Rowan had really taken to painting, it was one of the very few things that made him a bit happy, he had completed about 15 paintings. Remarkably Rosie was becoming a bit nicer, she brought Rowan new canvas to paint on and some new paints (Julia had told Rosie she should take up a hobby so Rosie picked painting specifically so she could get supplies for Rowan). she also started leaving him more food, a jar of cookie and a basket of apples showed up in his room while he was sleeping.
Rowan had no idea why she was being marginally nicer but decided to not question it. She visited on Friday evening, she was actually trying to chat with the mute boy, he still was not talking to her.
She tried to get him to talk...
"Rowan you better start talking to me or I'm not going to bring you anymore food or canvas!!" she threatened..
"Okay Rosie...I'll talk."
Just then Rosie heard her mom calling her...she sounded like she was right outside the door, the door that Rosie forgot to lock..
"Oh crud Rowan...that's my mom! Quick change into your doll form and get in the bathroom and don't make a peep!!"
"Okay Rosie.." he whispered, then went quickly to the bathroom.
Rosie didn't trust him to not change into his human form while his mom was around, how would she explain a child living in the attic...
Just as the bathroom door clicked shut Julia came into the attic...
"Why are you up here young lady?"
"It's my secret art studio mom...do you like it?"
"It's okay but what's with all the creepy paintings?"
"I like them...they're interesting"
"Mom, why were you kissing Jasper's uncle the other night down at the beach?" Rosie asked trying to change the subject..
"Because I like him...wait, you saw that?" was all she could think to say....when had her daughter gotten so chatty anyways..
"Yes, Jasper and I both saw you..."
Julia was getting uncomfortable, if Rosie and Jasper had seen them who else could have seen them, or Jasper could have told his father, or goodness knows what else..she has to call Jared.
'I gotta remember to lock the door' Rosie thought to herself...
"Rowan you can come out now, it's safe"
With that Rosie left the attic and made sure the door was locked behind her..
Detectives Parker Langerak, Miraj Alvi and Ethan Bunch were having a relatively quiet day at their new post - they had just taken out an unmarked to go get some lunch, the radio calls were generally benign. They had been transfered to the RCMP station at Cape Garner Island a few weeks ago and had just started to fit in. Other than the few general calls of domestics, there really wasn't much in the way of serious incidents. That was until a call came in that made their blood run cold. "Delta-Six Two, we have a 10-01, confirmed 10-69. Request you 10-18 and secure the scene until we get a 10-16 to the site."
Det. Bunch picked up the mike. "Delta Six Two, 10-4."
When they came upon the scene, Det. Langerak's heart fell. It was a well-known Bugatti that had smashed into a redwood and a porch, the driver's side was caved in quite severely and there was just as much damage on the passenger side. "Holy...s-" he cut off an epithet in mid-breath. "It doesn't look as though he had a chance to brake. Then his heart leapt into his mouth. It was well-apparent that the driver had expired, "Oh...God..." he whispered as he peered in the passenger side. "Oh...no..." "This is bad..." said Det. Alvi. "I'm going to radio dispatch, and tell them to send a meat-wagon for the driver." It was apparent that he couldn't do anything for the driver, the lividity of the flesh pretty much indicated time of death.
Parker had worked enough vehicular accidents to know just exactly what a high-speed impact with a tree could do to the human body. He'd seen enough people draw their last breaths on scene. Knowing that the potential for a gas explosion from the vehicle was possible, he and Ethan worked to pull the driver and his apparent spouse from the wreckage of the Bugatti Chiron, the risk of explosion outweighed the risk of further injury from moving the vehicle occupants. The driver's spouse was still breathing and Parker realized that it was his classmate, River... "oh...dear god...", he mouthed. The fact that her chest pushed in...and there was little resistance meant that her ribs were shattered. And it was more than likely that she had severe internal injuries. Her breathing was shallow...and her pulse rate was erratic. "Stay with me, River...you're going to be all right..." Parker demanded.
She coughed weakly, "...Parker...no...brakes..." she managed to get out... "He pumped...brake...pedal...no...brakes."
Parker's blood ran cold. This wasn't a regular vehicle accident, this was murder. It could only mean one thing..."Your brake-line was cut?" he asked. River's eyelids fluttered, she was fading... "Dam it!!! River...stay with me...please...Stay with me..." "Har-u-o..." River weakly whispered..."My...husb-"
Parker had a lump in his throat a mile wide. Det. Bunch checked on Haruo's pulse. He shook his head at Miraj. "No pulse...He's gone..." Parker knew that his attempts to make River stay with him were in naught...her pulse was fading and she was shivering. "My...Hus..band..." her voice was just a whisper.
Parker's eyes spilled over as he tried to get his voice out through the enormous logjam in his throat, "I'm sorry...River...I'm...so sorry..." he whispered to her. "He's gone...but you're still here...you need to live...for your kids..." he tried to give her something to hold on to. She coughed weakly again...her breath watery, "Kids...grown...I'm going...with...Haru..."
"No...River...no...Please..." There was still a part of Parker that loved River and he was devastated, "No...you can't..."
"My...husb..." She went limp in his arms...coughing out blood...as the life left her. "No...RIVER!!!!" Parker wouldn't let her go; he held her tight to him, cleaning off the corner of her mouth of blood, all the while whispering: "no...River...no...no..." was all that he could repeat. Det. Bunch had a sour look on his face, "I want the son of a you-know-what...I'm going to take who ever it is down. It has all the makings of a hit and I want the guy who did this. Whoever did this is going to pay dearly." Det. Alvi nodded, "I'll get on it with dispatch and open up an investigation." Det. Alvi hoped that whoever it was would turn themselves in for their own sake. It would be better that way, because it appeared as though Det. Bunch was out for blood.

