Quinn and Baz are both a really interesting mix of Shannyn and Jason. Baz has a lot of Jason's features, but Quinn got Jason's head shape. I'm actually really bad at picking out exactly what features kids get from their parents. haha

Baz also has gotten HUGE in my game. lol He needed fitness for his career.

I commented over on your story blog but I also just wanted to add, I love how optimistic M is! She seriously would make me happy just to be around her. Unlike Shannyn who I imagine feels like M is foolishly going to get herself hurt or worse with this happy attitude but I like to think Shannyn has instilled enough smarts, courage, and toughness into all four of her kids to keep them safe and Jason (/swoon) has instilled the optimism in them.

You're definitely right, @cshaner . Shannyn does worry that Myrcella's optimism will get her hurt. But she is happy that Myrcella has found something she cares about. She has a hard time showing it, but she loves all her children. Just in different ways from what is really the "norm."

Thank you!!! I love knowing that even if she cannot express herself normally - she still loves them. It sorta feels like at least M thinks Shannyn only loves Kayne.

I guess I kind of think of her now as emotionally stunted like Shaw in Person of Interest if you've seen that. (Side note Amy Acker plays Root who is a very bad a** Winifred Burkle) Shannyn feels but is unable to demonstrate.

Yeah, Myrcella definitely doesn't feel Shannyn's love. They're very, very different people, and Shannyn expresses her concerns by pushing her children harder. Kayne can see that, and has a touch of that himself, but he can also express his love in more positive ways (largely thanks to Emmalina's influence). For Myrcella, it's kind of like, because she's never seen Shannyn express tender feelings, she doesn't believe she has them, even though we all know Shannyn definitely does.

I cannot even tell you how much I adore Shannyn in this chapter.

Also I was looking at all the family photos. I would have loved a pov from Jason with this thoughts on how Gio's pic is always present and always larger than anyone else's.

@cshaner Actually, Shannyn and Gio's picture is no longer the biggest one. It's not in any of these shots, but right above it, there's a picture of Kayne and Emmalina. I decided that all heir/spouse couples will have a large picture to commemorate them and everyone else will have a small-sized picture.

Just binge read the entire thing, no kidding

I absolutely loved Shannyn and Jason's relationship (wow, that must sound weird) and I loved how you portrayed it!
Also: Emmalina is gorgeous! I couldn't help thinking it every time I saw her. I bet she and Kayne will have gorgeous kids (That's a lot of pressure on you, Catalina. Grow up pretty!)
Myrcella is downright my fave character right now, love how she has her very own pov chapters and I hope we'll see her finding love some day too
