LOL. If a Sim stands in front of a mirror, you see their front side. If a Sim stands with their back to the mirror, you see their back side. While this is a reflection in the water, it's mostly like a mirror. So why can we see Erik's face reflected in the water when he's floating ON HIS BACK?
I Have to say it was only when I was grabbing pictures to share 'what happened in your game today, the non-serial version' that I noticed this weirdness. Erik has always enjoyed floating on his back as a way of winding down from the stress of his celebrity. I did a doubletake when I saw just what was going on in the screenshot.

I'm just answering the question(sorry if it's rhetorical).
This is normal for water. For us humans, our reflections would appear distorted and at an angle. EA did the best they could here, so it looks off with the reflection facing straight down. Also it's slightly misaligned due to refraction.

I'll see myself out of the thread now.
Yep, it's completely normal. Just google "water reflection face" or "water reflection floating on the back" too see more examples of it, or just "water reflection" for non human examples. It has to do with the angle you are observing the phenomenon, if you could submerge yourself in the mirror the way you can in the water you would have a similar effect.

Hey, you don't have to go. You gave a rather thoughtful explanation. Thanks for weighing in.
Thing is, this isn't the first time I've captured Sims floating on their backs. I will have to go through all my earlier pictures. But, I don't ever recall the reflection being, shall we say, so unusual?
I think it was possibly how you angled your camera on your original post, very strange and creepy though 😂 @GalacticGal
Yeah, it could be and the fact that it was later in the day, the sunlight may have played a role, too. Bet I can't duplicate it, even if I tried, though. The weird thing is I didn't notice it until I cropped the screenshot and saw the reflection.

Voldemort is the noseless vilian from Harry Potter, who famously like to grow out of the back of people's heads.

Literally the stuff of urban legend. It does look incredibly creepy. Perhaps the reflected head is whispering to him?
Perhaps he's trying to drown it lol @Kironide
LOL Wouldn't blame him!
Found them!
