Here's my take on this challenge! I decided to go with BOTH options and create a gradient going from black, to gold, yet still mirror everything. It is supposed to be a veranda, but it also works as a small living room. I decided to keep it clutter-free (Well, not 100% :P ) and focus more on the gradient and shades.
The layout and furnishing of The Golden Veranda is very nice! @Samaramon It looks great the way you have done the gradient from black to gold through the room! The mirror image of the two sides of the room looks great! The patterned wall dividers look great in the corner nooks and the colours of the curtain blinds used look very nice. The two patterned light strips give a great look to the room! Very nice sofa seats sitting area! It looks great the way that the sofas are angled in a mirror image. Sims will enjoy sitting resting there, and the sets of two flowers beside the sofas and on the wall table are pretty touches there. It looks very nice how the vases have been placed on the coffee table. The floor tiling is great and the patterned floor print adds a very nice touch to the room. The type of curtains placed over the doors looks very nice.
It is a very nice veranda room to reflect the equinox! Thankyou very much for entering the room challenge !
I know I'm a little late, but I wanted to say good job on the Equinox challenge, everyone. You all really rose to the occasion, many of you even choosing to take on both specs and make it doubly tricky. And congratulations to those favorited by Maxis. Very nice work.

So here's my entry!
Theme for the week: A room that is furnished the same on both sides OR a room that uses black/grey on one side and white/yellow on the other side.
Gallery name of room: The Golden Veranda
Origin ID: Samaramon

Pictures of the room:
(I JUST noticed that I forgot to extend the tiles around the fence, whoops.)
Like I said, I wanted to keep it simple and focus more on the gradient, especially on the wall, so I'm sort of happy with how that turned out
Beautiful rooms everyone! This was such a fun challenge to do! Thank you for hosting as always, @rosemow
