I am sorry that you are having this issue,
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.
Try switching between 32 bit mode and 64 bit mode and see if one of the modes helps the issues more than the other.
Go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture.
Click on “Game Properties”. Click on Advanced Launch options.
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit”
Or change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 64-bit”
Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
If after doing all the above things the issue still continues, could you please post your DxDiag info here. It will take multiple posts.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread
@paigekristinaa Unfortunately your computer is below minimum requirements to run the game. All in ones are not meant for gaming. Do you have another computer to play on? This game does require a mid range gaming desktop or higher need gaming laptop. If you don't have another computer I suggest thinking about investing in a computer that meets the recommended requirements to run this game. Then it would just keep crashing. I have no mods of anything Glad i didnt incest it expansions. I wish they would make the game more compatible with computers. I cant afford a new one at the moment. I've literally just tried everything to make my game work. I play a couple minutes then exited the game to install cc and went back to playing. It worked fine but about 30 minutes later it won't load. I click play and it seems like it's loading then nothing

Shut down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch the game and see if that helps.
Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues. Your welcome. Sorry I did not see this post sooner. The sims 2 has lower specs than this game and is an older game. I see you typoed but you might be able to run the sims 2 on your computer. Congrats on the new baby!
Sorry to post on a holiday, but I am at my wits end. I started the game on a new pc, but did not actually create a save, I just logged on and then logged back off. Then, I was trying to add a save from old pc to new pc, I used a flash drive and copied the last save file. Opened the save folder on the new pc and copied the file into the saves folder. Now, every-time i try to launch the game, I get a message that it is not working. I did the repair 3 time and I uninstalled and reinstalled. Not sure what else could be the issue. Is there a certain file ext that is supposed to be in the save file already? It was empty when I attempted to move the old file to the new pc.

I am glad that the game loaded Try adding the save file to your saves folder. Then load the game and test to see if there are any issues. If there is an issue, remove the save file again and test if you have the same issue when loading the game without the save file.
Can I remove the files that are in the save folder and replace with the files I had on my flash drive? or should it be added to the folder and just do a replace if the same file names are already in there?

I am sorry that you are having this issue,
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.
Make sure that your graphics drivers are up to date.
If you are playing on a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, do what is in this thread.

Try switching between 32 bit mode and 64 bit mode and see if one of the modes helps the issues more than the other.
Go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture.
Click on “Game Properties”. Click on Advanced Launch options.
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit”
Or change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 64-bit”
Try starting the game in windowed mode

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
If after doing all the above things the issue still continues, could you please post your DxDiag info here. It will take multiple posts.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread

Shut down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch the game and see if that helps.
Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues. Your welcome. Sorry I did not see this post sooner. The sims 2 has lower specs than this game and is an older game. I see you typoed but you might be able to run the sims 2 on your computer. Congrats on the new baby!

Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go,to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game
If the issues remain, try uninstalling and reinstalling Origin and see if that helps.

However, I switched from 64 bit to 32 bit and the game loaded. Thank you so much!
I am leery now about adding the contents of my save file because of all the trouble I just had.

Can I remove the files that are in the save folder and replace with the files I had on my flash drive? or should it be added to the folder and just do a replace if the same file names are already in there?
