I hope this story isn't too long. This song was playing every hour or more when 3 friends and I went to Florida for spring break. At the time, I heard the song so often, I actually got sick of it. Now I rarely hear it lol, but when I do, it brings back awesome memories of that spring break roadtrip. One of the great things about music, it serves as a reminder for our memories.
In the late 90's (forget exactly what year now), I was retired and had the ability to attend a concert almost every weekend during that wonderful summer. Of all the concerts that I attended, the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert was my favorite. The stage was dark until the drummer came out. Still no stage lights, but his drums lit up when he began to jam on the drums. Another band member would come out and start jamming with him, and then another, and so on until the lead singer came out. The lights came on and the jam with awesome music continued. When they came out for their encore, they played about a 15 minute rendition of freebird (my favorite song) which brought the house down. In honor of putting on such an awesome concert, I submit:
Sorry, I know I submit this song a lot, but I just gotta do it!
Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
As many times as you like (I'd rather sat Free Fallin' but that's your opinion)
Free Bird's one of a kind, isn't it?
Gypsy Road - Cinderella
Despite being a hard rock song, it keeps reminding of Coutry Road instead. It could be the "🐸🐸🐸🐸 raod, can take me home" line.
As usual, I listen on Spotify.
In my summer of concerts, I had the priviledge of attending a Stones concert at the University of Virginia football stadium. They put on a really good show and, of course, the music really rocked. Unfortunately, no adult beverages allowed anymore at college venue's in the U.S. Just seems sacrelegious to not be able to party at a concert.
Love all the anecdotes I was at university early 70s... so when it comes to music and bands, I have a few but I'm not sure they'd be appropriate for here...
@aldavor Ya, I've omitted some stories to keep it "G" rated as well.
A friend in college who had a really good stereo system turned me on to Pink Floyd. I forget now which song it was, I wanna say "Dark Side of the Moon", but the music would start in one corner of the room and sound like it was traveling across the room to the other corner. I was never able to attend any of their concerts, but I did go to a tribute night at a bar where they played Pink Floyd music all night accompanied with a nice light show with pictures shown on a large screen.
I remember the Eagles were playing a concert at the Colleseum in Hampton Roads, VA, but I had a pretty busy life at the time and told myself I'd make it next time around. I've always regretted that decision as I never had the opportunity to make one of their concerts again.

One Of These Nights - Eagles
Then, I regret to not see one at all yours' good enough I would say.
I saw Pink Floyd twice in 1972; both times in North London where I misspent my youth (first at Finsbury Park then at Wembley Arena), when they did the 'Dark Side of the Moon' concert - still their best album I believe.
