@gmcrozier your build is so beautiful! The decoration is lovely and the flowers everywhere are gorgeous. Love the colour scheme! Great job!
@Designasim love the story to this one. Beautiful layout and I love that you've packed so much into a small room but it doesn't feel claustrophobic. That's talent!
@JosieAnglin wow wow wow! There's so much to look at! I love the flowers and books piled anywhere and everywhere, this has a really cozy and lived-in feel to it. The colours all compliment each other and the soft lighting is perfect to read by. Amazing!
@MACDesign I looooove that corner sofa, such a fun design! This entire room is just so clean and just screams perfectionist, it's so elegant and sophisticated. The soft greens against the stark white are very complimentary. Gorgeous!
@chips46 this is so well done. I love that you've made a real personality and lifestyle for Lilian and created a room that perfectly reflects that. The colours are just WOW and the layout has a really great flow to it. Stunning!
@ZKirian this is so beautiful! The candles on the bannister are awesome, they add a lovely soft light to the room. I love the pop of vivid green on the walls, and all the flowers everywhere are beautiful. I like the story too! Beautifully done!
@lsnishi I love how soft this room is! The pastel colours stand out nicely against the white wood and you've decorated this room beautifully. I never liked those chairs but you've changed my mind! The flowers are gorgeous and the tall windows are a really nice touch. Gorgeous!
@luckyheather I like this Strangerville themed autumn room - nice touch! I love the idea that even in an apocalyptic future people are still decorating their homes to remind them of the lost seasons - what a unique take on this challenge! Absolutely awesome.
@emere this is so pretty! Super lovely use of the different floors and wall coverings, and the decoration is beautiful with all the flowers and lady bugs. Great job!
@Fizzstix you're right - this room was too beautiful not to post! I love the pops of yellow against the more neutral browns, it adds a lot of visual interest. Lovely!
Thank you to @rosemow, @SheriGR and @Walrus2096 for your lovely comments! (I'm sorry if I've not spotted if someone else has commented about my room, but just know that you're greatly appreciated!
@coolsim9999999 this is awesome! Super interesting room shape that fits perfectly with the strangeness of Strangerville. The decoration really makes me believe that your sim wants to figure out the mystery, so you've definitely done a really great job here! Amazing!
Thank you for taking the time to do those wonderful comments @ArrowBuilds ! Loved your room with the soft pastels and the way you made it look like built in shelves and desks; very unique and charming!
Back Story:
Fiona loves a good mystery and often tells people that adventure is her middle name. That's why she set out for Strangerville. But when she got there, she found the place so strange that she needed a bedroom hideaway that nobody could see into or out of. She made sure to have all the comforts so she could hear any news reports, plus a place to hide if things get too weird. She made sure to make the place seem as unhabitable as possible, just in case anyone should break in. Now, if she could only get rid of whatever that thing is growing on the floor and wall, she could sleep at night.
The background details that you have written for Bedroom in Strangerville are great! @jeswainston65 Very nice design and furnishing of the bedroom! The strange purple growing on the wall and floor looks scary and great! The wall texture looks great and suits the world well! It looks very nice the way you have layered the floor rugs in the middle of the room. Very nice corner bed area! It looks great the way the bed is angled into the corner and the half walls separate off the area. Fiona will enjoy sitting resting on the armchair reading a book. The new wall clock picture looks great in the room! She will enjoy watching tv and listening to radio music on the music player. It is a great touch that the tub of plants is in the room! It and the fruit crate add a great look to the room. The type of wall lights used are very nice and it is great that window shades are used so that no one can see in! Very creative design of the corners using the ledges!
It is a great bedroom for Strangerville ! Thankyou very much for entering this week’s challenge
Hello @jeswainston65
Just a little note. The hashtag is not right that you used for your challenge room. You may like to perhaps repost it so that the room appears with the other entry rooms?

I'm glad you like it Rose...and I will fix the hashtag and repost it correctly...
@jeswainston65 This room is so cool! I like how you combined the two rugs. It's clearly a bedroom inspired by Strangerville so that's definitely a plus! Great decorating and layout, are you enjoying the new Build/Buy items from the game pack? You use them so well! Great job!
I'm just about to try uploading my pictures for my room to Flickr and see if that site works for me. In the meantime here's my twitter post:
I wonder if this will work...
Name of room: Selvadorado Bedroom
Gallery ID: ArrowBuilds
Theme for the week: Create a bedroom for Fiona inspired by either Strangerville, Selvadorado or Granite Falls.
My entry this week is a Selvadoradian inspired bedroom. Fiona has studied the culture of Selvadorado her whole life has has furnished her room to reflect her dream destination. She's collected a couple of artifacts from Selvadorado online and displays them proudly on her desk. She lights her room with fairy lights and candles, and nurtures many potted plants to make her feel more as one with nature. Please enjoy these screenshots (if I've done it right haha!). ♥
@ArrowBuilds ... thank you .. I love the new quirky and creepy build items ... and I discovered we can layer rugs, if you do it in the right order. I also discovered some cool build quirks by watching a couple of videos. Did you know if you turn off automatic placement for the counters that you have way more options? It's amazing. I just wish I could layer a few of the wall items too.
I love your Selvadoradan bedroom...so beautiful....very soothing and relaxing. I would stay there lol. I like how you placed the lights. Great room.
@ArrowBuilds Lovely bedroom! It looks so cozy and charming. I LOVE the color scheme. You've managed to use a ton of cheerful colors in this room, but it still feels soft and warm. Beautiful work
Selvadorado Bedroom is very calming and restful! @ArrowBuilds The brown stone brick textured walls give a very nice look and feel to the room and the string lights are very pretty on them! The world map on the wall, reflecting that she would like to travel there, is a nice touch. It looks very nice the way that the bed is angled into the corner nook. The flower cart, candles and flowers at the foot of the bed, and the plants on the bedside fruit crate and in the bedhead nook look very nice! The patterned floor rugs add a nice look to the room. Very nice corner study desk nook! Fiona will enjoy sitting there using the computer, and the Selvadorado items look great on the desk. Very nice wall paintingThe plants and candles near the door are very nice restful nature touches for her to look at. The patterned closet, vase and armchairs are very nice! The orange flowers picture is a very nice warming touch. She will enjoy sitting resting on the chairs.
The plants, flowers and candles through the room are very nice nature touches ! It is a lovely Selvadoran themed bedroom! Thankyou very much for entering this week’s challenge !
Thank You for your comments @ArrowBuilds and for your lovely Selvadorado Bedroom I like how you use the wall lights I can never use them it feels like I get them all tangled up I gave up using those lights
Going to skip this week @rosemow. Hardly getting myself out of bed tired 24/7 atm.