Bryce(crying): no...no don't, please...I'll leave, I swear...Have mercy.
King William: I, William, king of Praaven, defender of the Kingdom, sentence you, Bryce to death.
Bryce:(Whining) I'm sorry...sorry.
Claire: Wait, You're Majesty, aren't you being judgmental? Stocks, dungeon, locked up in the square.But death is a little harsh?
King William: Claire, stay out of this.This isn't your concern.I'm king.
Claire: But I don't like the idea of killing someone.
King William: I said enough Claire!
Bryce:(sniffles): Sarah will have her revenge.
And with that, Bryce was done.
King William: That's one problem gone.Claire, Where are you going?
Claire: Home....back to my farm.
King William: What?
Claire: You couldn't have spared his life? Lock him up? Give him a chance?
King William: He had his chance, Claire.He threatened you, me and my Kingdom more times than I can count.
What I did was justified.I take no pleasure in ending a life, but it had to be done.
Claire: Sure you didn't.
King William: Claire, come back here.
Claire: No.
And with that she rode off.

@all you all have wonderful updates and great for inspiration. It's a rainy Monday. I'm off work (yay!) I've done a whole lot of nothing today and that is just fine with me. I'm thinking of jumping into one of my many saves for the rest of the day.

I can't remember which save I played Friday. I either forgot to take a pic, or it didn't upload properly. I think I was with the Shields'. I'll have to check my screenshot cache to see if I didn't upload one. I think I was with them, because I remember that I forgot ghosts can't become partners in businesses and had to send Marcus to invest in everything.
Saturday was my cousin's wife's baby shower (she's only gaining weight in her stomach and a little in her ankles and looks amazing), and that lasted most of the afternoon. After getting the shopping done we got home late, and then I went to Venom at 7:30, so I didn't get any playing done because by the time I got home, it was time to get ready for bed.
Last night I was with the Drakes. I aged up Eden to child because baby Frankie was born (I literally blanked on F names for boys and that was the only thing I could think of). I tried to put a bunk bed in Dinah's room, but was having pointer issues again, and just ended up putting another single bed against one of the walls for Eden. I had to punish a peeping tom by starving him do death, but he either didn't die or his headstone vanished off the property, because when I moved the shrubs he was in, I couldn't find it. I have a pic of Jonah with Frankie, who I think is a little on the red side to be an exact match for Claire.
Will probably work on the Rec Center tonight since I didn't get a chance to over the weekend, and I think it's the next save in line.
@MoonandStars83 I'm too much of a fangril for my own good. It has to do with a townie baby randomly named after a character from one of my fandoms. I regretted so much that I didn't name my sims' baby after the other character in the ship, I uninstalled Sims 3 altogether.
@MoonandStars83 It is Jared Frio one of Charlottesmoms two favorite male premades.I actually put them in houses all my towns I have a couple versions I switch between.Have Just Jared and Conner,have Jared Conner and Naima Hakim the dead girl from Al Simhara,and another with Jared Conner and 2 hottie premades one is Laticia the pizza delivery girl from Sunlit Tides and other is Tammie Opali from Isla Paradiso no set relation I let the game decide who hooks up with who while they live together.

