Introduction:
Hello! My name is Koteyka and this will be my sims story thread.
So the thing is, my whole life i've been needing feedback on everything i do. Its a problem, really. If i write a book - gotta post it. If i draw a picture - gotta give it to someone. If i play a game - really want to share with other people
how i play it.
A couple of days ago i uploaded my current family's story in a thread where people shared their seasons games backstories. And suddenly someone requested to find out what happens next! So once again i though how nice, how
very nice it would be to actually share my sims stories in detail with lots of people. Maybe then i won't get the feeling that I'm wasting my time on nothing.
I was very uncertain if i should do this. Maybe some people will find my stories weird. Or stupid. Or something else. But after lots of thinking i decided that okay - I'm going to do this! After all - whats the worst that could happen? And here it is! The thread for my sims story.
The challenge:
As i posted in the name for my thread, this will also be a challenge. I'd never dare post normal gameplay since that would get boring pretty quickly. So this challenge is something a couple of my friends are doing and something i decided to try out too.
The realism challenge (Oh, by the way, I'm am most certainly NOT the one who came up with this. I know a lot of people who play this way). What does that mean? It means that my sims will have to live like in real life. And that means that there are some rules like:
1 Your sims must brush their teeth twice a day and drink water twice a day. (I still do that only once a day since i keep forgetting lol)
2 Your sims must buy objects and clothes from shops (buying off build/buy equals buying off the internet. That means that the furniture needs a day or two to get to the household).
3 Taking down walls and removing cracks costs extra money (same goes to making from scratch a kitchen/bathroom, because plumbing system n stuff).
4 You sims hair grows once a season, if you want to keep it the same you will have to get haircuts which costs money.
5 You sims clothing (everyday and sleepwear) must change once a season.
6 Sims can't have more then one baby once a season. (one baby a week if you don't have seasons.)
7 All cities are far away from each other, if you wanna travel between them you actually got to pay for a plane/train ticket and fly/ride for a few hours.
8 You can only cook from the ingredients you have.
9 If you want to sell an item you should first "upload" it on eBay (by doing anything on the computer/phone), then throw a dice - if an even number comes out, then you sold the item. If odd - try again tomorrow.
10 If you have vampire GP, even season (week if you don't have seasons) you should add a crack, hole, etc on the wall. If you don't have the vampire GP you should remove one furniture piece (as if it broke).
11 Putting up new wallpapers costs +1 for each wall piece you have to remove the old wallpaper from, then +3 for each wall piece you need to put new wallpaper on. Same goes with flooring.
12 If gardening, you can only harvest plants once per week.
13 Technically you have to pay your taxes, your bus rides around town, your med care etc, but i just pretend thats all included in the bills because it's too complicated.
The list can go on and on, to be honest. Currently my sims live in a huge empty old farmhouse and the main goal is to fully furnish it before they become elders. So that should be something interesting... Also, this might turn into kind of a legacy.
Kind of.
Without further ado - lets begin. Here is the backstory of my sims. Very glad i took lots of screenshots while playing, even though i never thought i would actually upload them...

"Dad, what do i do?.."
"Okay, first of all, stop panicking."
"Stop panicking? Stop panicking?! I have no idea what to do, this is a disaster! Also its starting to rain-"
"Are you OUTSIDE!? Get in the house, now!"
"Now listen carefully. I've already done this before, so i think i can instruct you on what to do."
"What do you mean you've done this before?"
"Well you were kinda born in an alley instead of a hospital. It also rained."
"What!?"
"Long story. Now calm down-"
So Angel instructed Connor through the whole process. It was hard, because soon Angel started panicking more then Connor, but nevertheless...
"Okay, Connor, thats it- i bought the plane ticket, i'm on my way-"
"Dad! Its okay, dad! I think we did it. Its a girl!!"
"She's so precious" smiled Susan.
Connor agreed. "I'm gonna be the best dad ever-"
All of a sudden, the baby started crying.
"What? What'd i do?" Connor panicked. "I'm a horrible parent. My kid is only two minutes old and i already managed to make her cry!"
But it turned out the little girl simply needed her mommy.
Connor and Susan smiled, looking at their newborn daughter. She was so precious.
At last, she fell asleep.
Connor smiled and kissed his wife, realising that he finally understood what true happiness feels like. And it felt wonderful.
"We are going to have the best life ever." he whispered. "Just you wait and see - one day we'll live happily ever after."
Here are the only rooms (except all the bathrooms) in the house that are furnished on this moment. The kitchen remained since the old household lived here,
and the bedroom is what Connor and Susan managed to get for 3000 simoleons which they were starting off with. I was thinking of making them start with 5000 but quickly changed my mind. My game must be VERY challengy!
Obviously not having even a computer in the house is very hard, even though Connor grew up in old-fashioned family and didn't bother about those kind of things. Susan did, though. So as soon as morning came (and it came quite soon since the baby was born around 3 AM) Connor began gardening. He hasn't done this since he was a kid and was incredibly excited!
"Geez, Connors photos definitely need new frames!" Yes, Susan, they mostly certainly do. But we're playing in realistic mode so i can't just delete those and buy new ones... but the pain is real, i get it!
After lots of hours of hard work, Connor got himself a pretty good-looking garden. I honestly didn't expect it to be so huge! I only bought six packs of seeds...
While Susan watered the plants, Connor entertained his new baby who wouldn't stop crying if she wasn't held.
Its a girl, dad, he thought to himself. Its a girl. Im going to be the best dad ever, just you wait.
Then he decided to bake some cookies...
But the baby started crying and he once again had to rush into the bedroom and cheer her up. This happened three times in a row! IN A ROW! I've never had such a troubled baby in the sims. Ever.
In the evening Connor finally managed to get the baby to sleep and finished his cookies. Just in time for Susan to finish watering the plants!
Of course, about what else could parents talk during dinner then about their child.
"What are we going to call her?"
"Delaney."
"You've already came up with a name?" Connor was impressed. Susan nodded.
"Oh, I knew what i'll call my firstborn since i was seven!" her eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Well... What if it would be a boy?"
Susan looked at him slightly puzzled.
"I highly doubt that. It could be only Delaney. Delaney Appleton." she shrugged. "Sounds wonderful, don't you think?"
