Does anyone else find it extremely pathetic that we only have 3 expansion packs so far in 3 years? Sims 2 had like 6 or something and sims 3 had the same amount by that time. (Not exact numbers but you get the point). In 2018 the sims franchise should be up, because of the 4 year mark they usually last till. The sims team is either going to make this iteration last longer or they must be working on sims 5.

The expansion packs seem improved to me than from what was before, so they probably take more work. That is my opinion through.
Also before anyone mentions 'but TS4 also has Game Packs' I am talking about proper EPs here. Give me a fleshed out and well thought EP over a minor GP anyday!
They are still content to me. There are also game packs now which take much longer and imo two of them = expansion pack. Sorry we just don't agree and I don't want to argue with a fellow simmer since it won't get us anywhere. I just gave me opinion that's all.
So I am not trying to grill TS4 here but seeing it from an outsider's point of view, TS4 is offering less than TS3 did and TS4 is certainly not cheap, even after quite a lot of 'discounts'
At the end of the day players are asking for expansion packs, the real good stuff that kept you entertained for a long time.
I used to get hardcore PEPS during TS3 but not anymore. Everything has seemed to change for TS4, kind of like, we will get to it when we have time.
The more I look at this iteration, the more I think it will be the last. That spark seems to be gone
All the sims err'day
Interesting points.
In the old days 'PEPS' was a big thing. Nowadays it seems to be more 'PEPA' or Pre Expansion Pack Anxiety.
I remember seeing a bit of hype for CL last year, only to see that hype crushed after players learnt that you could not even build your own apartments and then just to add more salt into the wound, your Sims could only teleport into elevators? People criticise me for not playing TS4 but is it any wonder when I do actually keep tabs on things and learn of all of these set backs? Even then I did try the Free Trial and I already know what to expect, I judge a game by it's base game and not the later add ons.
Edited for a typo
Ughh...it frustrates me people still don't understand the concept of each team works on different stuff. The people working on bowling stuff aren't the same as the ones who work on the expansion packs and btw....they finished developing bowling stuff.
WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?
I guess that you are right, two EPs a year would see one EP split into two...
TS3: can you see those mountains?
Yes, I sculpted them in the CAW tool
We didn't even have game packs at all though, so what's to compare??? I don't understand this?