Saw your comment about the hurricane. I do hope you are not in the direct path. I live in FL. Northeastern area so we are kinda out of the main cone right now based on the last reports. Still forecasting lots of rain and wind. Hope the cone doesn't change and hoping Hurricane Michael doesn't get up to speed I keep the National hurricane center bookmarked and check frequently. Hubby's dialysis nurse has already called and wants to order more stuff in case the power goes out. I'm like we can't run machine with power out...why have more stuff? I just have to find a place to put it! hehe

Even I'm suspicious still. It's a miracle that Julia hasn't looked in the attic before now. Julia wouldn't have expected spectators when she kissed Jared. I wonder how she will react to Connor knowing. I love where this is going! @Nikkei_Simmer I'm still in shock that you would kill of Haruo and River. I guess no one is safe in your game. It reminds me of a fatal car accident that happened here a few days ago. A lady was speeding obscenely and crashed so badly that it no longer resembled a car. I sure hope Haruo wasn't speeding, but that's kinda what happens when people get crazy expensive cars . Wait so it wasn't speeding and someone cut the brake line. Well this is heartbreaking.. aww
That was a beautiful speech. The flashbacks were a lovely touch. I'm a little tickled that one of the people sitting down is wearing a beekeeper's hat . Maybe Haruo was part of a bee society. The poses are awesome, it really looks like Brianna is crying over her dad. @Springfairy556 I've been loving all the updates. That spot that William took Claire to court her was so beautiful. I'm worried about Bryce though, and a little confused on why he would want Claire to be his queen. I love all the cheeky flirting between Lady and Wildfire too haha. Ooh speaking of, Bryce is bold for challenging William to a sword fight. Haha he made him cry! Omg so he's dead now . Was Bryce really so weak at sword fighting or is this all part of his plan... @MoonandStars83 Congratulations to your wife's cousin. I'm on the fence about seeing Venom as I've read bad reviews, what did you think of it? I think F names are hard to think of for both genders. I like Frankie though. Maybe the peeping tom's headstone got moved to the mausoleum. @Simtown15 Sorry to hear that you uninstalled TS3. I hope you have fun with whatever game you play next.

Rowan had really taken to painting, it was one of the very few things that made him a bit happy, he had completed about 15 paintings. Remarkably Rosie was becoming a bit nicer, she brought Rowan new canvas to paint on and some new paints (Julia had told Rosie she should take up a hobby so Rosie picked painting specifically so she could get supplies for Rowan). she also started leaving him more food, a jar of cookie and a basket of apples showed up in his room while he was sleeping.
Rowan had no idea why she was being marginally nicer but decided to not question it. She visited on Friday evening, she was actually trying to chat with the mute boy, he still was not talking to her.
She tried to get him to talk...
"Rowan you better start talking to me or I'm not going to bring you anymore food or canvas!!" she threatened..
"Okay Rosie...I'll talk."
Just then Rosie heard her mom calling her...she sounded like she was right outside the door, the door that Rosie forgot to lock..
"Oh crud Rowan...that's my mom! Quick change into your doll form and get in the bathroom and don't make a peep!!"
"Okay Rosie.." he whispered, then went quickly to the bathroom.
Rosie didn't trust him to not change into his human form while his mom was around, how would she explain a child living in the attic...
Just as the bathroom door clicked shut Julia came into the attic...
"Why are you up here young lady?"
"It's my secret art studio mom...do you like it?"
"It's okay but what's with all the creepy paintings?"
"I like them...they're interesting"
"Mom, why were you kissing Jasper's uncle the other night down at the beach?" Rosie asked trying to change the subject..
"Because I like him...wait, you saw that?" was all she could think to say....when had her daughter gotten so chatty anyways..
"Yes, Jasper and I both saw you..."
Julia was getting uncomfortable, if Rosie and Jasper had seen them who else could have seen them, or Jasper could have told his father, or goodness knows what else..she has to call Jared.
'I gotta remember to lock the door' Rosie thought to herself...
"Rowan you can come out now, it's safe"
With that Rosie left the attic and made sure the door was locked behind her..