"Sure. Wait, Appleton..? Since when were we-"
"My last name. And yours, after we get married! You don't want to be a Smith your whole life, do you? Connor Appleton sounds wonderful! Look, i've got it all planned out-"
"Yeah, i'm sure you did." Connor smiled too. Susan was an incredible perfectionist, she planned out everything. But he didn't mind at all. He learned to love her little flaws, because thats what made Susan Susan - the girl he fell in love with. The girl with whom he brought to this world beautiful little Delaney.
It was a fine spring morning. Susan was having leftover cookies for breakfast,
Connor was entertaining little Delaney... when all of a sudden, someone rang the bell.
"Dad..? Hey! What are you-"
"Wow, steady there... i told you everything is okay but you still flew all the way from San Myshuno to Windenburg just to give us diapers?"
"Well what'd you think - you move out of town and I'm not worrying for you anymore?"
"Hey there, kiddo, aren't you just the most adorable thing ever... Connor?"
"Yeah..?"
"Why is your baby so unhappy?"
Pretty soon in turned out, that everything was a disaster. The crib was the wrong size, the lightning in the room was too bright, the baby clothing was uncomfortable. At least Angel thought so.
"Terrible parenting, Connor. Terrible parenting!"
To Connors relief, Susan swooped in to save the day. She assured Angel that its been proven that smaller cribs are better for babies, the lightning is perfectly fine and the clothing is perfect. Little by little, Angel began to admit that he's been slightly overreacting.
"But only slightly!" he added. "Im still leaving you diapers cause the ones you're using are just... just wrong, okay?"
Then they all had cookies. Because what else can you do on an empty farm.
"She's beautiful." said Angel. "What'd you name her?"
"Delaney." replied Connor with a huge smile.
"Delaney? The poor kid, why would you name her with a surname?"
"Thats not a surname!" Susan was obviously hurt.
"Hey, i'm Irish and i know an Irish surname when i hear it. Thats called terrible parenting and she's going to be teased at in school and everything will turn out horrible and- don't you think Jasmine just suits her more?"
"No." said Connor and Susan in one voice.
After lunch time Susan went to feed Delaney, Connor was on dish-washing duty. I have no idea why, but my sims refused to wash the dishes in the old sink so i had to replace it with this one. Those sims bugs are deeply annoying!
"So." started Angel. "Hows your life here so far? Enjoying living off the grid, far away from civilisation?"
"Its not that bad, dad." Connor laughed. "We have electricity, the plumbing is fine, the internet is quite laggy but still works... plus, Windenburg centre with malls and fancy restaurants is only a couple of miles away."
"I guess I've just lived my whole life in the city, so i can't possibly understand this stuff. But i mean- you don't have a computer, your house looks like it'll fall in pieces any minute!.." Angel sighed.
"Look, all I'm trying to say, is that if you ever have problems- financial, for instance, because you're obviously struggling with money-"
"I'm fine, dad. Honestly. Everything is fine."
"But you can always count on my help. You know that, right?"
"Yeah. Thanks." Connor smiled. Surely his dad was one of the overprotective types. And who could blame him? He missed out on ten years of his sons life...
After a few days of gameplay my sims finally started brushing their teeth and drinking water twice a day. This is harder then i thought!
The next day Connor convinced Angel to stop with the worrying and leave to San Myshuno. When he finally left Connor decided to hit the local market. Just when it started raining!
Even though it wasn't the season yet, Connor bought some tomatoes to plant on their patch.
Then he also bought some berries, desperately trying not to pick any rotten ones... there was plenty of rotten ones because once again, it wasn't the season just yet.
"Hey! You're new around here, aren't you?"
Connor turned and saw a middle-aged Swedish-looking guy.
Or maybe not Swedish-looking. thought Connor on second glance. "Me and my finance just moved in here a couple of days ago. But I'm not "new", i lived here for ten years and-"
"Ten years and i haven't seen you around? In what kind of a hole did you live?" before Connor answered, he continued. "So i s'pose you're the ones who bought the old Apple farm? Your into farming, aren't you?"
"Yeah... How'd you know?"
"Got that farm-boy look written all over you. I once wanted to be a farmer... now i've got a whole farming corporation! The whole country feeds off my fields. I could get you and your wife a job if you want!"
"That'd be nice." Connor smiled.
"Good! We'll discuss the details tomorrow."
"My address is-"
"Why would i need your address? Everyone knows when the Apple farm is. A name would be nice though! I'm Bjorn, by the way. Bjorn Bjergsen."
"Connor. Connor Smith. Apparently becoming Connor Appleton after the marriage."
"The Appletons on the Apple farm... i like the sound of that!" Bjorn smirked. "Well, see you tomorrow then, Connor Smith-Appleton!"
Later that day Connor told Susan about the good news. Susan was delighted!
The next day Bjorn appeared. And not alone! He brought his wife Clara and daughter Elsa with him!
"This is just half of our family." he said, grinning. "Not counting the animals, of course."
Susan immediately began chatting with Clara and Elsa as if they were good friends. Connor and Bjorn went inside to talk business. The idea was that Connor and Susan will take turns working out on the main fields and also, if they need extra money, Bjorn would buy products off their patch.
"Of course, you could sell them at the market, but that requires something you young kids don't have yet. Skill."
"Hey, i've done it as a kid-"
"Things changed in ten years, son. So, you taking the job? We'll start at 20 per hour. Gonna do a good job - i'll raise you up to 25."
"That'd be great!"
"Good. Say," Bjorn suddenly smiled, "you need told me you're marrying Susan."
"Is there something wrong with that?" said Connor defensively.
"No, no, good choice! I bet you'll live a happy happy life together. I just can't picture myself living with someone so... bossy."
"Yeah, well, Susan is a brilliant person and you- you shouldn't call her bossy!"
"Wow, kid, calm down. I've known her since she was an itty-bitty child who came to visit her aunt mrs Munch every summer. And what a pain it was for the whole town! I've never seen such a perfectionist in my life. Every single person on this land knew about her "epic life plan"! Im not surprised if it hasn't changed a bit since she drew it for the first time.
"You know, i'm getting the impression you don't like her too much-"
"I never said that. And i'll gladly have her at work. Tomorrow, 7 PM! Now, i'd love to stay and chat a bit more, but really gotta go. See ya tomorrow!"
Connor never told Susan about that little talk they had.
Meanwhile, their patch grew bigger and bigger...
Today Susan decided to drive off to the Windenburg centre and buy a... table. Yep. Because she really needed a desk in their bedroom to write in her diary. Such a shame that sims can't write in bed!
With only 300 in the family budget this was going to be hard, but Susan still managed to find something decent!
