@Kelebek I HATE the 2 adfly links too! I'm seriously thinking of not downloading stuff that has adfly! Not to mention I don't like all the pop ups and the risks that you can get from them.

SAME! Ugh But literally EVERYTHING except TSR has adfly...
@wrswrs2@Penguinwa101 I used to not mind the bombardment of ads on tsr ,but it got so bad that I'd have to wait 4 minutes for 10 second wait time because the ads lagged out the site
So then I got ublock origin and no ads,it's amazing
Also here is the hair guys,Sims4sisters posed the link

SAME... Also side note I know some of us make CC and I've recently been dabbing in it. I've made poses, hairs, make up and recolors with relative ease... But editing and creating clothing meshes have me stummped... Any pointers?
Your welcome sweetie ♡ Im so glad u found the hair - its really beautiful and before i hoppped to secondlife i was working on recresting those imvu like hairs ... maybe i should try again
I dont have a problem with adfly - and i use it myself BUT i also have a non adfly optional link because i feel like its more courteous to do so
I dont mind adfly on peoples own creations and only ONE adfly link
But the double adfly mandatory links and ESPECIALLY on creations that arent your own - thats idk disrepectful to me because the communtiy over on tumblr raises such a stink whem creators on sims get their stuff sold for the big bucks on secondlife but when its vice versa people are quiet
I dont mins conversions at all - i know some people hate it wheteher making money or not - but i think conversioms are harmless. Though if a creator does ask u take down a thing then itd prob best to do so ..
Also i feel like theres some exceptions to the adfly on conversi9ns things. Like being really in dire need for food or money though I wish those people (rare though anywyas - most do it just as side cash) would open up a donation link
I think im going to be cuttung off Adfly in general though. Its nice having the extra few bucks but keeping up with linkinf stuff correctly is getting annoying haha.
By the way just a heads up *most* of the people i know that use double adfly are kinda rude people. So with that information you can choose whether to support them or not. Also if you want their cc but dont want to give them the clicks you can use an adblocker.
I know one person has double adfly links + each page on their website is a adfly link. It got ridculous honestly and gave adfly a bad name. Itd a shame tho because in the beginning it was used so courteously (most ppl just had it as an alt link)
I been thinking about posting more stufff on TSR and crossing my fingers on becoming a featured artist. It would be nice to get paid for that along with Secondlife (i made a good amount of money alreadt for being a newer crestor their its pretty awesome @_@) . And then maybe eventually can quit my lame job at Walgreens. seriously having sovial anxiety anf working in customer service is a terrible idea @_@
Though i also do like to just create to create - just if i can add being paid for it along with it i don't see why not
I just feel like theres a line between "getting paid for something you like" and absolute greed ;u;
Edit : Also i can make custom meshes if anyone has any questions or would like pointers to some videos let me know. Ive made clothes hair and acessories for sims and shoes clothes and accessories for secondlife c:
I know some people are hush hush about sharimg meshing knowledge (plus it is hard to explain) but i have zero issues with questions. I just take a while to respond
Omg if you could make curly hair I would die,it's really great
I don't have an issue with adfly,I don't mind supporting good creators. But it gets annoying when you put a double adly link on a friggin eyeliner
And it's cool that people are making their living off their creations, that's super cool and sounds like a dream job for a lot of people, but not when you're converting, like please have several seats that's not yours to begin with
You should go for it,your boxbraids were amazing!I feel like you'd go far on TSR
Another edit -slightly dark/violent. Anti abuse, so I've placed it in a spoiler-
"Make a Statement"
(Wow another darker/sadder entry from me with my sim Delilah xD. So, really not much to say about this. It's an anti abuse type photo. Used many different brushes/styles/techniques for this one. I think I could have done more, but I just went with it.)
LOVER of all things cosplay, anime, cats, Shadowhunters, and Sims 4!
@Eliavah You know how to convert stuff from2ndLife to the sims? I don't get 2nd life, how people can make such great stuff on it, because I can't even figure out how to make an avatar haha. But they have such awesome facial hairs for 2ndLife, I'm envious and would love them for TS4 haha. IDK how I would even convert them, just for personal use.
broo i saw that all over tumblr i was like @_@@Penguinwa101 ~ Most people use a program called Marvelous Designer.
My friend has a greatttt tutorial on it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAIOVz2PnPs&t=53s
For editing meshes, it's pretty easy!:O http://sims4studio.com/thread/662/index-studio-tutorials-online-manual Try checking out the CAS related tutorials!
Imo i think starting off with marvelous designer made meshes might work out better for you.
Even tho edting meshes is really easy, theres still some stuff that can go wrong if you dont have knowledge of 3d modeling tools.
A huge suggestion is to look up terminology for 3d modeling, especially Blender.
Learning about what vertices, edges, faces, uv maps etc are can really be helpful when trying to understand what the tutorials are sayind =D It really helped me

yes! thats exactly how i feel. like I'm all for 100% making money on your stuff, but on conversions it just feels weird to me... ESPECIALLY*double* adflyD:. and yeah double adfly on makeup based stuff that is pretty much made from real life photos is weird to me too XD.
but anyways thank you ;-; I appreciate it alot! I have a new one cooking in the oven but it might not come up for a while since I have an event to do in secondlife ;u;

WEll secondlife has looser limits on the "Polycount" of items. Generally for sims you have to keep stuff lower polycount, or you'd get a lot of lag if too much of the item showed at once (like hairs, objects esp, etc.)
Also the textures for secondlife arent as compressed as sims, for the same reason.
Secondlife is super laggy for that reason because no one really cares about polycount there XD.
I do know how to convert from secondlife, but I dont really approve of it @_@ (its a little different from converting from big name companies like Tera etc. because the creators arent as big) I mean at the endof the day if its for personal use I guess its fine? ;-; I used to do it before I joined secondlife and became a creator, but strictly for learning purposes (aka I just looked at it in blender, thats all)
Comments
Personally I don't see the issue if you convert,I just think there shouldn't be an adfly link without the original creator knowing
And I don't like the double adfly thing, especially when they do individual packages in sets
But thanks,I'll check them out!
