@simscognito Welcome to my thread and thanks for reading! The apocalypse challenge is interesting to write as there's a lot of things you can't do (although I restrict those purely to the story.) With this being plot-driven I have broken a few rules but that's okay. Here's a link to the rules.

Ninja got sick so Max had to take him to the vet. I opted for the cheap treatment purely because it's an apocalypse challenge and it wouldn't make sense for them to have good vet services.
Ah, so she did like the kiss after all. That's good. Although, she has a bit too much faith in Max to believe he's not keeping anything from her.
Oh, and I can see Max has a new best friend.

She's in love, kinda blinds her to that. We'll find out soon enough if Max does have any secrets.
Both of them have some interesting backstories outside other story. I'll reveal them at the end of this gen. (Yep, Robin's got to have a child at some point. )
@Bugsie2016 okay, so I had a look over the chapter again, hoping that I could spot a pair of glasses on our mysterious guy, incase it could be that man with the glasses in your signature - he looks suspicious, that's why. But I didn't see any glasses....and the figure definitely looked like a male, so I still think it might be Max after all...but I'll keep speculating.