While picking out the desk she so happened to accidentally bump into the furniture shops owner! They chatted for a while, Susan told him all about her life, found out that he's a professional designer and asked for some tips to create a nursery. Not that they have the money yet, but still... the shop owner gladly agreed to help! Also he liked Susan so much he actually gave her a bookshelf they had on discount for free.
"Hey... um, who's that weird guy and whats he doing in our house?"
"Oh, thats Sheldon and he's a professional designer. He's going to help us with the room for Delaney!"
But first Susan showed off the new desk she bought.
"Well, what do you think?"
"Hmm... i think we can work with this. Plenty of space, enough sunlight, a pretty high ceiling..."
After making a few checks in his notebook Sheldon said that he'll check out the nurseries they have in stock and see what suits them the most.
"Nice meeting you, thanks, goodbye!"
"Okay, seriously, who was that guy?"
"The shops owner, i told you!"
"I don't know... seems kind of weird that he would help us out just like that."
"Or maybe he's just a nice person, don't you think?"
"Maybe... maybe i'm just being a bit paranoid." Connor laughed. Yet for some reason he was still quite unsure that this was a good idea...
One day Connor was reading little Delaney to sleep.
"Dad? Why are you calling? You woke Delaney up! Yeah, we're okay. Absolutely okay. Bye."
Connor wasn't lying. Of course, they were okay. At least he liked to think so. But deep inside Connor understood, that their life isn't exactly what they expected. Every next day was exactly like the previous one. Every morning they made grilled cheese,
then one of them went to work and the other one would garden at home,
then something would break and Connor had to fix it,
then Bjorn would come to buy their vegetables.
then they would kiss little Delaney goodnight and go to sleep.
Not much fun.
Of course, sometimes things would brighten up a bit. Susan began practicing being a florist.
She even made a few bouquets from bluebells and posted them on a few websites,
But unfortunately no one was really interested in buying her flowers.
Of course, they still had time for a bit of romance...
But usually as soon as they'd start getting flirty with each other Delaney would start crying or something would break once again.
You get the impression. Life is a pain for those two.
"Hey, how are you?" asked Connor once while Susan was creating another bouquet.
"Well, how do you think? Fine, i guess." she sighed. "You know, i think something gone a bit wrong in my plan. But i can't figure out what exactly... I don't know why, but i just feel so down and tired the whole time!"
Connor sighed too.
"Oh Delaney, if only you wouldn't cry this much." muttered Connor, once again hushing the baby.
"I wonder what my dads would do in a situation like this?"
And suddenly, Connor got an idea...
"Wear your prettiest dress tonight." said Connor. "We're going somewhere special!"
"Huh? But what about Delaney..."
"Oh, don't worry, i've got a babysitter. Everything is handled!"
Connor took Susan to the Windenburg restaurant. It was nothing special, really, but Susan was still delighted.
"Ohhh, this is wonderful! I can't remember the last time i went to a restaurant!"
"Can we get a table for two please..."
Can we have some white wine and spaghetti?
"This looks delicious."
"It sure does!"
"Look, i know that wasn't anything much, but... i mean, this is our first official date, isn't it? So i thought-"
"It was perfect. Thank you."
"Also i got a mistletoe, ha!"
"Dear diary, everything in our life is turning out just perfect."
"We figured out that Delaney sleeps through the whole night if she's in our bed."
"Also we started taking her outside while we garden. She's loving it!"
"A few days ago I got this awesome thingie at work. Gets all the weeds in a few seconds! Im in love, honestly."
"I officially started working as a florist. Thats why i began planting flowers on our patch for my new bouquets!"
"Connor began upgrading our plumbing system. Finally no more breaking toilets!"
Unfortunately the bills, transport cards, insurance and taxes ate up all the 4000 simoleons we had, but we still managed to start working on Delany's room. I've got two tree stickers from my co-workers which look so adorable in it!
Seriously, why would they get stickers for a promotion? I understand when i get seeds or sprinklers but this..? WHY?
"Yesterday my family came to visit."
"Aunt Mila almost strangled Connor while hugging him! You know she loves him very much. Sometimes i feel like she loves him even more than me. Which is impossible."
"On the other hand, Uncle Gunther is very skeptic about him. Uncle Gunther is very skeptic about everyone."
"Little Lucas is growing bigger and bigger. And he's soo adorable! I just wanna pinch his cheeks all day long. Okay, that came out weird... but you get it!"
"Of course, as soon as dinner time came about and we got out our grilled cheese sandwiches..."
"they all suddenly had to go home. Weird!"
"Overall, as you can see, everything is wonderful. Right now my life is simply perfect. Every day i wake up, every night i lie down, i feel perfectly happy. My life couldn't have been better. Everything is absolutely perfect."
Summer has arrived, a new season! Yay! This means that both Connors and Susans hair grew longer and messier. I could take them to the barbershop but that would've cost me about 100 more simoleons. That may not seem like much but for this family every simoleon counts. So i decided to keep them this way.
Also they had to go and buy new outfits since it's summer time, pretty hot outside, and once again - that's one of the rules for the challenge...
What else happened? Well, Susan got a bonsai tree as a gift from her co-workers for getting promoted. Another little detail to brighten up the kitchen! But the most important part of summer coming is that...
"You can do it, honey! You can do it!"
"Thats my girl!"
Yep, sweet little Delaney started walking and talking. She's turned out to be a very active and wild toddler, but calm at the same time. You'd think that doesn't make sense but it actually does. She's got a bit of Susans hyper energy and a bit of Connors "go with the flow" thing. She matched them perfectly.
Very soon Delaney grew out of her crib so Susan successfully (all thanks to that yellow dice i rolled which gave me an odd number!) sold it. Since they didn't have money for Delany's room, she now alway slept in their bed. (or next to the bed since thats not an option for toddlers... I'm a horrible person, i know.)
Just like his father, Connor was trying to be the best father ever. He'd read Delaney books,
he'd teach her how to garden.
Delaney got very into gardening you know. But when Connor asked her: "do you wanna be a gardener like your daddy?" she shrugged and replied in her own language something that stands for "i don't know yet".
Also, Connor would never let her play in the new sprinkler he got from work.
"Oh, come on, honey! Its fun!"
"Well, only you say so..."
"See? Fun!"
"Maybe, but I'm still not admitting it... no, stop splashing, Delaney! This was a new shirt!.. Haha, i'm gonna get you now!"
One day Bjorn invited them to come over for dinner.
"I've got someone your little Delaney would like to meet!" he said with a smile.
