I'm wondering. Did you mean that its a corner piece or that its an end piece? Because if its a corner, it makes sense that it should do that as its making room for the counter to go 'round the corner. Have you tried the end piece in that spot? It gives the corner cabinet look without the hookup for the next cabinet on back.
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.
Whenever I create an island like this, I use the traditional island pieces versus the corner sections. So, instead of having a corner island against the wall, you can place three normal island pieces in a row with one side connecting to the wall and the other connecting to the traditional counters along the adjacent wall.
I hope that makes sense... Hopefully it helps, too.

I don't get what you mean. My point of frustration is that the corner piece (which I now switched it with an island piece) has a longer surface

Right. I just misunderstood which piece you meant. Looking at the picture, I thought you were saying you'd used a corner piece at the end which caused the longer surface. I see now that I misread your post then misinterpreted what I was seeing in the pictures. Sorry

Does it work now?
WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?
I was going for something like this:
Thing is, it works with other counters except for this one. It always points out.

Used islands as corner pieces, but it still looks weird.
Other counters:
This cursed counter:

But it doesn't make sense that some counters work fine while the others don't as shown in my latest comment.
