Also if we ever get a tropical island world, there should be no snow in this world. (Would be really weird. :D)

It snows in Hawaii yearly, and that is a set of tropical islands.

    Reality is really weird :P

Fall is my absolute favorite! here are my ideas, hope there are original XD

    Sims can get too hot/cold

You can see their breath in the cold

@SIMALLEYAILE had the amazing Idea of hot chocolate, I would also love fall baking recipes

Leaves fall and you can jump/rake in them

Personality traits should be added, such as loves summer, loves winter, oves fall, loves spring

pets should also be able to play in leaves

Yep. But, those are active volcanoes, not mountains. Which, despite the obvious reasons why they shouldn't see regular snowfall, still see regular snowfall.

It's one of the weird aspects of Earth's weather systems in relation to climate types. But far from the weirdest. For example, there's actually more deserts that are covered by snow year-round than there are that don't see any snowfall at all (though, this may change in years to come). The largest of these cold deserts is actually Antarctica. And, for some time, the Midwest of the United States was thought to be a desert (the people who thought this arrived during the Summer heat; Winter was a nasty surprise).

Earth's climate does some truly weird things, and that's without a growing climatic instability.

    Summer-
    1. Simple, small rides in the festival and the festival could be called "The Summer Fair" instead. Kind of like how people mixed content from TS3's boardwalk into festival lots when making them. Rides seem to fit in well with Summer since most amusement parks and stuff open late Spring/when it's warmer out  I'd also like to see both the cotton candy machine and snow cone machine added to it
    2. Food stall would sell hotdogs, burgers, fries, ice cream, ice pops, iced tea, lemonade, soda, funnel cake, and deep fried candy bars.
    3. Rather than a normal clothing stall, there could be a summer souvenir stall that sells souvenirs from the festival. It'd be similar to how a souvenir shop is IRL on piers, this one would have- Summer clothes, sunglasses, flip flops, sandals, visors, a seashell decoration, plus your Sim could buy a parasol and beach towel to use at beaches or pools
    4. Firework stall and also a firework show event. This could tie in with their timed event system with tasks. It'll give a notification at evening/night when it starts to get dark out and the tasks would be to set off different kinds of small fireworks along with the main task to enjoy the firework show  There will be big fireworks and people will gather around and watch them. Also, different small ones could give different moodlets/emotions- bottle rockets, sparklers, and ones that crack and spark on the ground will make a Sim playful, and a stink bomb will make them uncomfortable (from the smell lol). When watching big fireworks alone, with friends, or with family a Sim will be happy, but if they're only with a date they'll get flirty~
    5. For non-festival ideas, a beach of course with all of the old beach interactions like playing in the sand, swimming, playing in the ocean, laying on a beach towel with a parasol, book and/or radio, it's fun to see those! I also loved the wind-surfing and boating from Island Paradise, and those can be merged in too  Another cool idea would be Sims combing the beach for different kinds of shells that they can sell or keep as décor. Maybe they can also have a chance of finding a turtle or crab while combing the beach. The turtle would be able to be kept as a pet or sold, and the crab can be kept, sold, or perhaps cooked in a new crab based recipe like crab cakes or Cajun crab dip with chips/crackers. It'd also be very fun to have sprinklers back and to add water guns!
    6. Life guard career! I actually did like that quite a bit since it was another career you could follow your Sim with.
    7. Public pool lots under the public pool name and, they could add the life guard career to public pools too  They would have more to do at the pool also. If any of the pool rules are broken they would be able to lecture or scold somebody for breaking that rule. For example - the common rule IRL where it's against the pool rules to run alongside the pool, they'd blow their whistle and scold them. That brings back childhood memories for me lol. Also at both pools and beaches they could have a place where you can buy a tube or raft.

    Fall-
    1. All previous Fall activities/festival activities/holidays and make trick-or-treating for Spooky Day again.
    2. A hay ride at the festival for all playable ages! A toddler would be able to go on a hay ride with their parents
    3. Maybe a corn maze or maze at the festival too? It might be difficult to do with a small one, but possibly. Sims could also get the dazed emotion/moodlet or, if a genius Sim, confident or focused.
    4. A costume party and contest event on Spooky Day at the festival. It'd only be on Spooky Day, not all Fall.
    5. Stalls would sell the normal food stall items and also some fall themed foods and drinks such as - spiced apple cider, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin spice cappuccino, pumpkin spice chai tea latte, pumpkin pie, and caramel apples. The hot drinks can also give good emotions like energized, focused, and confident.