So they agreed to meet after work. Today it was Susans turn, so Connor was looking after Delaney and gardening on their patch. Delaney helped a bit...
...But it was so much more fun to play in the sprinkler, so she decided to do that instead!
Also it was lots of fun to eat fresh vegetables while daddy harvests them...
Mommy came home! She's going to finish up gardening while daddy takes a short break.
The patch is now absolutely huge!
Evening was close, so they all went across the street, through the park, all the way down the hill to get to the Bjergsen's house.
Clara Bjergsen took Delaney to meet the Bjergsen twins - Taylor and Tyler. Delaney was shocked by their room - and no wonder! She never even thought it's possible to have a room all for your own as a kid. She knew that her own room was "under construction", but she was pretty sure it would stay that way till she becomes as big as mommy and daddy and won't fit on their bed anymore.
The tots started interacting with each other in their baby language... i figured i'd translate what do they talk about.
"Hi! I'm Taylor!"
"And i'm Tyler!"
"I'm Delaney."
"Who's this?"
"Oh that's my puppy, Diamond."
"No, that's my puppy, Diamond!"
"My puppy!"
"My puppy!"
"Gee, i like him." Delaney giggled. "I want a puppy too!"
"We also have a cat, Crystal." said Tyler happily. "But she won't ever play. She's boring. Who do you wanna be when you grow up? I wanna be a firefighter. Taylor will be on my firefighter team too!"
Delaney thought for a minute. Suddenly, she remembered a book daddy read her about Indians. They rode horses and lived in sort-of-tents.
"I'm gonna be an Indian." she replied proudly.
"Who's going to be in your tribe? You can't be an Indian without a tribe!" laughed Taylor.
"Why not?" Delaney became very sad.
"Because thats not how it works. And thats also why you won't be an Indian. You will be a firefighter - just like us!" said Tyler with a commanding voice. "This is our firefighter house," he pointed at his bed, "it has plenty of room for the three of us."
"But i don't wanna be a firefighter, i wanna be an Indian!"
"Why can't you be Indians with me? We could be a tribe together!"
"Because thats stupid! You don't even have a house for Indians! How can you have a tribe when you don't have a house?"
"I don't know!"
So they all started shouting and screaming and Delaney got very sad from all of this nonsense.
She ran away from Taylor and Tyler in search for her mommy and daddy. (i have no idea why she suddenly changed into her hot weather outfit)
"Whats wrong, sweetheart?"
Delaney didn't say what was wrong. She was pretty sure the whole thing was stupid. But it still made her sad.
"I think we better get heading home." said Susan. "it's getting pretty late. Thanks for the delicious dinner!"
"Also, you've got a wonderful cat... Honey? I think we ought to get a cat."
"Yes yes yes!" squealed Delaney in excitement. She was pretty sure she wanted a cat.
Also she was pretty sure she doesn't want to be friends with any firefighters. Ever.
Part 9:
Well, even though last night Delaney was pretty sure she doesn't want to be friends with Taylor and Tyler, now she kinda changed her mind. And she was incredibly disappointed when it turned out they aren't visiting them today.
"You see, if we go visit Taylor and Tyler right now, we won't have time for the surprise!" explained Connor.
What surprise? thought Delaney getting very excited.
But apparently, even though they didn't have time to visit Taylor and Tyler, they still had time to read a book.
And Susan also had time to finish her new bouquet...
And after all of that they finally were off to Windenburg centre, where they went to the furniture shop.
Up the stairs they went and came to the most gorgeous place on earth in Delaney's eyes - the place where they sell rooms for toddlers. And didn't it just look wonderful! (Okay, i know that everything in here is CC, but i've overused the toddler furniture from the base game so much that I'm honestly just sick of it! Even with toddler stuff pack no beds were added!)
"You're right on time!" Sheldon appeared behind them. Susan and Connor greeted him warmly.
"Now lets go pick something just right for your little girl!" Sheldon smiled at Delaney, but she quickly hid behind her mommy's leg. Delaney didn't like Sheldon that much. He came to their house every now and then and spent an awful lot of time in her "under construction" room. Also he had a funny sort of smile and always wore sunglasses.
"I think this will match your room just perfectly." said Sheldon as he showed Connor and Susan a toddler room. "One of our oldest and most favourited projects, if i do say so myself!"
"I don't like it." said Connor quickly.
"Why not?" Susan was surprised.
"It's just so... i don't know. Meh? I can't see Delaney living in something like this."
"Well, don't you worry. I've got plenty of more projects you might like!" said Sheldon with a huge smile.
"How about this one? Got that rustic sort of feeling your house has. It'll blend in perfectly!"
"No, thats not it." Susan said.
"Why? I think it's pretty nice." Connor shrugged. "I like rustic, don't you like rustic..?"
"Hold on. Where's Delaney?!"
"Delaney! Where are you, Delaney?"
There she is! Look at that happy grin on her face.
And my, what a wonderful set of furniture is she looking at...
"Ah, our latest product." smiled Sheldon. "Your child has good taste... good taste indeed."
"Do you want this room, Delaney?"
"Yes, yes, yes!"
"Well, then i guess you'll have it!"
"Can we afford that..?"
"Well, it's about 2000 simoleons for the whole thing."
"Perfect!"
So they bought the whole furniture set and spent the last money on a potty, since Delaney was growing out of diapers,
and a highchair. Now the household had only three simoleons in their budget. It was still worth the cost though.
"Thank you so much for all your help!"
"Yeah, thanks a bunch!"
"You're welcome, you are absolutely welcome..."
As soon as they got home they began setting up the new furniture.
And didn't it just look wonderful!
Then it was time for dinner.
And off to bed! This was Delaney's first time sleeping in her room. She loved it but she still was a bit nervous.
So Connor stayed with her till she fell asleep.
When little Delaney finally drifted in her dreams, Connor quietly shut down the lights, leaving only the little stars to sparkle.
It was a wonderful room, really...
But Delaney still didn't feel comfortable to sleep there just yet.
"Oh fine, come on here!"
(And Connor got sick. Great. Just great.)
Tomorrow was a very big day. The longest day of the year! The Summer Solstice. Thats why the carnival was coming to Windenburg and thats why all the kids were leaping in excitement!
"Oh mommy, i just wish tomorrow would come quicker!" squealed Delaney in the morning.
