The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones. When we engage in what we are naturally suited to do, our work takes on the quality of play and it is play that stimulates creativity. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of our comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself and who you truly are. Because of our courage, our lack of fear, we are willing to make silly mistakes. The truly creative ones are those who can think crazy; such a person knows full well that many of his greatest ideas will prove to be worthless. The creative mind is flexible; it is able to change as the situation changes, to break habits, to face indecision and changes in conditions without undue stress. The creative mind is not threatened by the unexpected as rigid, inflexible minds are.
