Nanny Won't Leave My House

So I was super excited about toddlers (Thank you!!), so I started a new game so I could start a family (my current game wasn't ready for this life experience yet) and play with toddlers. My first child was a son. My sim parents got pregnant with another bundle of joy just after little Alek aged up to a toddler and I'm obviously masochistic because I gave him the wild trait. Even with having the mother work from home, she could not keep up with the wild, emotionally unstable terror that Alek had become and also take care of new baby Sasha. So I hired a nanny. At first she was heaven sent, helping me with both children so I could get some work done. Then she stopped taking care of the kids and starting doing weird things like sleeping in my bed, so I dismissed her. Apparently she like staying in the penthouse in San Myshuno, because she won't leave my house! I have tried everything to get her to leave my house, except killing her off, but she won't leave. Please help me!

It sounds like she really likes your house. Have you tried leaving the house - taking your sims travelling to a park for instance?

If that doesn't work, maybe move your sims to a new house. I know that is a bit of a hassle but you could move them back again afterwards.

Hello
Try typing into the cheats bar
testingcheats true
Then shift click the nanny and click " add to household". Then go to manage households , click on your sims household, and move the nanny to their own household. Then delete the household.

Thanks Figwit! No I haven't tried travelling, at least not with all of my sims. I can't travel with the baby though can I? Both of the adults have traveled. If nothing else works I will definitely try moving. I really want her gone.

I added the nanny to my household and then deleted her in CAS and it worked! Thanks for the help!

Service Sims of all types seem to be bugged after the patch.
I've had trouble with repairmen and caterers as well.
Repairmen get stuck at the front door and caterers never show up.

Has anyone had the issue of Nanny not taking care of the toddlers at all? My Sims had twins and quickly became overwhelmed. I hired a nanny to take care of the twins so the parents could take care of their needs. The nanny would put the hungry toddler in the high chair but never feed them. Then she would sit and watch TV while one sat in the high chair crying and the other stood in front of her crying because he needed a bath and was hungry. :-(

I am sorry that you have had the issue with the nanny. Have you had this issue occur again in the game or did it occur just on one occasion?

It just happened a little while ago. I may have gotten mad at her and drowned the nanny in the pool for almost getting my children taken away by the social worker.

I don't know if this was the problem or not, but I realized after I deleted the nanny that the front door to my penthouse was locked. I had a neighbor come to visit and I kept trying to invite him in but he would just stand by the elevator. Then I realized the locked door...

Maybe that was the problem and I verbally abused the nanny while keeping her prisoner in my house!

Not just service sims. I had this problem doing the 100 baby challenge. Some sim just decided to move into my house uninvited. I locked my sims bedroom door so he wouldn't go in there and sleep. I tried travelling with him back to his home lot and that didn't work. He just came back. Eventually he finally did leave.

I have had to go through 4 nannies so far as they get there and my daughter, Arrin, was crying. They went to her room and just stood there and let her cry. They didn't even try to change her diaper or feed her. I had to get my sims to leave work early because of this. If you have a nanny they should make sure they take care of the children.

I am sorry that you are having issues with the nannies,

Try repairing your game and resetting the sims 4 folder in case that may help to prevent it occurring again.

To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

To reset your sims 4 folder, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder

Just did repair and I don't have any mods in my game. (Sort of leary of downloading those as I don't want viruses). Hopefully when I log back in this will be fixed.

Nanny did eventually leave, a few days after my Sim's son aged into a teen. I had saved my game and went into household management to edit some other families. When I came back to the game, Nanny was gone. On the downside, my plentiful food source is also gone.

Now, she has to order in catering.

It is good that the nanny eventually left the home. By going into manage households, it may have helped to make the nanny go.

My nannies wouldn't do anything either unless the toddler ask for what they needed. Now I am a work at home mom...I paint and write books.
