I miss playing cards and using the slot machines from The Sims 3 casino Store item. It was so much fun playing around and risking everything you own. Even though The Sims 4 is too tame and childish aimed at teenage girls as the developers admitted to. Would you like it if gambling came back?

I agree having random curveballs thrown rather than playing pretend and eleaboratly orchestrating my own drama has appeal - but I am also big on player control. So risk that is triggered by player action is a great way to incorporate these things, and that was largely how it was handled in the sims 2 as well, don't want to get arrested? Don't sneak out at night, etc.
gambling is an easy mechanic to achieve that balance between risk and player control with, so I can see why some would suggest it - if you don't want to gamble, don't - but they would have to balance that with other features in a pack that enough people would use, as gambling is controversial and there are people with strong feelings about it.
Have you tried "gambling" using the wishing well, or other "chance" objects that include risk of failure/undesirable outcomes?
Slot machines and a roulette table would go a long way towards making that happen.
Though, maybe instead of money (if that's "too adult"), we could win tokens to be redeemed at a prize kiosk:

I don't understand this whole teenage girls thing. Every other person on this forum obsesses over it. So what if teen girls want to play? Why is this such an issue.
Same thought... unnecessary detail.
But yes, I'd love to have gambling back.
ETA:
Regardless of my use of them I always like more options to be there, never know when something might fit.
Saying "not to be rude", then blatently being rude does not excuse rude behavior.
If it's all good though, sure. Maybe to get around it instead of Simoleons there's another currency or something like tokens. I dunno. But it would be a cool concept and would be really interesting to seem what people would come up with. And if we go with theme, gotta go with that hollywood glamour or 40's mobster look. Glitz and flashy lights to make everything look inviting.
I have no memory of this place. Time to start anew I guess
I think that refers to the game currently being more about vanity and aesthetics rather than gameplay to please that specific shallow-minded demographic.
Most items are free, but making the Sims physical is where the time and effort is needed, and Id have no issue paying for the work.
