Since installing City Living my game has been rendered unplayable by both blue screen crashes, and hard computer freezes.

I've tried-

- Lowering graphics settings
- Running the game at 32 bit
- Removing CC
- Turning off Origin in-game

Start with a graphics driver update: Driver Date/Size: 12/13/2014 1
And switch your game to the 32-bit version (you have just 4GB RAM).
You might also need to turn your graphics options down.

I'm currently now running the 32-bit version with no luck but I'll update my drivers.

I'd be surprised if it was caused by graphic settings as the game doesn't lag or slow down on the high settings but will try running everything on medium I think.

Make sure that your graphics drivers are up to date

Sometimes having a large amount of items in the sims inventories and household inventory can cause issues. Try removing some of the items from the inventories and see if that helps.

Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go,to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game

Try lowering your graphics settings

If after doing all the above things the issue still continues, could you please post your DxDiag info here. It will take multiple posts.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread.

Hard computer crashes wouldn't be a factor of 32 bit or 64 bit versions of the game, It would indicate either driver problem or heating issues or Hardware failure.
Can you download and install hwmonitor
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html (free version is fine.)
Open that program and LEAVE IT OPEN while playing the game for a couple of minutes, Close down the game and look at Hwmonitor for your cpu and graphics card.. tell me the MAX temp for both the cpu (processorAMD Phenom II X4 965) and graphics card. (GTX 460.) the max temp will be the temperature furthest to the right.

Another thing I would recommend is a full, complete system scan with both antivirus and antimalware software.

After having no problems running the game, suddenly, my system started crashing during the game after a certain number of minutes, always with a different Windows stop code blue screen error message. I use Open Hardware Monitor (freeware) to monitor my GPU and CPU heat levels, and nothing was out of the ordinary there. When it started crashing during different applications, and then after only a few minutes of logging in, I took my computer in for repairs. They found 6 viruses on my system! (No wonder all of my browsers but one wouldn't process my keyboard input properly.) My C drive was also nearly full - only 6 GB to spare, which is not enough for running Windows 10. So I also had them upgrade that to one twice the size. Unfortunately, since they had to take drastic measures to repair the operating system, I had to reinstall all the programs I wanted on my computer, including Sims 2, 3, and 4 (I'll reinstall Sims Complete Collection from the cd set later, same with MySims), including all custom content and store content. All the data was there though, so some of it was just a matter of copying/moving it to the right directory.

I can't even play my Sims games now due to a hidden virus from when I tried to install the Sims Online game and I had canceled that game install out and now I have to take my computer to the shop so they can find the hidden virus in it cause it blue screen of death on me every time I now get into CAS and it is a full hard crash to the point my computer will not even turn on due to it .

I had 0 problems with my Sims games until I went to install that silly Sims Online game and now I'm on a mini Sims vacation due to it.

I actually downloaded that too but I'm not getting any virus. *knocks on wood* I deleted the file like right after I downloaded it cuz then only I found out that it's not available yet cuz the servers are chaotic.

@DeKay you might want to get rid of it due to it pretty much blew up my Sims game and computer but as of right now it is working my computer but still No Sims at all for me

I have a working computer right now which is a good thing but I can't play my Sims but I can work on my Mulder Legacy story/website from my laptop thanks to screen shots

Thanks. I have already gotten rid of it a long time ago. XD I hope you can play The Sims again soon.