Connor went upstairs in the attic to find some decorations. To his surprise he found out that they have an overwhelmingly huge amount of flags, banners, lights and all that good stuff. A little bit from Susans family, a little bit from his family, a little bit from the previous owners family... all of that summed up in a pretty big pile of decorations.
"Look at all of this stuff!"
"Ready to rummage through?"
The first thing they found were these terrifying looking gnomes and a decor watering can.
Susan immediately took the watering can for her greenhouse, but the gnomes had to go! They were successfully sold that very day. (I'm very lucky when it comes to rolling the dice.)
After hours and hours the house started looking somewhat festive.
There was still a lot of time till tomorrow finally comes, so, since Delaney was insisting and insisting, they decided to come over to the Bjergsens. The parents were watching a movie and discussing business, pretty sure that the toddlers are have a good time upstairs...
Little did they know, that the toddlers decided to sneak outside and head on an adventure!
(Just pretend the lights are off, okay?? I have no idea why are they on.)
"Look! An old house!"
"Seems like nobody lives there. Its a nobodies house."
"Wait up, guys!"
"Then it will be my club house for Indians! Now will you join my tribe?"
"Oh wow, that house is so cooler then ours! I sure will!"
Meanwhile, the parents have notice the toddlers absence and headed off to find them...
"Look! That's my club house for Indians! Do you wanna join my tribe? Tyler already did!"
"Huh?! How can that be your house, thats a nobodies house! And- and- daddy said that wanting to be an Indian is stupid because that's just play-pretend and not a real job and-" (Btw i just love the look on her face.)
"Found them!"
"How could you run off like that? We were worried sick!"
"But da-ad! Look! We found a nobodies house and now it's mine!"
Connor looked and smiled.
"D'you think anyone lived there, daddy?" asked Delaney.
"Yes. Yes, i'm pretty sure someone lived there." softly replied Connor, picking her up. Susan smiled too.
"Come on. It's getting late, time to head home."
"Can i say goodbye to Diamond first?"
"Gee, i wish i could keep you all for myself."
Connor and Susan smiled. They both knew they can't afford having a dog just yet, but maybe some day...
"Come on, lie down kiddo, there's a big day ahead of us."
"I can't wait! I won't be able to sleep!"
And it certainly was going to be a big day tomorrow. The biggest one in the whole year, in fact.
Part 11:
It was finally the day. The Summer Solstice! The longest day and the shortest night of the year. Delaney could barely eat because of all of the excitement.
"Guess who came to visit!"
"Grandpa!"
Connor felt this had something to do with the fact that Angel missed his sons, Connors toddler years. Connor didn't mind, though. Who doesn't want a free babysitter that can keep your child entertained for hours?
"A present! For me?"
"Yep, kiddo. Just for you. Open it up!"
"Oooh!"
"Saw him in a toy store and couldn't resist. Thought he'd be perfect. Isn't that little guy just the cutest thing ever?"
"Its an owl! I'll name him Oliver!"
"Thank you, Grandpa!"
"Always welcome, kiddo. Always welcome."
It was nearly time to go to the carnival, but first they had a little bit of gardening to do...
Soon they were standing at the gates. Angel payed for the tickets (Connor didn't agree on that, but he insisted) and they walked in...
"Okay. Connor, Susan, you've worked very, very hard the passed months. So how about you go enjoy yourselves and i hang out with Delaney? You don't have to worry about anything, just have fun, okay? Good!" (I have no idea whats up with the earrings lol)
Before Connor and Susan got to react, Angel disappeared.
"Okay then..." shrugged Connor. "Lets try out the swing!"
Angel and Delaney went straight for the kiddy pool.
"Hey- hey- careful, you're getting me wet!"
"Thats part of the fun! "Delaney giggled.
Connor and Susan decided to try out some roller skating...
Angel and Delaney decided to go on a pirate adventure! Well... kind of. Maybe it was a rocket crash. Or a horse race.
"They're attacking us!"
"Whose attacking us?"
"Vampires!"
"We must go faster! FASTER!"
"Upsy-daisy..."
"Come on, i've got you!"
While that was going on, Connor and Susan checked out the water slide.
"You dad should visit us more often you know!"
Angel probably would agree.
Delaney was pretty much everything to him right now.
And Angel did feel bad that he couldn't be with her every day.
"Look! There's daddy!" pointed Delaney after Angel got her some ice cream.
"Hey! Enjoying the fun?"
"Yes yes yes!"
Connor decided to try his luck and win a prize for Delaney. He managed to get one shot out of three and was able to pick out a small toy. Delaney chose the blocks!
After that they realised that it's way past lunch time so Connor began grilling some hot dogs...
Meanwhile, Delaney had fun with her mommy.
"Look! Balloons!"
Soon Connor called everyone to eat. And after that...
Picture time!
Angel promised to get them the photos framed as soon as possible. Once again, Connor began the whole "really, dad, you don't have to do this", but Angel insisted.
It finally was getting dark. The fireworks were about to start! Everyone in the park started singing "Mayzie Grobe".
And then there was a huge dance party!
"Gee, I wish everyday would be thing long!" said Delaney to herself.
Just a few minutes now...
And the firework show began.
"Wooow. It's soo pretty."
Indeed it was.
Delaney especially liked these little guys...
"And they lived happily ever after. The end..."
"Thanks for coming, dad."
"No problem, Connor!" Angel smiled softly. "You know... i've been thinking. Why don't i take Delaney to San Myshuno some day? I mean... it's nice here and all, but... i think she'll love to see the city. We've got lots of amusement parks, not just the ones who come and go once a year..."
Connor paused.
"I'll think about it." he replied. "You really care about her a lot, don't you."
"Well yeah. She's just... she's just a very sweet kid, you know? And i- well, you know." Angel sighed, looking away. "I never got the chance to actually be a proper dad... maybe i'll at least manage to be a proper grandpa."
"I get it." Connor smiled. "I'll think about it. Promise."
"Thanks. Thanks, son." Angels face lighted up. He looked genuinely happy.
Part 12:
Two days passed and another holiday began - Family Day. The day your whole family from all the world comes together. It should be a nice and peaceful holiday... Delaney, apparently, doesn't think so, because she won't up her parents at 5 AM only to tell them about her terrifying nightmare with monsters and vampires in it.
Delaney was getting bigger and bigger every day - she even started potty training. But she still didn't like sleeping alone. (Toddlers in the Sims grow so fast, imma go cry now ;((()
Gladly, now she had Oliver the owl to comfort her at night, so it wasn't that much of a problem.
With PRESENTS!!! And Connor got a stereo!
