Almost like the same concept of
@CathyTea 's
The Pen Pal Project, this is slightly different. Instead, Bucky would like to write to your Sim or your Sim's family a poem. You pick the topic -- can be from anything good to something sad. Or anything in-between.
You may incorporate it into one of your stories/legacies...or not. It will be displayed for all to read on my wordpress website, however, under
The Duckson Legacy section. I will also post it here for you to take for your story.
This is what Bucky needs from you:
- The name(s) of the Sims he is writing to
- The topic of the poem your sim(s) would like him to write about
- Something about your sim(s) he's writing to (aspiration, traits, likes/dislikes, etc)
What you may need from Bucky:
- Download Bucky from the Gallery
- Download the vintage typewriter Bucky uses (this download is from Mod The Sims)
If you're adding this to a story/legacy you are writing, please also add a link to your story's main page. I would like to link back to it from Bucky's poems page so people can read your story/legacy and just perhaps see a chapter where Bucky wrote to them.
* Also, please give Bucky some time to write it. Will have him try and get it out within 24-48 hours after the request.

And Jasper would love it if Bucky could write a poem for his niece Meadow, who's embarking on an exciting new career.
Would you like me to PM the details or share them here?
You can find more about Jasper and Meadow through Forgotten Art.
Do you also play The Elder Scrolls Online? You can find me there as CathyTea, too!
You can share here or in private. Checking out Forgotten Art.
Bucky will be up on the Gallery soon. I have a just a little custom content on him that I will be removing. You can download the typewriter here from the Mod The Sims website.
Jasper McCumber is Meadow McCumber's uncle. His academic specialty was pioneer literature, specifically journals and letters of men, women, and children who made the Overland Crossing. He's a widow. He's always been actively involved in the lives of his niece and nephew, but after their parents passed on, he became even more involved.
His niece Meadow has a PhD in folklore, and she's now pursuing a Master's in Art Therapy. She recently adopted a Pakistani refugee two-year-old girl. Because of the stories of refugees she met through the center that brought her daughter to Windenburg, combined with stories she's heard from good friends (including her brother's girlfriend and one of her pen pals) who have survived domestic violence, she is inspired to become a trauma specialist. She'll likely continue studying and get a PhD in trauma studies, focusing on Somatic Experiencing.
She has become passionate about healing, and she feels that the body's wisdom is the way towards integration, and art, music, and folklore provide the way to carry that integration of self into the world.
Meadow's traits are Loves Outdoors, Good, Loner.
The topic might have something to do with balancing solitude with interaction? Or something to do with nature? Or maybe something about integration: pulling together all of one's talents and experiences to do good for the world and for others...
Meadow also LOVES her family--she thinks about her passed parents a lot, loves her daughter Jena, and is close to her brother Norman and his girlfriend Ira. She's very close to her uncle Jasper.
Meadow's father installed the solar energy windmills on Windenburg--and her brother, Norman, inherited the business, Windenburg Wind and Sun, but he's presently in the process of converting it to Windenburg Sun because wind power can't be harvested in a way that's safe for raptors and other big birds. Meadow and Jasper are investing in the project to keep the business afloat during the transition.

If you use this in a future story chapter, please let me know so I can update the page listed above with the link to where others can read the chapter.
(I ended up getting a kidney stone yesterday, so everything was delayed. Still working on getting Bucky into the Gallery if you ever decide to use him to visit Jasper and/or Meadow....probably sometime tomorrow)

Thanks. No pain yet today *knock on wood*.
Here he is: Bucky Duckson (full address - https://www.thesims.com/gallery/7DC64C656C2011E78A8231B1AA318D0D)
I took out the custom content. He still looks pretty much the same as in my game and in screenshots. Now he's just shaven and a slightly different skintone.
Don't forget that he uses a vintage typewriter (full address - http://modthesims.info/d/557259) when he does his writing.
The name(s) of the Sims he is writing to: Phoebe Pancakes
The topic of the poem your sim(s) would like him to write about: Her secret love of waffles
Something about your sim(s) he's writing to (aspiration, traits, likes/dislikes, etc): She is a level 10 painter and is going after the painter extraordinaire aspiration!
Waffles and painting... you're putting Bucky to the test, eh? lol
> @OGmandyV Bucky has accepted your challenge. Look for your poem tomorrow. :)
Thank you so much!! I'm excited!!! Thank you for taking the time to do this. You certainly don't have to, but I am seriously so thankful!
Bucky chose some funness for Phoebe's poem.

not yet, but I can
I have no problem with it.
Bucky is looking to write more poems for your sim(s). See first post for more information.
Bucky is continuously looking to write poems for other sims. See first post. Also if you add Bucky in your game, let me know.
Yes! He's so cute! (in his bathrobe! LOL!) As you know, he's staying with Jasper, and Jasper owes letters to Liam and Alina @sweetnightingale ....
So, next time Jasper writes, he'll be talking about this wonderful poet who's living with him!
I am thinking I'm going to be dutiful tonight: I teach a few sections of an online class this summer, and they've got research papers coming due this weekend, so I really should be responding to their research scavenger hunts, annotated bibliographies, and outlines... so... it will probably be a little while (like a few days) before I will be able to write and post Jasper's letters.
(But if I decide to be Bad English Prof, I will post them sooner! .... I think I'm going to be Good English Prof, though, because I have so many good students this term... )
