The theme for the week : an Asian style study
Lance and Jodie are hosting an Asian student who is on a student exchange program. They are wanting to set up an Asian style study to make her feel at home. They want to make it a calming study so that it helps her to cope with the stresses of doing studies. Could you please design a study for her? It would be very nice if you do! I will look forward to seeing the rooms!
Just a little reminder, it needs to be uploaded as a room not a lot.

The design of Asian Comfort is very nice! @coolsim9999999 It looks great that it is a triangular shape to reflect Chinese culture. The blue colour of the walls looks nice and gives a calming feel to the room. The bamboo are special Chinese touches to remind her of home and ads to a restful study setting. The bamboo looks nice either sides of the door and near the desk table. Very nice corner nook windows desk area! She will enjoy sitting there writing or reading books, with sunshine coming in through the windows. The yin yang floor rug is a nice touch under the desk table. The panda themed arnchair is a great Chinese touch! She will enjoy playing the guitar to relax. Very nice study desk nook! She will enjoy doing research for her studies on the computer. The candles on the bookshelf and on the table are calming pretty touches. The flowers are pretty on the table. She will like looking at the restful sight of the fish in the bowl. The eclipse patterned wall light looks nice in the room. It is a special touch that there is a meditation stool and yoga mat, for her to quietly meditate and do yoga in the room, to relax her before starting studying. The frog, Asian sign, colourful bird tapestry and light wall strip look very nice on the walls. The sun is a nice touch over the door. She will enjoy listening to music from the speaker whilst in her study.
It is a very nice study for Lan Lee! Thank you very much for entering this week's challenge !
@rosemow, Thank you Rose! Such a lovely surprise to wake up to.
Love the cool shape of your painting room @Paigeotto! Adding the floor and wall murals was an awesome idea. Love the warm colors and little kitchen/clean up area out back.
Excellent idea for adding the covered outdoor art classroom @CuteCoffeeGal! I love the way you set it up and the use of the glass roofs was brilliant! Congrats once again on your Maxis Fave! So exciting!
Hurray for Sam finally getting his well deserved art studio/classroom!! This guy is worth his weight in gold, so it's very deserving. Wicked cool room @Corwim! Just add a small bedroom and bath, and it would make an excellent apartment. Perfect placement of each different area and Sam's collages look absolutely Fabulous on display. I always enjoy seeing your play testing pics. Everyone looks like they're having a great time, especially once class is finished.
Such a Pretty room @amyybugg92! Love the size of the room and how it fits so nicely, right off the kitchen of the home. It's very nicely set up with lovely colors. So realistic!
What a Cool idea to add the darkroom @IronicBeauty77! It looks Fantastic! Very cool art classroom too. Loving all the clutter and placement. So life like!
@rosemow, Oooh! Love the theme for this week Rose!
Oh my! Are you ever FAST @coolsim9999999! Such a lovely and tranquil study! Love the shape and pretty colors... thank you for the info on it, I never knew that!
Just finishing up a little business on last week's rooms, before I move onto the next challenge.
Congrats on the Maxis fave for your lovely studio, @WrathofCath! Well deserved!
@Paigeotto: Great room! I love the inclusion of graffiti, and your use of those cool windows. And that white chalk rug from City Living is one of my favorites--perfect choice here!
@CuteCoffeeGal: Belated congrats on the Maxis fave! That's awesome! On your art studio: I really like the way you've made an outdoor space with an inside feeling here. (I feel like class wouldn't have to be canceled if it rained, not that we have weather.) Nice idea to include a clay area and a meditation space!
@Corwim: Wow, great room! I love the super-crowded walls. I feel like that must have taken a long time! And your use of clutter is excellent, as always!
@IronicBeauty77: Your studio looks great! I love the inclusion of a darkroom--I don't even know how you got that pink light, but it's perfect! And I love the way you really packed the walls with paintings--very realistic!
@amyybugg92: What a lovely room! It has sort of a shabby chic vibe that feels very realistic for an art studio. And I like your use of Easter eggs!
@coolsim9999999: I'm glad to see that you're feeling well enough to start building again! I love the shape of your study, and the explanation of it--that must have taken some research! And a triangle makes a tough space to work with, but you did a great job decorating it and fitting in everything you needed. Nice job!
Thank you very much for your awesome and detailed review of my room @rosemow ! I'm really glad that you liked its shape and soothing color scheme, as well as all the bamboo in the room --- especially the Asian sign, bird tapestry, as well as the sun and other decorations in her study . I’m happy that you liked the nooks and panda chair, as well as the lighting and yoga/meditation, candles and flowers, as well as the yin/yang rug .
@Carolynrosser --- I’m still cutting/copying and pasting my old comments and filling in new details, which pertain to my new posts and typing with one hand. I have to shift sparingly. I took very frequent breaks when I built my room last night, so, I think I’m back to building rooms, but not lots. My tennis elbow still hurts.

Bonsai Office looks a very calming study! @Sjemmie03 Very nice furnishing of the room! The Asian style windows look great, and the sim will enjoy the sunshine coming into the room. Very nice black and brown colour scheme of the room. The wall and flooring textures give a very nice natural feel to the room. The bonsai plants are nice touches of nature, and are reminders to the Asian student of her home. They look very nice placed on the edges of the room , either sides of the counter table. The dragon and books are nice touches on the counter table, and the orchid and candle are pretty for her to look at when studying. She will have fun playing chess in her study. The patterned square on the wall adds a nice look to the room area. Very nice study desk area! She will enjoy sitting at the desk table using the computer, or reading a book from the bookcase. The candle on the table is calming for her to see whilst studying. The ceiling lantern light suits the room theme well! The wall clock is a nice homely touch. She will enjoy relaxing and playing the guitar. The flowers , lantern and other items are nice touches on top of and in the bookcase. Very nice yoga and tv corner nook! She will enjoy watching tv , when taking a break from studying, and will enjoy restfully doing yoga on the mat to calm her mind and body. The plants are nice touches of nature and green , either sides of the tv. The Asian style wall picture looks very nice there. She will enjoy quietly meditating on the stool, in the sunshine in the other corner nook. The bamboo plants look very nice placed either sides of the door, and are reminders of home.
It is a very restful study! Thankyou very much for entering this week's challenge !