This isn't supposed to look so romantic, trust me. Angel was simply giving Susan a pack of rose seeds because he knew she loves flowers and stuff...
Delaney got a book.
She was very into books you know.
So no wonder she loved the present!
"Thanks, grandpa!"
"Always welcome, kiddo. Always welcome."
And they were off to the Munches residence, because thats exactly where they were planning to meet up.
Of course, the party started from taking pictures! Angel would refuse to get in the scene because he's Angel. He hates being on pictures. He preferred taking them instead.
Besides the family photo, they also made a photo with Delaney because thats the most adorable thing ever.
And then, after all that stress, it was time to party! Connor and Susan got quite a lot of presents (mostly seeds), but Delaney definitely got the most. And they all were books! And also she got some blocks from Lucas to complete her block collection.
"Thanks, aunt Mila! It's so nice of you to give me... medicine?"
"Oh, it's just that you look so pale, i'm very worried about you!"
"Happy family day!"
After a nice BBQ everyone went swimming.
Remember how Angel doesn't like his picture getting taken? Well, Connor still managed to get a quick photo of him napping with Delaney in his arms. Angel was so worn out by the party that he didn't even notice. (By the way i have no idea why she kept changing from hot clothes to formal but oh well.)
Looks like Susan and Mila had a lot to catch up on...
No, they're just talking about how the boys will probably never leave the pool.
Delaney woke up for an evening snack!
Now it was time to do some mischief...
And time to have a talk about that mischief with Angel.
The party could've gone on and on, but everyone had one more important thing to do, so they wrapped up early.
Everyone went to visit the graves of their passed away family members. Connor went to visit Holtz's grave.
Holtz, Holtz, Holtz... Connor didn't think of him as good as he used to as a child. But he still loved him, because whoever Holtz wouldn't be, he was still family.
Susan tried her best to comfort him.
And so did little Delaney. Then they quietly went home.
At home Connor and Susan hung up all of the news pictures Angel printed out and framed for them.
Susan removed some of her old pictures and placed new ones in their place.
Delaney demanded every photo with grandpa to be hung up next to her bed.
Then they placed their brand new stereo on the counter... turned it on...
And began to dance.
Because thats what Family Day is all about. Family, remembrance and dancing.
So overall, it was a very successful day. And in the end everyone felt nice and peaceful. Just how it should be.
There's nothing worse then rain in the summer. Especially when it's a heavy rain with thunders and lighting.
The plants obviously thought so too - look at all of those weeds! (Seriously, i've never had so many weeds in my game.)
Even Bjorn who never cares about the weather was very grumpy as he bought their harvestables.
Delaney would cry and cry in her room.
So, as you can see, everyone was in an incredibly gloomy mood. Till 4 PM. What happened at 4 PM? The bills came. And when Connor and Susan checked on their family budget, to their surprise they realised, that for the past month they made over 12000 simoleons! How? And how did they not notice this? (How did I not notice this )
Turnes out they are pretty rich and got a lot of money. And what better thing could they do with it then to finally buy everything they so desperately needed in their house! So they went on eBay and immediately purchased a laptop. Then curtains. Also rugs. And a fireplace of course!
But most importantly, now they finally had the money to furnish their living room they've been remodelling for a while! Right now it looked like this:
"Guess what, sweetheart? We're finally getting a TV! And couches!"
That cheered Delaney up. She was asking for a TV like Taylors and Tylers for a long while.
So Connor went to the furniture shop. Of course, they could buy all of the furniture off the internet, but then it'd take a couple of days to arrive. Neither Connor, nor Susan wanted to wait that long. At the shop he said hi to their good friend Sheldon and rushed on the 3rd floor - thats where the living room sets were.
He immediately found the perfect thing! Affordable and cozy, just like Susan asked.
"The coffee table has to go though..." thought Connor to himself as he noticed a more interestingly looking one.
Connor also bought a new desk for Susan, since hers was very cheap quality.
(Okay, this is my bad, but when i moved them i completely forgot they needed an umbrella rack to have umbrellas so we had to buy that too.)
50 simoleons for the furniture truck, saying goodbye to Sheldon, and Connor was off home with the brand new set. As he came home, him, Susan and the furniture truck driver started putting the living room together...
"The coffee table aquarium was probably too much, but overall you did a good job." Susan smiled. "I like it. And just wait till Delaney sees this!"
Delaney was impressed!
She was so impressed she started to dance, completely forgetting about the terrifying thunderstorm which wasn't even close to stopping. Looking at her, Connor and Susan joined in the fun.
Then they tried out their new TV.
"This house is slowly starting to feel more like home." said Connor proudly. "Just you wait - in a year or so we'll furnish it completely."
And it really did feel like home now - the rain was pouring outside, the thunderstorm was louder then ever, but Connor, Susan and Delaney felt perfectly safe in their brand new cozy living room. Of course, they were broke again...
But it was worth it.
Well. Parties seem to be a big thing in the summer. Family day has passed literally a couple of days ago and bam - it's Independence Day tomorrow! That means putting up decorations because everyone else will put them up. And that also means going on a ceremony tomorrow to hear what the mayor has to say. Also Bjorn suggested them all to go to the nightclub later - thats where the fireworks will be. So tomorrow will definitely be a busy day.
Today was quite slow, though. Delaney had Taylor and Tyler coming over.
Bjorn came along too, of course. He insisted to work on the bonsai tree and completely ruined it. Thanks a lot, Bjorn!
After playing in the sprinkler they went inside to discuss their future plans!
"So," said Tyler, "when are we gonna move in our new huge club house?"
"I could ask daddy!" suggested Delaney eagerly.
"Ohh, this is a bad idea..."
"Ask me what?"
"Da-ad! Can we go to my club house?"
"What club house?" Connor was puzzled.
"My club house! The nobodies house across the street!"
After thinking a bit, Connor decided that why not. After all, technically speaking it was his house. He was the last person to live there.
Susan agreed to that and even suggested to meet them there in an hour or two.
So Connor took the kids to the old rustic house across the street.
It was a total mess on the inside. Cracks and holes in the walls, cobwebs everywhere...
"Look! A spider! Lets call him Jerry!"
"Mr. Appleton? I don't really like spiders..."
"I told you it was a bad idea! I told you!"
"Oh gosh, what've i gotten myself into..." muttered Connor.
So they began cleaning up the place. They washed the floors, the walls, took off all of the cobwebs except for Jerry's. Delaney insisted for that one to stay.
