
and as for supernatural eh... maybe but like it seems more possible theyd do smaller packs just like until now
but I could still see romance+ hotels + vacation theme pack though cause it doesn't seem super connected with cottage pack but also they did add crumplebottom and all...*false hope*
or I could see amusement parks+ showtime being made into some type of funtime ep with city style world for concert venues and amusement parks
ooor then i could see something completely unexpected and new

I think the one remaining EP-sized thing wanted by the majority of the vocal online community is Generations. (I say this because even in these more connected Internet Days, Sims Social Media/Forum community only represents a fraction of the actual player base, and I'm not convinced it's a representative sample.)
Everything else is either not in demand by a large portion of the community, can be better served by a GP, or could be broken up into multiple smaller packs (or even kits) that will make EA more money under the guise of allowing players to pick and choose (Arguably, this could be the fate of Generations too.)
A Generations pack would seem like the most likely move given how the Sims team seems to be listening to what the fans want. Plus, all the mentions of "nephews" (Patina in DHD) and "cousins" (A & A Crumplebottom in Cottage Living) in recent lore, making some Simmers speculate that extended family members could be coming to CAS. Seems like an update that would tie in nicely w/ a Generations EP.
I think if we do get one, it would make sense for it to be released at the end of the year (late November/late December) to fit in with the theme of the Holiday season + family. Plus, from a sales perspective, it makes sense to release it during the busiest commercial season & people take time off during the end of the year. Perfect conditions to maximize community excitement around a pack that's (arguably) the most requested amongst Sims fans.

I think the amount of new animations, CAS items, & interactable B/B items would necessitate a gamepack.
Parenthood GP was only about that: parenthood gameplay, between parents and kids. A Generations EP would have gameplay content for EVERY life stage that didn't relate to parenting.
Ex.:
Kids: playing tag/hopscotch/hide and seek, boarding schools, first crush, more playground equipment, kids' bikes/scooters/skateboards, more after-school activities (TS3 had ballet, karate, a more detailed scouting system, etc.), sleepovers, imaginary friends
Teens: prom, first date, graduation, boarding schools, pranks, more after-school activities (TS3 had art club, science club, dance club, drama club, debate club, school newspaper, shop class, sports club, study hall), learning to drive, throwing a party while parents are on vacation
Elders: arguably the sims w/ the least development across all iterations of The Sims franchise. But, in addition to the canes from TS3, some features that could come to a hypothetical Generations EP for TS4 include: retirement home/senior center lot type, bingo table, wheelchairs, casinos, "Reminisce About the Old Days" interaction, and Elders coming to school for "Career Day"
Also, a Day Care lot type and active career (again, like in TS3).
I guess I don't see why all of that can't be in a game pack. It sounds more like a game pack, with a focused theme that it expands gameplay for. It seems more similar in scope to Vampires or Parenthood than say Seasons or City Living. Especially as it wouldn't need a world necessarily.
More kids games and equipment would really be the only stuff for new animations. The clubs are rabbit hole, I expect prom and graduation would be too. Boarding school wouldn't need anything new either. Bingo would reuse existing animations too I bet. A few new lot types and new events would be nice too for elder home, day care & funeral. Some of those things like teaching to drive or wheelchairs won't come with it as we don't have cars and if they do disabilities it will be free.
Unless they did something like including active schools (so a bunch of those wouldn't be rabbit hole too), had a really big world with it (which they've said they won't do) or something extra, it just doesn't seem to have enough as an EP. Honestly it seems like this is the ideal game pack, very specific gameplay, no world or much bb is needed, can focus mostly on gameplay and animations. Prior to the past year, game packs have actually been better for gameplay than expansions. Maybe I just expect too much lol.
Ye it seems more like an expansion since it would have multiple aspects to focus on. A game pack would be taking one thing like, graduation and do a whole pack on it and only focus on that one thing.
