Yes, I’d love weddings to be more interactive! Weddings don’t really feel like weddings in my game whenever I decide to do them. Being able to create a wedding party with bridesmaids and groomsmen would be a nice touch and I’d love to see a whole new range of items too like different arches or wedding cake options, cas items etc.
I just had a wedding in my game. Grossly disappointed. The groom has three brothers, so the two who are just younger than him but grown dressed in matching tuxedos, as the groom, making them appear to be part of the wedding party. Unfortunately, when the guest are in a different household, you can't control them. So I couldn't so much as have them take a particular seat, let alone have them stand beside their brother. I was also reminded about how much the Sims wander aimlessly even when the ceremony begins. Face/palm. I even had the Sims I could control take their designated seats, only to have them pop up and start walking around! It was most disconcerting. From now on, unless, or until the Devs can get a grip on this massive malfunction, I shall merely have my Sims 'elope.' I love a good wedding, too. Heavy sigh.

I don’t remember the last time I had a proper wedding set up because it’s so all over the place. The most you can do is hope the guests all gather at the wedding arch otherwise they just wander off 😂 I feel like weddings need more structure for that reason. Like perhaps a series of gameplay options that the guests all have to complete as a group e.g. watching the ceremony, participating in sit-down meals, group speeches and fun activities as part of a reception party etc.

I am actually very surprised that we do not have a wedding SP yet.
Veils, tiaras, updos, wedding dresses, bridesmaid's gowns, top hats, new suits for all ages, a selection of different wedding cakes (don't forget the two strawberry hearts for the people who do not like multi-level cakes) and a lot of decor items.
New gameplay objects:
"engagement table" - a table with different colored table cloth where you can perform a special interaction (engagement at the table) like we had in "The Sims 2 - Night Life".
"sparkling nectar bottle" - a bottle a Sim can use to toast (also useful for birthday parties).
I'd love to see a singing career in game, EA! You can't let the singing skill go to waste! My TS4 EPs: GTW, GT, CL, C&D, S, GF, IL, DU, EL, SE, CoL, HSY, GrT, HR, FR GPs: OR, SD, DO, V, P, JA, SV, RoM, DHD, MWS
What a great idea. I think that gives us a better chance of getting a Wedding SP for TS4. Sometimes I have the feeling SGGraham and SGNinja are the only ones listening to the fans.

Agreed. Its a shame that we're getting stuff packs for ugly over-priced clothing brands instead of content that adds to our game. A wedding stuff pack is still sorely needed..
Shame the community picked laundry/eco over a wedding stuff pack. Actually would have liked to see weddings expanded on, especially in including some extra things pertaining to cultures with certain customs too if they could. Most of my sims usually elope majority of the time, since weddings are a bit drab.
I never used to care about my sims' weddings but I'm starting to use them much more so it's possible I could use a pack like this. It would be great to have the option to create the full wedding party, including the best man, bridesmaids, officiant and father of the bride (or alternative). They could even put in a couple of different themes for wedding outfits. In Sims 3 we could officially have the stag and hen nights as well (bachelor/ette parties). It's certainly possible to do something similar in game now but the game doesn't recognise those as actual events.

I don't recall seeing a wedding pack during that time. But, I do believe I missed the first three votes, all the same.

Yes, we have Events built-in. I wouldn't think it too hard to add the pre-wedding customs. I would love to see a Bridal Shower added and since our Sims can now give gifts, it would be a matter of programming the gifts toward household items. Love your ideas.
Sorry, I am not interested in weddings at all. I hope they don't waste their resources on such princess plum and give us more adult gameplay instead.
That likely will not happen. EA doesn't wish to lose the Teen rating for the game. Besides, even at age 64, I love a good wedding. There are some mods out there if you really want to raise the rating in your own game …

Sorry that you aren't, but there are others that are.
There hasn't been any kind of update with weddings in the least and it can stand to be improved for sure. With more formal clothings for both gender and ages as well as maybe having some different customs for weddings. (Would like to hear a music piece when a sim plays the piano for the wedding march and maybe one on the keyboard for the giggles). That and a chance for sims to go on a honeymoon afterwards.
Not too sure what's so 'princess' about it. Not too sure what you mean by 'adult' as that could mean anything.
I would love this! I have not had a wedding in Sims yet, but am currently planning one for my two main Sims.
I'd love for a wedding pack to include things like (sorry if these have already been mentioned, I just skimmed the thread):
- engagement parties
- dresses and head pieces for the bride
- selecting duties for sims such as brides maids, best man, giving away the bride ect.
- speeches/toasts
- a harp and harp player
- honeymoons
- maybe a new career: "event planner" and wedding coordinator could be one of the ranks.
Not everyone enjoys weddings, as a player mentioned above. However, not everyone enjoys Vampires or having pets in their game, yet those packs were still made. Sims is so versatile and people play in many different ways, not everyone will like all packs, but I believe enough players would be interested in this pack to warrant it being made.
@Cest_si_Bon , there is a way to toast the couple, already. You just have to have a controllable Sim get a drink and it should show up in their menu. I really like your idea for a new career, seems to fit right in with the other artistic type careers we now have. Great ideas!
Not just weddings, I miss bachelorette and bachelor parties. Those were always fun in TS3. If a stuff pack every comes about wedding, I hope they add bachelor/bachelorette parties, and maybe a honeymoon option, if your sim wants to go on a honeymoon, you'll be able to follow them to their honeymoon location or they will just leave the house for a couple of days and maybe come home with a little "bun" in the oven.

It would have to be more like a GP, stuff packs usually only have one interactive item.
WOW
I am loving everyones Ideas, lots of insight and thoughts I echo them all!
I think a whole wedding themed pack would be awesome along with the romace emotion being expanded,
so to add to the ideas already mentioned, I would say special buildings ie a Church or unusual venues/themes
ie in a Deep mine/Cave, Scubadive wedding, Disney wedding, Barn wedding or on a Boat weddings, Haunted house . ..

They have done it before https://www.simtimes.de/diesims2/mini-addons/party-accessoires/ so I hope the team can do it again.
