But if I wanted a virtual farming with relationship building I'd go and play Stardew Valley.
so there isn't anythng else you think would be fun so you wouldn't want dragons or werewolves @OEII1001
I'd like the university pack to make a real difference in the education for the sims though. Instad of just building up your skills, you could get a degree that would unlock a high-paying job right away, that you couldn't get otherwise. Maybe unless you were born into a high-educated family, or have high charisma skills or something. Anyway, something other than just building up skills. But I really liked the sororities/hidden brotherhoods etc from The Sims 2 university. That was awesome.
I may be a little cynical, but I don't really see any real reason for adding GP's to begin with.
EDIT: Another thing that's high on my list, if not on the top- is neighborhood customization. That was one of the biggest things about Sims 2 that made me come back time and time again. Terrain, how many lots, how big they are, skies, mountains, uneven terrain, beaches, other decorations ++. This + university would make Sims 4 very complete for me.
New Expansion:
New Fully Explorable City World divided by district (Cheap Residential Area, Mid Residential Area, High Class Residential Area, Fashion and Entertainment District, Beach and Pier District, Shopping and Restaurant District). - You still need loading screen if travel to another district.
Interactive Travel (only available in new world, can only use to travel to different district): hire taxi by on the spot, walk until end of the district area and using subway.
Okay but also.
I would love more deaths? I'd love more death that struck without warning, or when it did strike, was not preventable if you just don't continue to do something (which generally the sims usually won't autonomously continue with death-making things, so to get them to die, you have to push them). Although there are some 'death if you stand by and watch like a monster' things which is pretty good. I was legitimately so disappointed when the death pack was listed as an option for the community created pack and it did not win. I saw that and I just wanted it so so bad. Hopefully they'll revisit it at some point.
Generally, I just want more traits. I loved Parenthood because the traits you can get through upbringing can really pack a punch, and I love seeing my sims really stand out in personality. So more trait options would be great.
I'm starting to sound like a horrible person, aren't I?
I guess I want more stuff that is out of my control, because I love when ridiculous things happen naturally and take me by surprise.
I would like to see werewolves as well, which is unusual for me.
Also, body hair.
GIVE ME ALL THE HAIRIEST SIMS, MAXIS. I NEED THEM.
Edit: I also would like to see a farming ep. Ive always been one of the people thats kind of seen a farming pack as a bit meh but after playing with the gardening skill i can see how it could actually be super fun.
But I agree we do need body hair in TS4
Voodoo Magic*.*
Bayou World*.*
These are the three reasons why I still do not play Sims 4.
Farming EP (I believe a GP couldn't get the scope we imagine for the pack)
School EP (Just give us the tools to create a teaching system instead of just Uni. So we could create skill classes, workshops, supernatural schools and personalized colleges)
Art/Superstar EP (It's a must. I want acting, theaters, movies, and a fame system integrated to various branches of careers)
Witches GP
Tropical GP
Transportation GP
Romance GP
Bands GP (or in the superstars EP)
Sports GP
That all being said, I also want them to surprise me with things I'm not expecting, as happened with Get Together. TS4 needs more exclusive features.
Legacy Photomode
Gimme all the hair you got!
I would also like to see some vacation packs, hotels, casino stuff, amusement part stuff, ocean swimming, houseboats, I am kind of curious what that pack was where they were talking about visiting various spots on vacation. A nice place to bring in Cars, which I miss.
Some stuff that has to do with romance... interactive fur rugs, picnic stuff, wedding stuff, etc.
Eventually a movie studio pack, a university expansion, some generation stuff, like an elders pack, an active teacher career, I love the active careers. I would like to see volleyball brought back and see children being able to play tag, cops and robbers etc. with each other. Also some park equipment for children, like a swing, slide, merry go round , etc.
I would also like to see some kind of explorer pack with a archeologist active career.
A beauty salon pack would be great too....changing people's hairstyles, doing nails, giving facials.... a pack like this would go great with the spa day pack.... I would love to see a lot of new hairstyles added in one pack.... I always enjoy the new hairs in a pack!
Freetime/ Farming combo EP with lots of new craftables and hobbies. Chickens, bees, nectar making (as detailed as World Adventures), jam making, craft brewing, soap making, sewing (use Create A Pet tools to design unique clothes). New harvestables of course: wheat, barley, malt, many varieties of grapes, soybeans (use soy or beeswax for soap)
Jobs GP. Just regular jobs pay raises that come with experience and reputation increase. No promotions. Pretty much all tradesjobs (mostly non active) with 1, maybe 2 active ones- follow your plumber/ electrician as he goes around fixing stuff. Treat customers well to get good customer satisfaction feedback and possibly a tip. Jobs: plumber, hairdresser/ barber, electrician, garbage man, factory worker, train conductor, janitor. Lots of cheap furniture because lower pay for a longer time
Other smaller things I'd like are more jobs - not even active careers, just regular ol' jobs - and more things for teens and to do. Bowling is nice, but something like an arcade or an amusement park would be amazing. Also more traits (specifically personality traits, like 'shy' or 'introverted' or 'cool-headed' to contrast with the existing 'outgoing' and 'hot-headed' traits) and, possibly even more importantly, more trait slots for the love of pete. I also agree with the suggestion earlier in the thread for more different ways to craft different things, like knitting and sculpting.
Also also, maybe it's just me but it kind of bothers me how non-played sims always go to places by themselves and never with their families. I'd like to see families go to parks, bowling alleys and amusement parks together.
I would also love more traits, to be honest. I'd also like a bit of a redo on some traits. For instance, I got really excited when I saw the Jealous trait because I thought it'd bring things like "richer than me" or "better grades than me", but it's just about romance. Which, to be honest is the most common form of jealousy - but I get jealous about other things than my significant other. But that's just my preference, it doesn't bother me one way or another.
RIP Princess (July 4, 2001 - January 11, 2016)
RIP Misha (May 1, 2011 - July 2, 2016)
That sounds...AMAZING!!!!
I'm pretty much with you on pets. I am looking forward to being a vet though! They never put chows in cas and that is the only dog I really love. I have two of them. I want university also and an elders pack like you said would be amazing I think. Also there is another simmer who wants witches back with a chance to collect mythical artefacts that I think would be awesome to play. We can but hope that our wishes and wants become haves and holds.