    Winter-
    1. All the previous Winter activities, holiday activities, and festival activities.
    2. An indoor section of the festival with a feast, a gift giving circle, and also, Santa Claus! This would lead to a lot of really cute interactions. He'd appear every year just for the winter festival and any Sim toddler-teen could sit with him and tell them what they want as a gift. The parents could take a picture of them. They could also take a picture of their pets with Santa as well, I heard some pet stores do that IRL and that sounds fun too!
    3. If you have a tree for the holiday set up he could also come at night to set presents under the tree. It wouldn't be anything too big, it'd be items that would work for gifts, like a tablet, small appliances, small electronics, small décor, books, ect. and also toys for toddlers and kids.
    4. The festival could sell additional Winter foods like gingerbread, gingerbread cookies, fruit cake, candy canes, hot chocolate, peppermint hot chocolate, and peppermint mocha.
    5. Hanging up stockings, but not just for décor, but to fill them with candy overnight for your household!

    Spring-
    1. All previous Spring activities/festival activities/holidays, but instead of regular painted eggs, it'd be the plastic kinds of eggs filled with candy!
    2. Being at the Spring festival passively gives either a playful mood for toddlers and kids, and a flirty mood for teens, young adults, adults, and elders.
    3. A new interaction at the doctors which would relate to allergies. Sims that aren't working there could get checked for allergies, and doctors of course, can check them for allergies and give them a bottle of allergy medicine that has an amount of servings.

Sorry if it's a TLDR post, a lot of ideas related to holidays and seasonal things that are very fun and cute  Glad this is up though for input, everyone has nice ideas

This go around I honestly wouldn't mind if weather was patched into the game, and future packs released seasonal activities, rather than an expansion pack that gave us a limited amount of content for all 4 seasons- well 3 seasons- since it's summer all year-round in TS4.

    EP #06- Vacations
    - two new vacation worlds- a tropical vacation world and a winter related vacation world.

    Summer-themed activities
    * Swim in the ocean
    * Scuba Dive and explore coral reefs and a lost city underwater where mermaids inhabit
    * Rent a cabana off the beach/buy a vacation house on the cliffs overlooking the ocean
    * Stay at the Oceanfront Resort and go gambling at the casino.
    * Build sand castles, play beach-volleyball, throw a Beach Party, fly kites, play frisbee with pets, or go surfing off the coast of an island lot.
    * Try and keep cool during a heat wave.
    * Work on your sims tan by sun bathing or the tanning bed/spray on tan.

    Winter-themed activities
    * Take to the slopes and ski/snowboard.
    * Take sims to the ice skating rink or at a frozen pond.
    * Sims can build snow forts/igloos, along with snowmen, snow angels, and have snowball fights.
    * Play Ice Hockey
    * Explore caves for relics, treasures, and encounter a yeti.
    * Keep warm during harsh snow storms and neck-high blizzards.
    * Rent a cabin at the ski resort.

GP #05- Country Living/Farm Life- added seasonal festivals- similar to what you find in small rural towns. Pop up festivals that added all 4 seasons- new festivals also popped up in San Myshuno to celebrate the seasons, as well as pop-up Farmers Markets where sims can sale fresh produce, homemade jams, and fresh eggs, butter and milk sims have harvested on their farm/garden.

    * Harvest Festival- pumpkin themed recipes, haunted house, costume contest, carnival games- bobbing for apples and pumpkin carving contest.
    * Spring Festival- pie-eating contest, kissing booth, face painting, egg hunt
    * Winter Festival- ice skulpting contest and New Years Eve Celebration with fireworks.

SP- Rainy Days- Sims can experience the beauty and power of Mother Nature with an all new Weather System to manage. Sims can prepare their home for severe weather. A new active career- Meteorologist. New gameplay object- Storm Shelter, Water Basin and Solar Panel/Generator. New TV and Music Station- Weather. When the storm passes our sims can rebuild the damage.

I really like your ideas, especially if some of the activities that require objects with huge footprints are also added to all of those godawful empty spots in the world. TS4 has open neighborhoods with basically nothing to do within them. Just like the playground equipment, chess tables, and barbecue pits, I would love to see season-specific activities added to the public areas of season-specific vacation spots.

There aren't enough large lots for things like volleyball and tennis courts, soccer fields, dune buggy races, motorbike runs and the like. So, why not add those activities to the public areas.

