Hello. If a sim dies while part of an inactive household (and you were controlling them a lot, just not at the time of death) can you find their "tombstone" or "urn" on the home lot they were living in? I want to be able to get urns / tombstones onto the same lot no matter which one they "die" on. Thank you in advance for any help.
Last I heard you cannot get an urn/tombstone unless the person is in the active household the exact moment of death. Thanks for any updates!

To answer your question, no. They have not added graveyards or a mausoleum. One has to do that themselves.

So unless you have made your own graveyard and managed to keep the urns as sims die, you won't be able to save them unfortunately.
It'd probably be kind of cumbersome if you had a LOT of ghost Sims in your game, if you had to find just the one you wanted in a long list of Sims, I suppose...
@GalacticGal OMGosh that's amazing! Why didn't I think of adding a workhouse before! Right that's it workhouse, and asylum in Windenberg in what will be my misery save muhahahaha! Thank you so much for the inspiration
LOL, glad I could 'help'. Sadly, I had a few ancestors that ended up in Work houses. She was an unwed mother, 'wrong side of the blanket', as it was said, back then. He's my third great-grandfather, but managed to do okay in the long run, despite being raised in said work house. Yikes. Makes me understand the story of Scrooge so much more clearly in the end.

The ancestors that I wrote of were living in England, too. Also, since I do have the written version of Charles Dicken's 'A Christmas Carol', I can say that just about every film rendition I've seen remain very true to the original work. Nobody can improve on such a great story.

Most of the time you can find it on their home lot. But there's not any trick way to figure out where it is, you just have to go looking, and there's no cheat to get it if you can't find it.

In my experience, I found three tombstones on a park lot in the snow (the Sims froze to death). I had visited the park a couple times but did not witness the deaths of the Sims (I think that if they had died while I was there, the camera would have panned to them). So to my knowledge, Sims' tombstones spawn where they died (even if you weren't there). Hope this is helpful!!

[To be fair, I play with aging on for nonplayed households, but only active household for played sims, so there are a lot of nonplayed sims dying during the lifetimes of the sims I actually play, since I switch between different branches of my main family.]
I do wish that there were a way to find the urns of unplayed sims, or at least those of unplayed sims within my favorited households. When I lose interest in particular moved-out family members, I set those households as unplayed, but keep them in my favorited households, so they can go about their sim lives (with the help of MCCC.) I'd really like to be able to keep those graves on the ancestral lot.