"Okay, seems like we're done!"
"Now, Delaney, if you really want to play in this house, you can. But you'll have to be careful and take care of it too, okay? This house means a lot to me and i wouldn't want you and your friends to smash it to smithereens."
"I will, daddy! I'll take the best care ever of it!"
"Wow, seems like everything is going quite well!" Susan finally made it. And she brought some snacks!
"Oh it sure is!" Delaney, Tyler and ever Taylor got so happy, they began to dance. In their eyes the house completely belonged to them now.
"We've ought to get some furniture here." said Taylor in a smart voice. "I think we've got something old in the attic... no one uses it anyway!"
"And toys! We've gotta bring some toys here!" agreed Tyler.
"And snacks." giggled Delaney.
Connor and Susan watched them with a smile.
"I think this was a great idea." said Susan. "This whole club house idea and all... it's so nice that they have a project to do together. I'm actually quite surprised you let them have it though. I mean- they're three energetic toddlers who love to run around and break everything they can get their hands on, that never ends up well for any house! And this one means so much to you..."
"Well, whats the use of a house if no one lives in it?" Connor smiled. "I'm sure they'll take good care of it."
So, Independence Day has come. What does that mean? Delaney had no idea even though mommy spent a whole hour explaining to her how important it is.
Delaney would much rather play Indians with Oliver!
Around 2 PM, Susan and Connor went to a holiday ceremony. Delaney was left with the first babysitter they found. (A very weird-looking babysitter, if i do say so myself... but lets not judge randomly generated townies, shall we? )
They had a pretty fun time chatting with their friends.
Susan's gotten a bit weird... but she's Susan, so thats okay. (My sims can make hilarious faces sometimes lol)
Connor and Sheldon talked about politics, also Sheldon gave him a couple of tips on remodelling his kitchen...
Then they all went on the dance floor.
The party was getting a bit dull...
The fireworks were nice though.
Very nice indeed.
But nevertheless, Connor and Susan decided to bail.
This is so much more relaxing...
"Connor?"
"Yeah?"
"When are we going to get married?"
Connor looked at Susan slightly puzzled.
"Well gee, i don't know... thats going to cost a lot... like a lot. Also it's stressful, boring, and- i mean-"
"I mean, we pretty much already are husband and wife!"
"I'd still like it to be official. We could have a fall wedding! Don't you think a fall wedding would look wonderful?"
"We could think about it."
"I love you, Connor. You know that, don't you?"
"Of course!.. Even though this actually might be the first time you said it... I love you too. And i think i'm gonna stop talking now."
"Thats a great idea."
When they came home, Delaney was already in bed. Susan said goodbye to the nice (he looks creepy, don't you guys think he looks creepy?) babysitter,
and kissed little Delaney goodnight. It was only a few more days till fall comes...
Bad news: literally all of my CC broke and after uploading the next part i might have to take a break and figure that out. If anyone has any tips on how to fix them, you can post in this thread:
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/944334/all-cc-suddenly-got-broken#latest
Part 16:
The evening before the last day of summer Connor took Delaney to the market, where they bought lots of new seeds.
Now that they had so many vegetables the whole gardening system had to be changed... (this doesn't really make sense but it will, trust me.)
Also everything they bought off the internet finally arrived! The living room is officially done!
Delaney literally dances all day long now.
Also they finally got their curtains: (i don't know why i didn't think of getting them in the first place but oh well lol)
Oh yes, and a laptop. Did we mention the laptop? Its an amazing laptop.
Connor wasn't impressed though. Some things never change!
By the way, he finally got promoted to a botanist. And he also levelled up his gardening skill to 10! Way to go Connor!
And as a gift for getting promoted...
This happened.
Seems like we're going to have cows on the Appleton farm.
What else is there to do on the last day of summer? Well, Connor bought lots of upgrade parts and began fixing around their furniture before the cold winter and huge bills come.
(Okay, so long story short, my sims ALWAYS gotten on fire because of the fireplaces. Or the rugs did. Or the chairs. I love fireplaces so that was very annoying. Now i find out that there is a way to upgrade them so they won't set fires anymore! How come i find this out only two years later?!)
Delaney is still dancing...
And it's night time. The last night of summer.
This part didn't have much storytelling and was just for showing off what my sims have been doing lately, but i hope it was still entertaining
Part 17:
Autumn is here! A very awkward Autumn. Lots of randomly appearing leaf piles, yet no leaves falling and no leaves on the ground. (it's not a mod issue, i checked the game without them. Also it seems to be so only in Windenburg - all of the other towns are fine. Then again, i've played only three days through Autumn, maybe leaves in Windenburg start falling later - who knows... no, seriously, if anyone knows, please tell me.)
As the challenge says - every new season everyone should get a new haircut. Which is exactly what we decided to do!
I absolutely hated this hair when i first tried it on. Now i love it. Why? No idea.
All together that cost 100 simoleons.
And, of course, they also went to the clothing store and bought new, chilly weather appropriate everyday clothes. (But since i've done that before my game was completely destroyed by CC, they bought completely different clothes which is why i decided not to include screenshots of that because it doesn't really make sense.)
That was around 500 simoleons for all.
Also they all got new winter pj's which also costed around 500.
(They look so warm and cozy which would probably be nice if it'd be winter in real life, but since it's summer and hot outside i can't bear even look at my sims now when they sleep because when i do i immediately get super sweaty. Wish i was joking.)
The next big thing that happened: Connor and Susan got a new kitchen. And this wasn't planned, but their old kitchen... uh... disappeared. (Gee, thank a lot CC issues, its your fault i had to get new CC folder from scratch and wasn't able to find their old kitchen ).
For the sake of storytelling i decided that they got a new kitchen because the stove stopped forking, the fridge started leaking... so Susan got incredibly fed up of all of that and told Connor that they are throwing this junk away and getting a new kitchen. Immediately. So they bought a pretty cheap second-hand used kitchen which still worked so much better than their old one. They also changed the wallpaper to something more cosier, because why not?
After which they payed their taxes and became completely broke. Once again.
Delaney is apparently going through a picky eater stage since she now throws all of her food away and makes Connor clean her high chair after every meal because no way Susan's doing that. I have no idea whats gotten in o that toddler. Still love her though.
I mean, how can you not love her? Delaney is such a sweet little ray of sunshine. And a cinnamon roll. And whatever else you'd call a evil sweet and mischievous cuddly toddler. I mean - look! How cute, she wants Taylor and Tyler to meet her new cows!