The Good Die Before Their Time
Detectives Parker Langerak, Miraj Alvi and Ethan Bunch were having a relatively quiet day at their new post - they had just taken out an unmarked to go get some lunch, the radio calls were generally benign. They had been transfered to the RCMP station at Cape Garner Island a few weeks ago and had just started to fit in. Other than the few general calls of domestics, there really wasn't much in the way of serious incidents. That was until a call came in that made their blood run cold. "Delta-Six Two, we have a 10-01, confirmed 10-69. Request you 10-18 and secure the scene until we get a 10-16 to the site."
Det. Bunch picked up the mike. "Delta Six Two, 10-4."
When they came upon the scene, Det. Langerak's heart fell. It was a well-known Bugatti that had smashed into a redwood and a porch, the driver's side was caved in quite severely and there was just as much damage on the passenger side. "Holy...s-" he cut off an epithet in mid-breath. "It doesn't look as though he had a chance to brake. Then his heart leapt into his mouth. It was well-apparent that the driver had expired, "Oh...God..." he whispered as he peered in the passenger side. "Oh...no..."
Parker had worked enough vehicular accidents to know just exactly what a high-speed impact with a tree could do to the human body. He'd seen enough people draw their last breaths on scene. Knowing that the potential for a gas explosion from the vehicle was possible, he and Ethan worked to pull the driver and his apparent spouse from the wreckage of the Bugatti Chiron, the risk of explosion outweighed the risk of further injury from moving the vehicle occupants. The driver's spouse was still breathing and Parker realized that it was his classmate, River... "oh...dear god...", he mouthed. The fact that her chest pushed in...and there was little resistance meant that her ribs were shattered. And it was more than likely that she had severe internal injuries. Her breathing was shallow...and her pulse rate was erratic.
She coughed weakly, "...Parker...no...brakes..." she managed to get out... "He pumped...brake...pedal...no...brakes."
Parker's blood ran cold. This wasn't a regular vehicle accident, this was murder. It could only mean one thing..."Your brake-line was cut?" he asked. River's eyelids fluttered, she was fading... "Dam it!!! River...stay with me...please...Stay with me..."
Parker had a lump in his throat a mile wide.
Parker's eyes spilled over as he tried to get his voice out through the enormous logjam in his throat, "I'm sorry...River...I'm...so sorry..." he whispered to her. "He's gone...but you're still here...you need to live...for your kids..." he tried to give her something to hold on to.
"No...River...no...Please..." There was still a part of Parker that loved River and he was devastated, "No...you can't..."
"My...husb..."

King William: Bryce, I'm warning you.I will fight you right now.
Bryce: Let's do this and get it over with.I have a kingdom run.
King William: Over my dead body.
Bryce: If necessary.
Bryce: Did you forget William? You trained me.I'm equally as strong as you are.
King William: But not as cunning, back down Bryce.
Bryce: You will have to kill me before I do so.
King William: Fine.
Bryce(crying): no...no don't, please...I'll leave, I swear...Have mercy.
King William: I, William, king of Praaven, defender of the Kingdom, sentence you, Bryce to death.
Bryce:(Whining) I'm sorry...sorry.
Claire: Wait, You're Majesty, aren't you being judgmental? Stocks, dungeon, locked up in the square.But death is a little harsh?
King William: Claire, stay out of this.This isn't your concern.I'm king.
Claire: But I don't like the idea of killing someone.
King William: I said enough Claire!
Bryce:(sniffles): Sarah will have her revenge.
And with that, Bryce was done.
King William: That's one problem gone.Claire, Where are you going?
Claire: Home....back to my farm.
King William: What?
Claire: You couldn't have spared his life? Lock him up? Give him a chance?
King William: He had his chance, Claire.He threatened you, me and my Kingdom more times than I can count.
What I did was justified.I take no pleasure in ending a life, but it had to be done.
Claire: Sure you didn't.
King William: Claire, come back here.
Claire: No.

I can't remember which save I played Friday. I either forgot to take a pic, or it didn't upload properly. I think I was with the Shields'. I'll have to check my screenshot cache to see if I didn't upload one. I think I was with them, because I remember that I forgot ghosts can't become partners in businesses and had to send Marcus to invest in everything.
Saturday was my cousin's wife's baby shower (she's only gaining weight in her stomach and a little in her ankles and looks amazing), and that lasted most of the afternoon. After getting the shopping done we got home late, and then I went to Venom at 7:30, so I didn't get any playing done because by the time I got home, it was time to get ready for bed.
Last night I was with the Drakes. I aged up Eden to child because baby Frankie was born (I literally blanked on F names for boys and that was the only thing I could think of). I tried to put a bunk bed in Dinah's room, but was having pointer issues again, and just ended up putting another single bed against one of the walls for Eden. I had to punish a peeping tom by starving him do death, but he either didn't die or his headstone vanished off the property, because when I moved the shrubs he was in, I couldn't find it. I have a pic of Jonah with Frankie, who I think is a little on the red side to be an exact match for Claire.
Will probably work on the Rec Center tonight since I didn't get a chance to over the weekend, and I think it's the next save in line.
