I agree, I would love it if our sims could dance TOGETHER, not just slow dancing but all kinds of dances. Waltz and rumba and hip hop and tango... but if we can't have all that, I would be happy with a slow dance.

Tango would be nice. Maybe they should do a dance pack so Sims can learn to face each other when they ask someone to dance with them, instead of talking to everyone else. Today, Sims, we learn proper etiquette of how you should behave if you ask someone to dance with you.

Yes, I miss some of the past romantic actions, slow dancing, playing footsie, the bear skin rug, and gift giving. I also miss children being able to play together. I loved when the could play tag and cops and robbers. It made the children seem much more real, and I believe slow dancing will have that ‘real’ affect too.

I think slow dancing is one of the most romantic things you can do
and I would be ok with them turning off multi tasking while they do slow dance because if you slow dance right you really don't need words
I wonder if that's part of the reason they haven't brought it back yet, they have figured out how to handle it with the multi-tasking system. But yet, I really want slow dancing back, as well.

I want slow dancing badly. Slow dancing like it existed in TS2, where you could direct other interactions while the Sims are dancing.
Yet, at this point, I just want Sims to dance together. Period. I believe this is the first time in the history of the series that Sims are unable to dance together at all.
Not only do they Not have slow couple dancing. You sometimes are not even facing or dancing near your mate that you have just asked to dance.
To me, they try to cover how silly that looks by having random Townies come dance near the couple.
Why did they even give dance floors if you can not walk out to the dance floor as a couple and dance together?
To me the dancefloors are useless.

I like silliness too, just not the way it's done in TS4. I prefer the more tongue-in-cheek style that the previous games had.
