Retail issues

I'm having a few retail issues since the patch.

First, I can't send my employee home early ( ie allow to clock out early). They complete the interaction but the employee just resumes her duties and can still be managed. On most occasions she will go home before closing based on hours allowed ( fair work sim act) but once she was there for 14 hours. She will go home when the store is closed. There seems to be a last exception report relating to this.

Second, my owner sim cannot clean display objects ( ie podium and bakery displays). She can restock them ok. I direct her to clean and she gets close then acts like she can't reach it, with a routing error,. If I go into build mode and move the object, it can be cleaned then.

I took out the four mods I had in and repaired game. At first the cleaning was working again but still couldn't send employee home. But the cleaning seemed a fluke and after the second item became dirty, it still couldn't be cleaned with mods out.

I haven't tried a new game yet but does anyone have any ideas or is also seeing this?

I came to the forums just to see if anyone else was reporting this. I'm having the same exact issues. Cannot send employee home early. My sim speaks to the employee, the animation plays out on both sims but the employee doesn't leave. My sims cannot clean any displays either unless I have at least one space available, otherwise I get the routing error.

Can you guys try on a fresh game with no mods for testing purposes to see if you have the same ?

Hello.
It would be good to start a new save game like crinrict suggested and see if the issues remain.

Also try buying a new store and test to see if the issues are occurring in that one also.

I can confirm the 'allow clock out early' one.

Throws an error.

Checking on display still but I'm guessing that's just as valid

Confirming display as well

Can someone make a bug report at AHQ for me ?

Other simmers are also having this issue. There will soon be a thread about the issue on the AHQ EA site, When the thread is posted there, it would be good if you would like to press " me too" on the thread.

Do you have cc/mods in your game? If you do, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issues are still there.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" and "ReticulatedSplinesView" files and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated files/ folders with the old files/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder .

I am sorry that you are having this issue. There was another simmer who was posting that they were experiencing the same thing.

Have you tried testing it in another store as well, and did the same issues occur there as well?

Also, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Would you mind sharing your save ? It's something I can't duplicate in my own game but many have been complaining for a while.

I think a save would be helpful.

All clients have become addicted to chairs ... (presumably for the new package with restaurant) Before the last patch all worshipped to sit on the couch, the now loves to sit on the chairs, as if there's not couch on retail.

The only stand seen by clients is the manikin...
Tried CC retail (medieval bakery), tried clothes retail (no CC).
(used microsoft translator)

yes, but how?
The last save isn't from a vanilla game, I have MCC installed for doctor career fix. So the save game isn't clean. If you wish, I will play a vanilla game again with the standard retail....

I was angry because of all the errors of EA that I have deleted all the attempts of the vanilla game (Have been many attempts to see any error of mods used in game)

Upload the save somewhere (mediafire, google drive, drop box, your choice (nothing asian I can't read)), then PM me the link (as you are a new member, you can send me the link at MTS if you want)

I have the can't clean displays issue as well, at first I thought there were too many customers standing in front of it, but apparently it has nothing to do with it. I clicked "me too" on the AHQ thread.

Another simmer, Snowhaze, who had a similar issue to you posted this workaround which helped them. I will post it in case it helps you.

I had a similar problem after the patch. I found that taking the items off sale and then putting them back on sale right afterwards attracts the customers to the displays and that they start buying again after that.
I hope this helps until the problem gets fixed.