(Seriously, look at that adorable face. It just screams Delaney! I don't think i've ever had a toddler which looked so unique.)
"I don't like cows..."
"Are you scared?"
"I am not scared!"
"Well then come on in!"
"Bad idea..."
"Meet CLARA!"
"Tyler, look! She's kinda cute!"
"It looks terrifying!"
[
"That one's a boy. I call him Jerry."
"Gee, now that's terrifying."
"Guess what, mommy? Tyler and Taylor think Jerry and Clara are terrifying."
"Oh, honey, they'll just have to deal."
Speaking of mommy, her flowers look fabulous.
And speaking of daddy... Well, the older Delaney gets, the more he understands, that he should've been reading parenting books like Susan told him to.
"Hey, sunshine, what'cha watching?"
"So. Vampires..."
"Mommy said i could!"
"She did, didn't she..."
"Just as long as Delaney enjoys it, she can watch whatever she wants."
And thats how the Appleton family handles their rainy Autumn weekdays.
Connor was at work, Susan was creating a new bouquet. They are both working very hard (because i decided that collecting harvestable every day is way too unrealistic so from now on they collect them only once a week which means they now earn money seven times slower than they used to. Well i'm sorry, that harvest patch is bringing us way too much money, my game isn't challengy enough!) What is there to do for a little toddler who is left without any attention? Counting Pathy's patches all day long is way too boring.
"Gee, Oliver, i sure wish we could play in the sprinkler. But daddy says it's too cold outside!"
"Well guess i'll just go on a little adventure then..."
"It might be the most beautiful thing you'll ever see in your life, Oliver!"
"I wish mommy and daddy saw it too."
"Then they would have it forever in their hearts, just like we now do."
"Woopie! Playing in the leaves is so much fun, Oliver! Look at them fly! They fly up and fall down, fly up and fall down!"
"Time for a snack..."
"I don't know why i like being alone sometimes. Taylor and Tyler can't be too long without each other - so can't mommy and daddy. Why can i?"
"Guess i'm not really alone though, am i. I'm with you, Oliver!"
"Hi honey, i'm home! Uh, where's Delaney?" (Yes, his beard disappeared because i deleted that piece of CC. Really sorry about that, it will come back in the next part )
"Oh, just wandering around the area."
"She ran away again!?"
"Yep. The kid loves freedom - we'll just have to get used to that."
"Guess we will..."
"Oh, don't worry. She'll come back around dinner time like she always does. And without even the tiniest scratch!"
"Hello there, kitty! Aren't you neat. I'd like to take you home but i don't think mommy and daddy would like that."
"Say, aren't you a little young to be wandering all on your own?"
"Oh no, sir, i'm not alone! I'm with Oliver. And my house is just over there!"
"With Oliver, you say... Well, make sure you get home till it gets dark!"
"It's getting dark already? Oh sir, i've gotta go! But it was nice meeting you!"
So Delaney hurried home, leaving the funny man in the black costume alone.
"Hi, mommy!"
"Hi, sweetheart!"
"You're just in time for dinner."
So they sat and had a wonderful dinner. Delaney told her parents all about the cat, the waterfall, and the funny man in the black suit.
"My, that was quite an adventure! Almost as good as the ones i had as a child!" exclaimed Susan.
"You really shouldn't be wondering off like that," noticed Connor. "Of course, we live in the countryside and it's quite quiet and peaceful around here, but it still isn't that safe..."
"Relax, dad!" said Susan and Delaney in one voice. Connor laughed.
"Fine. But if something happens to you don't blame it on me. Also you'll hear me saying "i told you so" till the last days of you life."
Delaney giggled. Daddy can be so funny sometimes...
She knew she'll run away again soon. It was way too fun and exciting to stop doing so.
A toddler reading a book in her cozy pj's on a cold rainy morning near the fireplace. What could possibly be more precious.
It was so precious i just had to take more then one picture.
but it didn't work out. Some kind of townie i couldn't even find won the grand prize. (Has anyone won a lottery? I wanna know how much money do you get from it.)
The cows grew big and terrifying. But Susan likes them. (I've never played with cows in the sims 4 before so it was kind of shocking.)
It's kind of sad when your parents are so overwhelmed with work that your best friend is a cow.
All better than finding remote controls in the trash bin, of course...
Flowers. In fall. Blooming trees in fall. Something is most certainly wrong here.
Susan had her usual doctor checkup (thanks to the wonderful mod Private Practice!) and it turns out that she's in perfect shape.
But thats not the main thing that happened today. The main thing happened in the evening. Susan was reading Delaney a book, Connor was...
...staring sadly at a half full half empty glass of water. Yep. Now we know he's a pessimist.
They decided to watch something on their tv, but something went wrong and they started discussing their wedding instead, since they were planning that for a while. And suddenly, Susan came up with the most brilliant idea!
"Lets get married in Granite Falls!" she said excitedly. "It's only five hours away if you take the train! Besides, a wedding in the forest sounds lovely! If you ignore all the bugs... and the cold... and the toilet lines... but it still would be awesome, don't you think?"
Why not? Connor checked and it turned out that not only there were free hotels available, but also a wedding venue!
"Okay. This is perfect," he said. "They've got fairly cheap prices for the end of October, so lets do it!"
So that was decided. And ten minutes later both Connor and Susan began calling their relatives and telling them the great news...
They are finally getting married!
The next day was kinda in a rush. Cleaning, packing... even though they were leaving for literally one single day, it still was quite stressful. Susan spent a whole hour explaining to Delaney how dangerous it's in the woods.
Then Delaney got a bath...
Then they had a quick breakfast...
To the airport! (Yes. Um. It's an airport. Not a train station. But uh... I can't have two different lots for these things, okay?)
It's decorated... because Halloween.
Susan bought tickets for 9 PM.
While she was doing that, Connor did his best explaining to Delaney how does a train work and why can't they just use horses instead.
"Horses aren't a thing in our world, Delaney..."
After that they ordered some lunch in the cafe.
Hours later, the train finally arrived. Time to go...
They sat in the middle and watched the trees run by.
"Bye-bye, Windenburg!" said Delaney.
They watched some TV...
Susan was mostly on her phone...
Delaney got tired so Connor suggested her to take a nap. Three more hours till they reached Granite Falls.
As they got closer, Connor called Angel to notify him that they'll be in the camp in a few hours.
At 4 AM, the train finally stopped. Connor got a taxi...
Two hours later they arrived to Granite Falls.