I could really see myself enjoying an expansion like that. It would give my Sims a reason to travel, other than picking plants in Granite Falls.

So long as those objects are also available in the catalog so that I can add them to specific lots on the home worlds, too, I'd be a very happy camper!

I was thinking how seasons should let you pick weather types for each world too. It would be neat to jump from your dry home in Oasis Springs to a winter storm in Willow Creek.

I've been thinking about this, too. I plan on having two particular seasons in each world. For example, Windenburg seems like London so maybe two rainy seasons and no summer. Willow Creek might have two springs but no winter. Oasis Springs might have two summers and no winter. Brindleton Bay might have two autumns and no summer. I haven't figured it all out, but playing will tell the tale.

New to forums cos I had an idea and wanted to share: sporadic disasters!

For example: snow storms, hurricanes, flooding, drought, fires, insect attacks etc.
Sims would have to prepare for disasters by boarding up their houses or shovelling snow or buying a/c for their houses.

Sims who didnt prepare would have to fork out money to fix their damaged property or try to fix everything themselves.

Might add a bit of spontaneity to the game!

honestly everything you say seems pretty standard no clue on if they will add most of that stuff though since i am worried it will just be like oh okay so we just need weather animations and we can call it a day add some moodlets to make sims feel uncomfortable or happy when outside during certain weather events. more or less just do the bare minium that was added in the sims 2 and 3 seasons.

For some reason I really loved the frosted window detail in Sims 3. It was so realistic and pretty, so I hope it returns :)

I just had this idea because I always get a headache when the weather changes too quickly: How about a "Weather-sensitive" trait? Affected sims feel the weather more strongly than others and tend to get specific moodlets from it.

Also if we ever get a tropical island world, there should be no snow in this world. (Would be really weird. :D)

Actually coming from what some might consider a "tropical" place myself this isn't a bad idea.

Although it does snow here in australia it only snows in certain states, and only ever up in the mountains, it's rare for it to snow anywhere else. Also the northern places of Australia are more like true tropical climates. They don't really have Summer, Winter, Autumn and Spring like the rest of Australia does, they have the wet season and the dry season. The wet seasons hot steamy and humid as it builds up and then it rains and storms in huge amounts and the dry season is... well... dry.

If we had a tropical island place in amongst seasons or added after seasons it would be cool to have them make it a tropical wet/dry climate, not the same as everywhere else.

Also being able to tweak the weather would be good, I like playing with the snow and all but I'd like to be able to customize winter to be rainfall only.
Another good idea might be to add random heatwave events, blizard events, or storm events. That'd make it more immersive

I'm confident that the devs are smart enough to include all weather in all worlds and allow us to decide where gets what. I also hope we get the weather machine so my evil, mad scientist can cause weather mayhem in every world.

I have something similar, if the temperature fluctuates too much in the night, especially cold to warm, I wake up light-headed. It's been a problem since my teens, I've missed many a school & work day because of it. Drinking a "cocktail" of OJ & ginger ale helps. I think it's a form of SAD, which usually comes in the form of depression when winter drags on too long, but can affect people in other ways too. I wouldn't mind an SAD type condition in the game, as long as they don't overdo it, which of course they will.

Anyway, lots of great ideas in this game, I think one reason people most look forward to seasons is because of how much more it can add to the game. I especially like the idea of setting the seasons per neighborhood, especially if & when we ever get a tropical island. I probably wouldn't use it as much, since with my sims flitting in and out of different neighborhoods makes me see their world more like a county or large metropolitan area, so I would probably keep the weather consistent anyway.

One of the things I loved about 3 was the wildflowers, especially since my sims often made lots of money with them. I'd like to see that come back. We also need the skating rinks & half-pipe back, but this time make it for skateboards as well as snowboards.

I seriously miss the Seasons expansion from Sims 3. I loved having my sims having snowball fights and building snowmen in the winter. Winter related activities would be amazing! They could add sledding or ice skating as skills for winter. Regarding summer, there could be new sports like volleyball that they could try implementing. Just... ugh. I love Seasons and I really hope they bring it back.

I feel like at this point seasons should be a game pack instead of an expansion. Unless seasons was rolled into a vacation styled expansion too (special vacation lots only accessible in certain seasons e.g. a skiing resort in winter) there are already a few bits that has been added to the game that seasons addressed previous Sims games.

Seasons is the 2nd largest selling item besides Pets EP so it probably wouldn't be a game pack.
