I definitely agree, and I'm very sure that the Stuff Pack that's coming will be something to do with this since it's been requested so much and it's not too hard to do since they also have a Game Pack and an Expansion Pack on the way.
I'd love to have a wedding stuff pack even though I'm lucky as it seems: my caterer always shows up and prepares cake for the wedding (but that might be due to one or two mods). The dancing guests watching the ceremony are a real nightmare though. I think that bug came with Get Famous or shortly after.

_veils and tiaras and flower circlets would be nice
_bouquets and throw the bouquet options
-call the guests to sit (I agree @YankeesForever this is sorely needed - call the guests to meal works)
-SLOW DANCING SLOW DANCING SLOW DANCING - this if nothing else - dancing is so impersonal at present
- carry the bride over the threshold would be lovely especially as if you play a female sim you miss out on the jump in his arms interaction on your proposal. And maybe the married couple could earn spooning as a sleep interaction
- goals for the event that let your precook food or use a banquet table etc so you don't have to rely on NPCs to do their job.
- non christian/ multicultural options when my sim marries a sim with an obvious Indian or Asian surname I would like to have the option to incorporate some cultural elements in the ceremony for more realism . And not everyone who plays is a middle class anglo christian american.
- bridesmaids/flowergirls/groomsmen etc all walking down the aisle too
- engagement parties / wedding showers with gifts from other sims - real wedding gifts for that matter (isnt this half the point of a wedding instead of eloping)
- wedding speeches (would be so cute in Simlish)
- drama options - object now interaction when attending another wedding or seduce bride / groom (not available to NPCs so as not to disturb peoples gameplay)
- all options be available to same sex couples and roles at the wedding eg throw bouquet/ be best man etc be gender neutral

Yes, the Best Man and both fathers should have a chance to 'give a speech' if not a toast to the newlyweds. I totally agree with the SLOW DANCE. A nice menu to select the style of wedding would be greatly appreciated. This game has gone International, after all. We should be able to choose the clothing that would be appropriate for the cultural weddings, too.
I would fully expect since same gender marriages are already allowed, that it should go without saying the options in the wedding should be available to all couples.
I like the option to Object (to this wedding) being included. This would round out the whole wedding thing. You've got some really thoughtful suggestions here.
Weddings in the Sims 4 are dubious at best. Most of the time, if you're really lucky, the invited guests will arrive. Sometimes, even the hired help arrives. Upon occasion the mixologist will actually perform their function at said wedding.
Rarely, if ever, will the guests take a seat and watch the ceremony, even when seating has been amply supplied.
We have very few wedding dress styles from which to choose. I would love to see this amended by a Wedding Stuff Pack, chock full of flowers table decorations and all the things that go into a beautiful wedding and reception.

Yes weddings need a major overhaul. I'd like to be able to choose floral arrangements, select what meals/drinks are to be served, choose a maid of honor/best man, choose from different rings, dresses and cakes. Be able to send like save the dates in the mail. Oh and slow dancing needs to return too.
As does the Romance System. The romantic system in TS4 needs a major overhaul.
I would really love this. A pack that you can have Bridal gowns, bridesmaides dresses, Tuxedoes & kilts, plan a wedding, register for gifts and throw the wedding. Better Romance in TS4 would be great as well.
I fixed the dancing wedding guests. Well, actually kind of fixed them as it turned out they were actually a design choice called impatient wedding guest. So I'm not sure if it's legitimate to call it a fix. Oh my.
I would also like a wedding stuff pack, more selection of dresses and venues. It would also be nice to have stag and hen nights and be able to choose a best man and bridesmaids. A maybe a honeymoon destination.
I rather have a game pack so we don't just get new cas items but more interactions (such a slow dancing) and the option to go on a honeymoon. Certain sims might be bride or groomzillas that throw fits if something goes wrong. As well events for wedding showers and bachelor parties.
If they made a wedding stuff pack my only suggestion since everyone pretty much said everything already would be hire a violinist to play at the wedding as I feel it would make it feel more real and alive.
Sims 4 went from "You Rule" to "One of the stories we want you to tell"
Yes, I’d love weddings to be more interactive! Weddings don’t really feel like weddings in my game whenever I decide to do them. Being able to create a wedding party with bridesmaids and groomsmen would be a nice touch and I’d love to see a whole new range of items too like different arches or wedding cake options, cas items etc.
